Thx for motivation.

As much as I agree with you, Ms. Zehra, I would like to suggest a solution that has worked for me. Find a hobby or profession that you love to do, and I really mean `love` to do, not for monetary or social reasons. And you will suddenly find your days filled with excitement and sense of achievements. Ask yourself what intrigues you most and what derives your passion, and you will find your answer. I guarantee you that each morning you will wake up looking forward to the day ahead of you. Another major factor is the `Fear of Change`. You overcome this demon, and you will feel pretty much liberated. Keep your mind open and adapt to change but with an attitude. Take whatever comes to you with headstrong confidence and you will be able to not only enjoy that change, but at the same time derive more energy from it.

It may sound like I`m preaching, but I think I`ve been able to do it. I look forward to every single day with excitement and come home with a sense of achievement and envisioning more things into future. Something that I can look forward to. I`m not talking about simple changes, but life changing events. I`ve moved from one country to another, and yet to another, totally chaning everything in doing so.... yet I do not regret a single decision that I made. I learned along the way. Each problem was a solution for more. However, I should add a caution here, and that is the thought process that goes into that change itself can become overwhelming, at times. But when it comes down to meeting the challenges after the change, i enjoy the thrill and get a kick out of accomplishing, sometimes the impossible. I should add here that I am a disabled guy, who walks on one real and one artificial leg.....and with that one artificial leg, I won third position in University Table Tennis competitions.....did I need to mention that? probably yes, because it can tell you what other challenges I had to go through....to prove..to none other than myself.

Is it easier said than done? probably yes, but the biggest weapon that I later realized was the attitude. You have the power to change your life, like everyone else, and its you alone who can do it. Yes routine sound depressing, but if you really are looking into invigorating your life, change your attitude towards life, and you will start feeling the difference. The only person that cares about you, is YOU. Your mind is the ultimate tool, and rest is perseverence in persistency....YES THERE IS HOPE OUT THERE. A pleasureful life is possible for all of us, we just have to adjust our thought process.....and so on....feels like I`m preaching...don`t want to do that....you have the answers, just ask yourself the right questions, and you can change your days from boring to exciting.......

Do I sound like I`ve attained perfection? no, not at all, I still have to conquer so many other demons and overcome so many other hurdles of life, but they make it more exciting rather than depressing....

Best wishes,

It`s unbelieveable that all of you feel this way...very few people tend to appreciate the small things in life.

#5-Dr_Riq: Routine can be very bad for the soul. Everyday should be filled with something new, something different. But frankly, to do that can be very difficult. Right now I am going through a phase in life where I have to choose between the rational and my passion. The latter attracts me but the routine bug is preventing my escape. I hope my passion wins.

#6-fiz:There are very few people who can actually motivate you and encourage you in doing things away from the ordinary. Trust me, its not easy at all. One has to have a strong will and much determination. More than that, one needs spirit and guts for doing something wild, or different.

This article was an effort to mobilize myself and hopefully, to make others get up and going to. Right now, I feel I need to paste this article where I can see it every single hour of every single day.

I need to get going too!

Farheen Zehra

wonderful farheen, its such a good article, and you are right in saying that its always easier said than done, seriously we can plan today that we would do this or that but really when it comes to materialization we tend to drag everything...we should motivate and remind each other of our life`s value often, don`t you agree?
:)

A friend once told me ``Routine is the cyanide of the soul!`` and I haven`t looked back. Your wonderful, upbeat article should remind us all of the need to treat life as an ever growing experiment, and how every new experience adds to our knowledge and persona.

The same friend also recommended a book, which (sad to say) I haven`t picked up yet... the title is ``Veronika Decides to Die`` by ``Paulo Coelho``; its about routine and madness (how one can be a byproduct of the other regardless of their contrasts)...

Enjoy! And Farheen, write again, please!

Nice article! All of us share these thoughts and aspirations. We really should motivate each other from time to time, just like this article motivated me. Thanks Farheen and keep writing! :-]
