Good over-all effect.

Is it Omar the poet?

``The Archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and he bends you with His might, that His arrows may go swift and far. Let your bending, in the Archer`s hand, be steadfastly true to yourself. For even as He loves the arrow that flies, so too does He love the bow that is strong and stable.``

Or Omar, the astronomer?
about..Autumnal Equinox and false dawn

Or saggittarius , the archer:
Is that ``his`` sign too?

Is ``he`` from the ``third culture`` as well [rings like ``third-world`` to me; poet`s licenteoustness?]

Mushrooms and flotsams.
dandelions, dust-devils
we are, not knowing
So much we`ve gained,
we`ve no time to count.

when is a flower, weed
a cactus, a decor?
an attar, an oil
an essence, a perfume?
a passion, a craze
a fashion, a fad
an employment, work
and idleness, a dream?

Licensed (`` its enshrined!``)
to howl, yelp, snarl
but at appointed hours
in a single file, with decorum
observing traffic-lights
looking askance at cameras.
``Are you looking at us?``

Orchestrating. Hamming it up.
The best realTV show
providing ``breaking-news``
creating jobs for siblings
who never protest.

Once for all
When death & carnage
is everyday normal stuff
the ``breaking-news`` today
is:

You & I,
are alive.

Very deeply expressed.

``But somewhere
in your patches
of inky indigo
lies the explanation
of your points of light`` - especially this part.

this reminds of my very first write, which i never posted. an extract from it

**************************************************************************
Love is lost; all that is left are bitter cold hearts, embedded in space, like the stars, floating in endless void. Beautiful yet so far apart, flattering each other from a distance, admiring each others uncountable colors and flares, yet never to come close, never to touch, never to kiss or feel, making virtual love but in isolation, moving apart ever more slowly. Every now and then they twinkle reminding us they have life left in them, Do they? Perhaps It is just a gasp of desperation and a sense of failure. Perhaps that`s why humans cherish the stars so much, cause it reminds them of how pitiable thier lives are. So much beauty poured into them yet incapable of achieving the simplest of desires, LOVE.
**************************************************************************

yes i know its lame lovey dovey stuff. :boxing:

the insight of a equidistant plane, a plane on which no matter where u move ur always a fixed distance part from where u prolly want to be. or desire to be. its a perfect example of unfreeing freedom. nice insight me likey it

attraction always exists in seperation. without seperation attraction doesn`t mean anything. two things that are NOT apart, don`t feel a need to come closer.

But somewhere
in your patches
of inky indigo
lies the explanation
of your points of light.

this part i liked a lot. :D

Stunning. Look forward to reading more.

``And this is your nature
to draw and to repel
to inspire and to deny
your light--to withhold.
But somewhere
in your patches
of inky indigo
lies the explanation
of your points of light.``

Could the denial be in our own imagination and once the pressure relents, we find ourselves believing?

``The way things work
is that we finally believe
they are there,
common and able
to illustrate themselves.``

- Jorie Graham, The Way Things Work

There in your darkness,
your light is made whole
and the unfeeling is made
to feel.
