april fools day has come and gone. on that day your excuse for taunting indians and making ridiculous statements was that you were just playing a joke. what bloody excuse do you have this time?
you cannot win against the great arjuna! no one can! the sooner you realize this, you might actually begin to make sense : )

Arjun,
The P*ki army also killed thousands of Balochis in the late 70`s into early 80`s.
There was a popular revolt.
The P*kis on this site will never talk about such things. They are only interested
in covering up.

tahmed sahib,
O.K. I promise u i will try to be less critical and more constructive. But i do not know how long it will last. My personality being what it is, i will soon be jumping up and down at some real/perceived nonsense on board.

Douche bag!
You have already accepted that you are sucking up in glory holes w/o a wiener!
First, it was ethnic cleansing in Pakistan. Couldn’t prove it, couldn’t find any link. Now it is Bangladesh. Go find the link and we will deal w/that too.
Next you are gonna blame Muslims for your lost wiener. Okay! go ahead and do it. Just post the link too.

acloudysky #162 to Deepak (is he really from the same country as some of these jerks we have been putting up with?): ``Expect us Pakistanis to be the same always_ warm, fun-loving, and hospitable as ever. ``
Agreed. Basic tempraments dont change.

HP/Ahmedzai: If I may throw in my two bits. Democracy is not a static concept. It evolves. Thus, while it may be OK for now, under the circumstances, to accept the ``guided democracy`` of musharaff, this cant go on for ever. With every year, we should see the people`s voice reflected more and more in the legislature. With every year, we should see the country`s leaders held more and more accountable. Thus, the march towards democracy is perhaps more important in the long run than exactly where we happen to be today.
#164 Posted by tahmed32 on April 21, 2004 2:28:04 pm
rsridhar: What you say to ahmedzai about being an equal opportunity critic of both India and Pakistan is true. How about taking some time off from criticism, and becoming an equal opportunity appreciater of both countries. Surely there is plenty of things one could fall in love with in either country. Also good for the blood pressure to be more appreciative and less critical of things. (as a doctor, I am sure you will understand the significance of keeping one`s blood pressure down). ;-)

..the dhoti angle was simply to point out that it is much easier to show the lingum than say dockers...and the paki crowd would have immediately accepted you as a hindu..it`s another thing they would have forcibly converted to islam within no time by a simple operation aka `khatna`...;)

`` would like CREDIBLE SOURCES as to the reports that considerable sums of money from the punjab education budget are going towards the lashkar-e-toiba. please note that i said credible sources. i don`t question sadna`s reference to this. . .``
In #114 I didnot mean to say that money from the Punjab educational budget was going to LeT.
I meant to say an EQUIVALENT of 41% of Punjab educational budget of 2002-2003, or alternately an EQUIVALENT of 9% of Punjab educational budget of 2003-2004 was being donated to LeT voluntarily by average Pakistanis. I pointed out this equivalence in answer to Romair`s statement that average Pakistanis have moved on from their hatred of Indians.
Since I had posted in #89 that the donations to LeT was in the form of sacrificial hides of animals sacrificed at Id, it is not clear how you misunderstood as you apparently have.
One thing I didnot point out was that the Punjab educational budget is for the whole year, while the jihadi collection amount was in January-March 2004, with 9 months more of fund collection.

//...I am afraid of the actions of the RSS, and .... should i not be? am i anti-indian for thinking this way? ...//
You should be concerned about actions of RSS/VHP. We all are. And NO - you are NOT anti-Indian for thinking that way.
+++++++++++
//...there are those pakistanis present here on chowk who will not paint all hindus as being muslim-killers...//
Gee - thanks. Somehow I have a feeling that indians really don`t give two hoots about how pakis ``paint`` all hindus. It don`t matter either way.
At the end of the day - Indians have a collective responsibility to make sure that no mass murder, likes of what we have seen in Godhra and Gujrat, ever happens again. Which means - hindus have a collective responsibility to prevent Gujrat-type killings ...... and Muslims have a collective responsility to prevent Godhra-type killings......Kashmiri muslims have a collective responsibility towards Pundits...... Christisn majority in Nagaland or wherever have similar responsibility towards minority hindus in their area.
Similarly - Pakis have collective responsibility to make sure Jihadis and other assorted terrorists donot cross over to India to kill and create havoc.
Let`s not run away from these facts.

considering that the world is topsy-turvy and ever declining in the age of progress and `democracy`, and all other things considered, i have a few requests and questions:
i would like CREDIBLE SOURCES as to the reports that considerable sums of money from the punjab education budget are going towards the lashkar-e-toiba. please note that i said credible sources. i don`t question sadna`s reference to this. . .but in what obviously appears to be fear on the part of some, hatred on the part of others, once again, we have reached a name-calling stage. and as always we are finding justifications.
in this democracy we call america, we know where some of our money is going. . it is going to help build the military so that they can go play cowboy in the world. we don`t pay our taxes, we go to jail. and some people here would rather do that than support a war machine.
some of us in the diaspora have been invited to join AID, and we have declined because we do not know for certain where our money is going to end up. we have read of monies being sent here to support the RSS, and we saw no clear indication as to who would eventually benefit from our contributions. so we declined, in fear.
when a council of ignoramuses talks about donating money to support the lashkar, should everyone not be afraid? not just the indians (and that is obvious here), but us pakistanis as well? why is it that we who speak of peace, and hope, and that nine-letter word, democracy, but when the indians raise the spectre of lashkar, we throw pointed accusations about them being anti-pakistani or anti-muslim (oh, forgive me it`s all the same)? am i the only one this makes no sense to?
as for the indians, i am not a part of the ummah, but i am a pakistani who is horrified and afraid of the actions of the RSS, and the implications of those actions on non-hindus, and hindus. should i not be? am i anti-indian for thinking this way? there are those pakistanis present here on chowk who will not paint all hindus as being muslim-killers.
a note to both pakistanis and indians, average or not: you can thoopo keechar on each other all you want, but we all have garbage and keechar in our own back yards to clean up. all of us. and perhaps this is our collective coping mechanism: this keechar throwing.
talks are to `resume` on kashmir. . .i have already heard the musharraf rhetoric, and i am afraid. i am afraid because `big brother` lives. i am afraid because if he should choose or support drastic action it will not be in all of our names, or the name of god. i don`t want any more of our men, women and children to die because of violent actions. we were never the same people even when there was no pakistan, and we will not be the same. . .and fik`r not for those of you who are truly afraid. .no amount of people to people interactions will make us so. our sameness is in our humanness, our humanity. . .perhaps one of these days we will be awake to that in ourselves and each other again.
it has been suggested that i am naive, and that i have my head in the sand. . .i would rather be that way. it`s a whole different reality.
my apologies for this post being romairesque in length. as for the sources for the punjab budget, or the pakistani budget. . .if someone could please send those to envbdjd@yahoo.com i would appreciate it.
thank you,
nooralain
