yes surely, i also agree with you rogue!
u r absolutely right , none of the females can travel by bus at night! and if anyone does then only she knows what she`ll be going through!

valid points
but the solution is not to hail them as saviours of the downtrodden but to put a leash
i agree shutting them down is not the right move but a leash is definitely required.
they flout traffic regulations
and fleece the public
can u imagine a girl travelling late in the evening in these buses ??

letter to Daily Times:
Make use of what we have
Sir: Pakistan’s tourism industry has suffered immensely in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, with many Westerners avoiding the country due to security fears, which are exacerbated by Pakistan’s negative image around the world. Improving Pakistan’s image will be an arduous task and attracting Western tourists will require a long-term commitment.
In the interim, Pakistan can greatly benefit by looking at the huge market that is our Eastern neighbour. The success of the India-Pakistan cricket series and the tremendous experience of the Indian visitors means that Pakistan’s image in India has improved. In the words of the noted Indian journalist, M J Akbar, Pakistan now has 10,000 ‘Goodwill Ambassadors’ in India.
By specifically marketing our tourism industry to Indians, Pakistan can reap significant economic benefits. Harappa and Mohenjadaro, along with Pakistan’s Northern areas, can be hot destinations for Indians and can benefit all sorts of businesses.
Pakistan must also liberalise its visa policy for Indians to make sure that the untapped Indian market (1 billion people) can be utilised effectively. Political differences take time to resolve. In the meantime, let us enjoy the economic benefits that Indian tourists can provide us. I am sure the Indians would find Pakistan to be an interesting place and the visit a good experience. This is truly a win-win prospect that we must not ignore.
