If the Terror Watcher (in fact mother of all Terror - father is Israel) is declaring Pakistan as a Frontline State in the Terror War then why Indian friends envy?
US knows very well the whole game and the real `manufacturer` of Osamas and Saddam so they don`t ask the silly often-repeated question - Who created Taliban?
India until the decline of Saddam supported Saddam. Did we ever object? Iran has more friendlier relations with Iran then why suspect Pakistan for Nuclear proliferation? America is transferring all the technology to Israel which is being onward transferred to India. Do Muslims object?
All the Wars in world in recent times were to make Israel safe and strong. So does War on Terror (War of Terror). All the possible threats to Israel will be weakened one by one. Iraq done. Iran under preperation. Egypt and Jordan done long time by putting some green bucks in their mouth. All volunteers after a little arm twist are welcome. Libya is a role model.
For Pakistan, the recipe is chosen. The only justification for Pakistan`s having Nuclear arsenal is threat of India. What if there is no Kashmir dispute, friendship and trade flourishes, joint films are being made; then we will be forced to scrap all bombs and missiles voluntarily or face the restrictions, deadlines and then Musharraf will be given choice to be Saddam or Qaddafi. Seeing his track-record, I am quite sure Musharraf is more smarter than Qaddafi.
My father is saying we will not do until India also does. No papa, India will have excuse to keep them for China and US will support this idea.
Te fer puttar, Pakistan is a Frontline Foolish in the Terror War
Hail Father.
Hail USA.

The newest lesson that history is teaching us and no one, as usual, is learning from it is that today`s dictators will be tomorrow`s Saddam Hussains. The same rule applies to Musharaf. He is committing all the crimes against his own people while robotically acting to fulfill foreign agenda. A point in time will definitely come when he will become a liability for his masters rather than an asset. And this time is going to come sooner than later.
Musharaf in particular and Pakistanis in general should thank haven that situation in Iraq and in Afghanistan has only delayed the inevitability. The inevitibility is that Pakistan will be forced to disarm and compel to reduce its armed forces after a puppet democratic regime will replace military dictatorship. Such puppets are dime a dozen. A necessary pre-requisite for this to happen is that the Taliban threat is neutralized in Afghanistan first. Us is employing both military muscle and diplomacy to do that. The common sense suggests that the Talibans are the only leverage that Pak Army and Pakistan has to keep a check on US agenda. As long as Pak Army makes the right moves on the chess board i.e. keep Taliban leverage tilted on its side, Pak Army and Paksitan are safe. US is an enemy that is unprincipled, lawless and ruthless, so common sense suggests that Pak Army will go along with its gutt feeling - the gutt feeling of self-preservation. The badly timed bomb attack on Musharaf`s convoy may be just be a deliberate warning from CIA. Whoever can install bombs under Lei bridge could have easily installed a remote controlled detonator as well. Let the common sense add two plus two.

Another question for Consul General Jamadani -- Why has Pakistan become the world`s most dangerous nuclear proliferator? How does that fit with claims of moderation? What is the truth here? Is the NYTimes lying? Or are you a liar Consul-sahib? If this is moderation, then what is extremism?
Hello, where are you going, consul general sahib? Hey, you didn;t answer my question.....
AND NOW THE SHOCKING TRUTH ABOUT A MILITARY DICTATORSHIP WHICH SUPPORTS TERRORISM, MURDER OF CIVILIANS AND PROLIFERATES WMD to other extremists. How many days to iraqization? My guess is 6 months...

I guess I am joining late in this discussion. I am somewhat confused as to why a so-called Pakistan Night’s main topic of discussion was Terrorism. Why was it necessary to start discussions by declaring that Pakistan is a frontline state against Terrorism?
The best thing would have been to introduce Pakistan in a positive way by discussing the progress and transition Pakistan has made after the independence from a tribal and feudal society to a heavy middle class and a great deal of progress it has made in other areas such as education etc.
The paradox inherent in Pakistan assertions about terrorism are so stark that any sane person, who follows international politics even a little, would just have to pass up on Pakistani claims. Pakistan has-whether Pakistani like to hear it or not, supported militants, whose basic philosophy of retaliation for presumed injustices is, by means that fall within the purview of being acts of terrorism. As it always happens from there on, Pakistani intellectuals jump on the Kashmir cause.
The next step for Pakistani is to attempt to justify Pak support for militants and their questionable methods of fighting in Kashmir. Suggestions that, Pakistan did not support militants in Kashmir are not truthful.
The Pakistan consul’s speech, if not funny, was just a parroting of Pakistan official foreign policy line. He too, should have emphasized the progress Pakistan has made instead of trying to convince students that Pakistan was an American ally. They already knew that.

First and foremost I wanted to congratulate Yasser Latif Hamdani
and Aisha Fayyazi Sarwari on their wedding in Pakistan today.
Let us wish them both the very best and the same goes for their
respective families.
Now to the topic at hand here, it never fails to surprise me that
Indian’s who are supposed to be so reasonable and well mannered
In comparison to “emotional/irrational/jihadist/” Pakistanis should
feel such an urge to cut down this report. Because after all this is
a report of an event, amongst the many I write every year.
And before getting too personal, let us remember that this is
NOT an opinion piece.
Winds of change are once again blowing in South Asia and
relationships are being studied closely once again. Even the
thorny Kashmir problem is getting closer study. It does not
help anyone at this point to get excited and off the handle.
It is in EVERYONE’S INTEREST to make sure that the
rule of law prevails and control over fanatics is strengthened.
It is certainly in India’s interest to see that this happens in Pakistan
and that the forces of moderation are assisted there.
But thus far in response to this report, juvenile expressions
of hate and a false sense of superiority do not offering encouragement.
I am a Pakistan-Watcher at best and cannot claim any inner knowledge
Of what has occurred in that part of the world either before or after 9/11.
I have not lived in Pakistan for almost 30 years so what I have to say cannot
matter all that much But like any keen observer all I have to say is that India
and Pakistan need to improve their relationship because countries in possession
of nuclear weapons cannot continue to be daggers drawn all the time.
Interesting things are happening in that part of the world today. The sole
Superpower is running like a bull in a china shop.
Some Indians are hoping like hell that Pakistan is targeted next. That is the
reason that this article is drawing such a response from them.
But before you guys from across the border start doing cartwheels and
start celebrating too soon, it would be best to remind you that the sole
Superpower will do what is in its own interest and no amount of wishful
thinking is going to sway it on EITHER SIDE.
A very interesting situation has developed in the India-Pakistan context.
A “SECULAR” minded dictator is in power in Pakistan who seems to
Enjoy international support and is discouraging fascism in that society. On the
Other hand an elected RIGHT WING government is in Power in India is not averse
to using fascism i.e. Gujarat.
Whatever happens during the first week of January 2004 at the SAARC
conference in bound to be interesting.
Now Indians need to take a deep breath and chill.
Only Yogiraj has brought forward something of interest. The rest
Of you guys can feel free to grind your teeth.
Pakistan is in deep soup. But it finally has something to
Negotiate with George W. who still appears to be “tight”
with the real PM ruling the country.
I am anxiously waiting for some rational response from
You guys. Whatever happens in Pakistan is bound to
affect you whether you like it or not.

Pakistan has been the source of lot of terrorism in India for a long time, and when its ambassador mealy mouths its fight against terrorism, then it is right for Indians to put the records straight.
Question is that out of the 15 responses so far only one is from a Pakistani (you) and even that is not about the article. Is it that the Pakistanis have nothing to say? Could it be because of the hypocrtical nature the subject and they know the critcism is valid.
