A Very thought provoking and insightful poem.

The so called war on Terror by leadership of the United States and it`s allies has sacrified human rights in all its hoopla over secirity. On the sole reason cited ie. , ``secirity`` for it`s legitimacy, the war on terror has resulted in the following Human Rights violations:

* jailing suspects unfairly, stamping on legitimate political and religious dissent, and squeezing asylum-seekers

* unlawful killings of Iraqi civilians; questionable arrest and mistreatment of prisoners in Iraq (news - web sites), Guantanamo Bay and Afghanistan; and opposition to a new global criminal court.

* the `war on terror` has been used as a pretext to legitimize existing practices, such as long-term administrative detention and unfair trials by special courts whose procedures fall far short of international standards

* transfer of people between states without judicial proceedings.

* there has been regressive anti-terror legislation, attacks on refugee protection and restrictions on freedom of association and expression.

*In a United Nations commissioned study, the Arab Human Development Report 2003 finds that the ``war on terrorism`` has actually pushed radical political groups to seek change by violence. The ``war on terrorism`` is actually creating terrorism, not reducing it.

*Critics and opponents of US hegemony have argued that the discourse of the “war against terror” is nothing more than a smokescreen for US Unilateralism, which has in turn totally distorted relations between East and West and contributed to the demonisation of Muslims in particular.

*Ever since September 11 the basic human rights and freedoms of ordinary citizens in the West have been compromised as well. Soon after September 11 the US government introduced the Patriot Act, which really gave the American government enormous powers to invade the private space of ordinary Americans. So now even the most basic rights and liberties have been threatened. The government can penetrate into all areas of public life.

*Further according to a Christian Theologian Professor, Paul Knitter:

``because the war on terror is being carried out so vociferously and ferociously, the gap between the powerful and the weak, the rich and the poor will grow to the point where it will really divide the whole of humanity. The military and economic disparity between North and South, the developed and developing worlds will grow to the point where it will just lead to suffering for the majority of the human race, particularly for the three billion human beings in the world who have to survive on less than two US dollars a day. This would be a disaster of unprecedented proportions, and it will haunt us for generations to come.``

An excellent poem with regards to technicality and usage of words and imagry.
Keep it up.

A good poem. I liked the way you have sewn all the words together.
