#5 saffron: Badtameezi si na badtameezi kare to aur kare badtameez kya? (Ibne Insha se maazrat) Anyway, Chowk Staff were so short on travel pieces, they published this. ;) I however have better editing standards for my iLog.
#6 Urstruly: You feel neglected? and I feel belittled, baddi (as in burai) and then that ``perfunctory welcome``. ah.
#8 M.B.Z.Isphahani: But it did take 125 mins, i timed it.
#9 by HP : I had no say in the hotel reservations, it was close to my place of appointment. Anyway it did not appear like a red light area, saw no arabs or business women... but waht do i know. hmm..
#11 ally: read the moral again. ;)
hmm...did i miss out anyone? none`s neglected, right?
and lastly, I would have requested Chowk Staff to take this `waste of bandwidth` off but decided against it, it would serve as reminder for me to read and think twice, if not thrice, before submitting a piece of writing (typing) and be a nishan e ibrat for others.
nahin koi cheez nikkammi qudrat ke karkhane main...

Staying at a hotel in King’s cross!
That is like living in a red light district.
It was famous for poor Arab patrons. Arab men mostly young, would disembark from their planes and before heading for training, get a girl at King’s Cross and then it was gangbang time in any seedy 6 pound hotel room in King’s cross.
Gross place to even walk by.

... that`s alright Urstruly
But why blame the Brits when the Taj Mahal is no different ?
... and what about the lovely Sheesh Mahal in the Lahore fort ...?
If it weren`t for the Brits ... you and I would be slaving away at the tomb of a dead concubine ... the main squeeze of one of our nawabs ... only to have our children grind and polish rocks when we die of malnutrition at the age 28 ... without ever knowing what 401k means ...

all the more reason to see the place then, a homage to the sacrifices of our/your people. someone said London is a very cliched city, and I agree, as you go about it, everything seems familiar. i enjoyed the feel of it though. liberating...but then, i find every city liberating...erm...is that a good thing?
