An Open Letter to Jemima Khan

yaar I hate sialkot, since the time I got stuck at the infamous railway phatak for three hours while in a baraat. The hungry hosts who were waiting for the baraat for the past half a day were not very hospitable any more. I asked a damsel, whom I thought was giving me eye, for a glass of water. Well, she brought me the glass of water and said ``lay pee mar``.

I used to like the painted girls of Islamabad until one day I went for site seeing aka poondi with my friend Lala from Chak 99 gaaf bay of Faisalabad. I noticed that Lala has been quite silent for a while. I asked him about his opinion about the local girls to which he responded in a quite dejecting tone ``Eh! BeemariaN``. I was quite shocked at his reply and asked him for reason for such disdain. He pointed me towards a girl who was coming out of a shop wearing a choori daar payjama and said ``enj lagda eh jewaiN lafafay vich taraaN paiyaaN hondia ne``.

The real beauty is just few miles away from Isl in Rawalpindi. As a matter of fact the whole potohar pleateau is just breath-takingly beautiful - I mean girl wise.

Did Imran Khan attempt the ``talaq-talaq-talaq`` approach to the divorce or did he go to a Domestic Relations court? Does the latter count in Islam? Would he have to follow it with the triple-talaq?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I think it`s a personal matter. Their marriage just didn`t work out. It seems both tried their best but couldn`t get anywhere. I just hope the kids don`t turn out confused about their identity or start hating their father...
I think the children are much more affected in polygamous or divorce situations.

Its the Indians` Fault

You guys have spoilt the living daylights out of women like Farzana and she does not tire of stabbing her own country in the back.

Such disgusting and treacherous behaviour is a crime in Pakistan and we hang people for that (like the ba_tards who are trying to assasinate our President).

Now she is not satisfied with bi_ching about India she must come onto a Pakistani board, wax lyrical about Pakistanis (and we know why she is doing it because our men are hot and she can`t get la_id in India even if she blindfolded the gigolos).

However Ms. Versey`s ``brown-skin`` complex is just a little too psycho for Pakistani tastes. I mean we hear of all kinds of disturbed people from India whining about the British and White people and frankly we don`t give a damn. However some loser in India who converts to Islam from some pathetic street sweeping cult of a sect feels that they can behave dishonorably. Its all the fault of the Spinach eating pansies across the border.

We already have way too many Indian Muslims who want to secede from Pakistan and form their own country. These people seem to never have found out about what it means to be a good citizen. Parcel her over and we will wed her to Altaf Hussain`s boot.

and of course it is a personal matter. . .except that this marriage was between a very public pakistani figure, and an equally controversial british woman. i suppose that solitude will be cheering loudly that a gori will now unhijab herself and wear tight-fitting clothes. but this article is hardly about any of that. divorces happen. . and some of us know that only too painfully well. some of us have seen what it is like for independent women to lose their identities for the one they `love` and then lose the one they `love`. khair, who thinks about that, when afterall, one `divorces happen` and two, `jemima never deserved imran in the first place.`?

when all that is said and done, and the british press has had their heyday and some chowkies have made all sorts of implications from her being a brat to her being a whore, the fact still remains that we don`t know for a certainty what the hell jemima has experienced. blonde power jaye bhaR maiN!

what is wrong with you farzana? why are you angry with her?she tried her best. the existence she had in pakistan didn`t match her london life anyway-as she grew older, she must have realised, not for me. she`ll always be in the news, her money and connections ensure that, she didn`t need to marry imran for that.
women in the west do have more choices, i`m afraid, farzana. no getting around that.

hmmm...well, my expert opinion is that she may have had higher standards and may have been disappointed that it was you, and not some other gabroo javaan with big moustache, who asked her for water. If I were you, I would have asked for another glass, just to make sure.

But then, my expert opinion also says that many times girls in Sialkot use these kinds of words in an endearing way (or at least that is what I would like to think). Having grownup in a house where my mother routinely referred to me with this phrases, i can attest to that. Just for future reference, other endearing phrases are ``golee khaan joga``, ``mur jaan joga``, ``phuRkee joga`` to name a few.

Regarding Pindi`s poondi quality, you have indeed touched upon a point few poonds know.

If you had a little respect for your mother and sister, you would not use such vulgar language against a woman. More than anything else, it shows your own frustration.

I read your articles many times. I think you have a very beautiful, intelligent mind, and your observations are very minute. I wish i had such good composition.

General Note:
Imran khan is a very honest, and sincere person. His cancer hospital in lahore offer free treatment for poor people. He finished a task that actually help other people, which is great. I think such efforts are far better than writing high thoughts or criticizing others, which does not improve any human conditions. I think we need to talk less, and do more.
Imran`s divorece is his personnal matter, and we need to note that i did not harm anyone.
Long live Imran Khan.
