An Open Letter to Jemima Khan

Ms. Whatever,

The British papers can talk about Jemima because she is rich and she is hot and she is BRITISH.

You are none of the above and on top of that your only function is come to a Pakistani board and to suck up to the Islamic fundamentalists in Pakistan on basis of communalism and religion.

If you hate the British and ``White`` people so much, why bother with writing trash in English? You may as well write it in Arabic or whatever your language is (Gujurati was it?)

Really, if you feel some Pakistani is going to pay attention to you then trashing Jemima and the British is not the way to go (it will work with the Islamic fundamentalist). Try a little less potty talk. Ladies don`t talk about EVERYTHING (its a little too much information, you know) and there is no gratuitous point to it.

If you have a brown skin complex going try a little going in front of the mirror and saying to yourself ``I am pretty and I am worthy of being loved by a Pakistani``. I am certain that will work wonders after a few decades.

Stop attacking some woman who you are not in the same league with by a million miles.

You are attacking Pakistani women by attacking Jemima. We adopted her as our own and we are with her in her decision to dump that feudal lord of a born again fundamentalist Imran Khan. Where do you come in? You come in as an excellent choice of propagandist for Mullah Omar. That is why when you don`t know shite about a country don`t try to cozy up to it on basis of ``Muslaman Musalman Bhai Bhai``. Osama tried it and look where it got him.

well, I would like to ask writer how much interaction she has/had with Jemima Khan
and also it`s Imran Khan`s personal issue, isn`t it?

....... i just got back from pakistan and don`t remember anyone talking about jemima and that old fool, imran khan ........ everyone is too busy plotting to buy and sell plots in the defence societies and lining up at pizza hut at midnight for a slice of the good life ...........

1. This is indeed the version that was published in TFT; since I was not at my computer when I submitted it I in fact copy-pasted it from the site itself.
2. This is not pro or anti Jemima. There are several issues being talked about...if you can find them, great. If not, then it is still a decent read :)
3. Yes, divorces happen. No big deal. Which is why the press should not have bothered...which is why I wrote an open letter and not a pontificating opinion piece.
4. People need not remind me of my nationality. Especially those who claim not to care about such minor issues, who call themselves global citizens and atheists and whatnot...these are the ones most obsessed with such matters. I do hope they have dashed off letters to the Guardian, Speccie, Independent, International Herald tribune, The Sun, Daily Telegraph and who knows how many others remjnding the writers about their nationality. After all, this is a Pakistani issue. And Jemima did everything to fit in. (Just acnnot understand why an Indian cannot comment on whatever s/he wants. And then they say I am looking for Pak approval....what a hoot.)

These people who live in cuckoo land need to truly cast their eyes down and take a good hard look at themselves and their pitiable little...err....excuses, for want of a more polite word.

PS: To the one who made a certain comment, there is no need to go soft on me for the reasons you mentioned. My words are my calling card...all else is part of a package :)

May be you can show it to some English language expert before posting it.

I read your articles many times. I think you have a very beautiful, intelligent mind, and your observations are very minute. I wish i had such good composition.

General Note:
Imran khan is a very honest, and sincere person. His cancer hospital in lahore offer free treatment for poor people. He finished a task that actually help other people, which is great. I think such efforts are far better than writing high thoughts or criticizing others, which does not improve any human conditions. I think we need to talk less, and do more.
Imran`s divorece is his personnal matter, and we need to note that i did not harm anyone.
Long live Imran Khan.
