Well t, thanks, and who doesn`t remember:
Kyon na roti-on ka ped hum banayein
Aam todein roti todein
Roti aam khayein!

Saminasha,
That was a sincere reply!
I expected fireworks about Israel being included for the list of the countries is a take off on the nursery rhymes which kids sing about continents!
Then I thought there would be fireworks about Ghouries and Agnis, particularly the latter acquiring a phallic status!
Then of course there were the kabootars and others!

Good to have you interact on the front page at least, Faiza.

Thanks and regards to ballukhan, aaisha and baaghiraja.

Sameena,

Thanks for the kind reply!

``I was looking forward to some fireworks for response here but thanks anyway``

Okay :) , I dont think most heterosexuals know how to live peaceably with the rest of the world....

(Hows that for a sparkler, anyway?)

Finally, one human face of the future on the chowk- no prophets of doom- doomsdays- jaljalas- purist vs jahils non-sense view of the future...we need more of these visions.

Hello readers,
I was looking forward to some fireworks for response here but thanks anyway.
Saminasha, your `intersesting` is much cherished.

Wish it could be true SameerJB but Gavaskar`s Rohan is already married while Sachin`s Sara is still a bachi. So we will have to wait till R and S`s progeny get married!
Don`t know about K and A but Shah Rukh openly wishes for Madhuri to have a daughter for his son to fall in love with her! So we still have some hope from Bollywood!

Your couplets are giving me a tough time teshah sb!
I am sure they are wonderful so will rush to ammi for a better understanding!

Regards,
Saman.

Wonderful dear Samina your `Times to come`. It remindes me a couplet from Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi:--

`` Yoon biphar jate hein mahoul-o-muqaddar ke naqib
jese fitrat ka khilona hoon mein insan nahin``
And Allama Iqbal says:--

`` He kabhi jan aor kabhi tasleem-e-jan he zindgi``

And above all `Ummul Kitab, Surat Fatiha` in the great Quran. We are nothing but the seekers of the `Path` about which we know nothing. But the people who read it dozens of times daily go on a far away `Yatra` and worship a black stone.

And the great Aarif Ghalib says:--

`` Der-o-Harram Aaina-e-takrar-e-tamanna
Wamandigi-e-shouq tarashe he pannahen``

The truth is; the man is made of earth but contains the spirit of God. This dichotomy makes him roll etween heaven and hell, never at peace with himself ; except as Iqbal says:-

``Nah jahan mein kahin aman mili, jo aman mili to kahan milli
mere jurm-e-khana kharab ko tere afu-e-banda nawaz mein``

Look what <.i> instead of with <> does to the lower body of the article in the New World Order. While upper body remains desi, lower body turns italian (italics). And you forgot to mention that Karishma Kapoor`s kapoori marries Abhishek Bacchan`s baccha and rule the bollywood.

The grandchild of Gavaskar and Tendulkar (son from the union of Gavaskar`s son and Tendulkar`s daughter) breaks all record in cricket. He opened the Indian inning in a test against Bangladesh and remained not out at the end of the test making 1000 runs out of Indian total of 2111 for 7, despite wet balls, flooded stadium and constant mosquito bitings due to ``ghoorni jhaRh`` cyclone/ hurricane in Dhaka stadium. Oh well, at least A. K. M. Abul Kalam Shams Uddin Mohammad Jaleel BhuyyaN took 5 wickets.
