Rais khan catches hold of young and cikna laundas like you in order to get over his frustration of being a loser compared to Vilayat Khan. At least the Dagars did not fall to the tempetation of singing Qawalis and Ghazals in order to survive- Rais Khan cuts a very sorry figure with the harmonium in his hands. On the other hand the Dagars had the honesty and strong traditions of not abandoning Dhrupad and taking to harmonium- it is sad that Rais Khan could not learn anything worthwhile from his father and got into the bad habit of laundabazi in the Bombay chawls.
