``They saw everything in that journey. Infants being poked and slain by swords and lances. The Sikhs were merciless and furious. She saw unborn children being taken out by a sword from a pregnant women’s womb. The turbaned folk were carrying their duties towards their homeland in a very staunch manner. That is why she loved it when they were humiliated, persecuted and banished in 1983. Any Muslim with a conscience and a true knowledge of the events would love that. They massacred us and they deserved that. They deserved even more!``
Actually it was the Hindus torturing the Muslims...didnt u ever see the movie Bombay? My Muslim brother was killed in the 84 riots. This is not funny, i am personally affected by this. I feel your story was good but targeting a certain religion is going to put your story as a hate story. Change your language.

Were you asleep during History 101? It is these horrific and TRUE events that have been and will be shapeing the future of the Pakistani people. These events are embedded inside of our thoughts. We cannot let go of them. This was the major turning point for the muslims of the subcontinent. Don`t ask us to forget about it. I always remember this stuff again as soon as I see a Hindu or a Sikh next to me. When asking me the question whether everyone in Pakistan is in a time warp, ask yourself whether all the people of the world who are proud of their histories, in a time warp? But I think this question is beyond you. Try to go back to History 101. And yes Muslims WILL butcher EVERYONE who will butcher them. So No guilt there!

Thanks rahul_capri and Urstruly !
I have read Manto and Krishan Chander. I am more inclined towards the western short story writers. And yes, Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi writes some good short stories in Urdu.
