i am wondering if a man could write this article about his boyfriends, without letting audience doubt his orientation !
Sobia ji, when r u going to write pakistani `sex and the city` episodes for Geo TV?

I remember my friends telling me like it was...` oh God please dont wear this dress again . you look ugly with a capital C....` and they would say that aloud..and people nearby would be shocked and look at me sympathetically...but I would be totally fine. totally fine.
and when they said..`you look gorgeous...` its then I would make their life miserable...` nahiN ? such keho ? so what did I do differently today ? do you think its my hair ? do you think my hair looks better when its freshly washed or on day 3 ? ` do you think i should just let it remain dirty in order to look good ?`
I miss my friends...
life was awesome when they were closeby...
yes thank God for emails phones....

You are funny.....Pakistani version of ``sex in the city`` hmmm.... can`t have it due to mullahs, unless you plan to shoot and broadcast only in DHA - Karachi.
Which actress do you think will/can play Samantha, Khalida Riasat is no longer around to do it...just wondering.

Sobia:
An emotionally charged, nostalgic, and generally ``feel-good`` article.
Freesoul #1:
A man`s ``boyfriends``. Not only does that sound gay, but pedophilic at the same time. Bravo for killing two birds with one stone, or should I say stepping in two different piles of shit with one step. I always thought a man`s male friends were called ``friends``, without the gender qualifier, and his female friends were called ``just friends``.
Male and female behavior differences can be seen quite nicely in the way they behave with friends, which reminds me of a joke that goes as follows:
Two women meet up.
First woman: Oooooh, you got a haircut?
Second woman: Yes (turning her head from side to side), do you like it?
First woman: Yes! You look gorgeous, I love the way it accentuates the shape of your face.
Second woman: Thankyou, but your hair has such volume and always makes you look 10 years younger.
First woman: You must be kidding. I hate my hair, it makes my ankles look fat.
Second woman: I don`t know what you`re talking about, I`ve always envied your hair.
(And so on and so forth)
Two men meet up.
First man: Haircut?
Second man: Yeah.
Regards,
Irfan Hamid.
PS: Most women will use the joke to point out how emotionally stunted and unreachable men are. I agree, but I prefer being emotionally stunted rather than being an emotional stunt.

Sobia,
Though this reads like an i-log, it was slightly enjoyable nonetheless :D
Give my regards to Rubab. Thanks.

It is quite obvious that the writer`s repressed feministic sexuality is showing through this long drawn out article. As a man, I think it is good to have a woman with many girl-friends...the ore she has, the less jealous she will be of his own socialising.
I agree with the last writer. There definitely is a Sex and the Mohalla twist to this article...

Sobia:
This is more like a postscript or afterthoughts....true friends dont ask for thanks and dont need it. It is almost spiritual and transcendental bonding which does not need testing, connecting, remembering and proving anything. I have met ``lost friends: after years during visits to Pakistan. Not one ever complain of not remembering, sending cards, attending celebration etc. It starts as if nothing happened during years of out od touch..True frendships are thicker than steel ropes.....no point testing them with kitchen knife..
It may be more of a desire to write for a person who likes writing than expressing thanks to people who should be undeterred with or without such gestures..but you do love your friends and that is good.....keep writing

Try again Sobia. Your style isn`t bad, just work on fluffing up the content a little

Thanks for reading. For those of you who think it reads like `Sex and the City`, I`m more than a little amused because these are really just my thoughts, like sameer said. There`s no secret agenda and I really don`t see why most of the men who`re reading this are feeling so threatened (for those who are not, good for you!:) ).
Sameer: I believe we DO need to say thanks once in a while. We need to tell people they`re special to us. I guess I was in an emotional mood when I wrote the piece ;)
PM, perhaps this DID belong in my ilog, but I guess the editors didn`t quite agree :P
Raka: email/phones zindabad!
t: thanks for reading!
rozaiba: I`ll pass on your message..glad you liked the article a ``little bit`` :P
semi: thanks for reading and understanding...somehow i knew u would :)
irfanhamid: men are usually incapable of expressing their emotions, which is a bit sad, because I love a good crying/screaming/laughing/gossipping session with my girls! :)
saintdiablo: that was truly profound..if the rest of your writings are also like this, you`ll go far in this world.
