#1, urstruly;#10, amit:
I did not read the rigmarole article but I believe amit should have responded to urstruly more humorously.
Mind you I am no admirer of urstruly! But we should lose ability to laugh at our follies!!

Re:#15

Yaar, we are just frustrated by these commie bongs who have ruined West Bengal and are hell bent of ruining rest of the nation. Bengal used to be one of the most advanced states in the country. Now it is marginally better than Bihar. The economy is terrible, no infrastructure to speak of, labor trouble just for kicks, no investment by anyone, chronic poverty that shames the entire country, you name it. I don`t understand why these fools don`t copy China instead of North Korea. At least the economy would improve....

Re: #14, #15

Since you have decided that all non-communist bongs, and even non-bongs in West Bengal should be sacrificed to wipe out communists, Kerala should also be nuked for the same reason. And while you are fantasizing about it how about nuking Punjab, if only because of Harkishen Singh Surjeet. And finally nuke the Parliament of India to wipe out 60 communist leaders at one shot.

Re:#14

Harimau, I couldn`t agree with you more. These bongs are a pure menace to India. The Paksitanis were able to get rid of their bongs in 71. We are stuck with these communist fools who are living in another century. I remember this old joke in India`s govt circles - Tamilians always propose ideas on how to get things done, Bengalis always come up with reasons why nothing can get done and Punjabis actually get things done. :-)

[...Why do you feel you can mock and ridicule all traditional forms of religion? I understand that there are people who use religion for their own purposes. Does that mean that all religous leaders are thieves and criminals?..]

Have you noticed how in India the ONLY religion that CAN BE and IS regularly attacked is Hinduism? Have these guys have ONE thing to say about Christianity or Islam?

If Udayakumar aka Karuppannasami says one word against Jesus in his hometown of Nagercoil, he will be beaten to death by the Christian population of that area.

[Foreigners or us: Plan panel`s Leftist experts]

Well, if Manmohan Singh has the ba!!s that Narasimha Rao had, he would have called the Leftists` bluff. Instead, because of his and Montek Ahluwalia`s weak-kneed response, the consultants from McKinsey, the Asian Development Bank, the Boston Consulting Group, etc., resigned from the Planning Commission yesterday.

A nuclear war with Pakistan seems like a more and more attractive option. India could use the opportunity to nuke West Bengal, the breeding ground of Commies.

You should have seen Jayathi Ghosh spouting off on TV yesterday. She said that what Andhra needs to do is to spend more money on farmers (who have been given free electricity by the Congress government) and less on encouraging employment in the high-tech sector. Just what we need... more hewers of wood and drawers of water.

Do you even have an idea on the depths of your double standards? You display extreme hatred towards hindus on chowk, yet you are trying to criticize hindus for hating muslims. If you don`t like communal hatred, why not start by changing your own mindset before lecturing others. It is hypocritical to accuse others of doing something wrong when you yourself indulge whole-heartedly in the same activity.

More ugly racist and xenophobic behavior from left-wing extremists:

Foreigners or us: Plan panel`s Leftist experts

TIMES NEWS NETWORK[ WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2004 05:21:19 AM ]

NEW DELHI: The Left`s crusade against the Planning Commission for ``inducting`` foreign experts into its consultative groups has nearly triggered a revolt within the plan panel. On Tuesday, some prominent economists on the consultative committees threatened to resign if representives of multilaterals were not ousted from these groups.

The threat came a day after Planning Commission deputy chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia, en route to the US with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, ruled out the Left`s demand to drop the representatives of the multilaterals.

Unwilling to give up, the Left on Tuesday decided to get back at Yojna Bhavan. Five Left-leaning economists, inducted to these consultative groups along with those from the World Bank and others, issued an ultimatum to Ahluwalia: it`s either us or them.

We need to understand that fanatics like Udayakumar are as dangerous to India as people like Togadia. The extreme-left and extreme-right are essentially the same: xenophobic, self-righteous and arrogant, always ready-to-say no, with no constructive agenda only emphasis on cheap slogans.

Here are a few questions for the Great Intellectual ``Udayakumar`` and his fellow thugs -Dietrich Fischer, Johan Galtung, Roland Egger, Evelyn Thornton, M. V. Ramana, Sornam Sankarapandi, and M.G. Devasahayam.

1. How shoud India solve its security problems? In particular, what is your suggestion regarding China which has a defence budget 10x India.

2. Why do you feel you can mock and ridicule all traditional forms of religion? I understand that there are people who use religion for their own purposes. Does that mean that all religous leaders are thieves and criminals? What about Gandhi -- was he also a thief and criminal?

Your hero Karl Marx had followers who murdered 100s of millions of people. DOes it therefore follow that every left-wing person is a vicious murderer?

3. How can we make indians in rural areas more involved with the state planning and activities? What rules and regulations need to changed? Are these states that have done a better job than others? Have you made any kind of systematic study of the problem from a constructive point of view?

Needless to say, we are not going to get any constructive solutions. Only hate-mongering and mud-slinging of the type seen here.

Oh, well, just another Commie who doesn`t have the guts to say one word about the atmospheric nuclear tests of his darling People`s Republic of China but is willing to hold down India just so that he could have a livelihood ``protecting the rights of the downtrodden`` and have a free ride to international conferences on the Dalits of India.

Several reactors and a plutonium separation plant have been operating in Trombay since the 1950s and none of this idiot`s dire predictions have come true. We don`t have any increase in cancer or other diseases there. Nor are there scientifically valid epidemiological studies showing increased health risks near any of India`s nuclear power plants. However, that won`t stop the Indian Commies until India is left defenceless in front of China though the same Commies will be crying themselves hoarse if India is suceesfully blackmailed by the US.

By the way, Dr. Udayakumar, I don`t know where you get names like Kaliamma and Kannamma. I think by now women already have names of movie stars such as Jaya Pradha or Khushboo (I should know, our servant maid`s daughter-in-law is named Sharmila! Look at yourself, you yourself have graduated from names like Karuppannasami to Udayakumar).... of course, these are people who are politically naive, your children probably have names like Tamil Mani, Tamil Arasan, Tamil This and Tamil That... so, if you want some semblance of reality in your play, at least change the names to suit the times. Nothing else is real in it.

Must be good, although it doesn`t seem to be very well written.

Just out of curiosity - So, is S.P. Udaykumar really Echooboom?!

``Make us think like Americans, speak like Americans,
Make us feel like Americans and behave like Americans!
Anushakti Amma, skin us and strip us of our originality,
Dignity, and itty-bitty credibility
And make us look like Americans!``

or just a twin? :(
