I strongly condemn this man, its true there are a few like him, but he is not at all representative of the community, he constitutes such a tiny fraction that he is powerless other than in spewing his bile.
you should see the muslims who are abroad, they are always pining for India, and prefer to socialise with their own type, people from their own region, indians then other south asians. they very rarely socialise with muslims from the middle east or south east asia.
but one has to be able to distinguish between love for the land and love for specific organs of the state. they are not blind to what these organs do, and they cant be expected to.
Togadia and Modi are much more powerful than this joker, but I havent seen you ever condemn him on Chowk.

Concerned:
``true, except there is one crucial difference - critics with hindu names are likely to be WORRIED about India`s survival, these people with muslim names seem to DESIRE the worst scenario.``
This is not true, I am sure there are some muslims with bitter experiences who want that, but by far muslims want India to prosper, infact they would like India to form a confederation with bangladesh and pakistan, if possible. Even Jinnah didnot want to break india, the first time some students brought the scheme to his house in London in the early thirties he threw them out saying that they wanted to undo the one good that the brtish had achieved in 200 years. Check out the articles I addressed to stuka, he even accepted the cabinet mission plan.

``hindvi #215 It is refreshing to see the direct and honest manner in which you relate the appalling manner in which these poor people were butchered in India. ``
we are not worthy! (big bow, kurnisat). tahmed, only you have the ability to use refreshing and butchered in one sentence, or find dignity in shitting on the roadside.

Thanks for posting the link to your interacts and to my iLog. Yes, one portion of that journal was re. that piece, but the reference was not to you. I have never seen you tell me, ``there is just too much of Kashmir``, although you may have used the other adjectives. The words were directed at a few people who had conveyed this about my Kashmir stance several times and I was even more amused they were on a board by a Pakistani woman.
Of course, as you said, ``I don`t like to comment on ilogs but to spell it out in clear terms, I will express my opinion when and where I want, even if every Muslim in the world feels victimised by my doing so``... even though the ref. was not to you, it does convey the general feeling I perceive. Therefore I would like to read what you ahve to say. If it is on Chowk, I will see it...if elsewhere, I would appreciate if you posted a link whenever you do so.
Don`t know if every Muslim will feel victimised by what you will writes, but on a lighter note, it is my opinion that roney se dil halkaa hota hai...

The feedback that came in later is appreciated, but you will understand there is nothing right now that I can add.

satsriakal: so you think pakistanis (or pakis, for those like you aping british skinheads of the 1960s) are so evil that they shouldnt talk about human rights. what is a saintly sardar boy like you wasting time on this evil paki website??
(btw, i have relatives who were killed by sikhs, and parents who barely escaped with their lives - but unlike you I have never used that as a pretext to claim all sikhs or all hindus are evil).

hindvi,
I must agree with tahmed32...your responses on this form are very insightful!
RE my last post,
btw. I originally hail from Toronto and am quite familiar with the Crescent, so when I call Zafar and gang a bunch of third rate intellectuals, I know of what I speak ;-)

[Read the following piece from today`s TOI with an open mind, and you will begin to see how little separates liberalism from total paranoia in this country...]
If you have been following the news, in Kerala`s textbooks for the last two years they have left out `Gujarat`` in our National Anthem. I think when the time is appropriate, they will substitute `Italy` for it!
If that spineless idiot Manmohan Singh shows up in Gujarat for any official function, I suggest singing the National Anthem with the following words: ``Khalistan Sindh Bimaru Italy Azad Kashmir Free Nagaland`` instead of ``Punjab Sindh Gujarat Maratta Dravida Utkal Banga``. That ought to teach the old f@rt not to bow down in front of the Commies like he did when he dissolved ALL consultative committees of the Planning Commission in order to get rid of the ``foreign consultants`` from the World Bank, ADB, McKinsey, etc. Consultants from the same organizations have been advising Jyoti Basu`s West Bengal for the last several years in order that West Bengal may attract foreign investment.
PS. The man in charge of text books in Kerala is named Jaleel. No prize for guessing his religion.

[This also may be the first time a featured writer on Chowk has been so openly bigoted, addressing anyone who challenges her as hindus. If you question her, you`re a hindu out to mainstream her and the people that she thinks she represents.]
What happened? Did it take you three years to figure out that kissing butt is not winning you any friends? Or have you taken a leaf out of Doctor Artist Leader the Fund of Compassion`s book and trimmed your sails to suit the winds blowing on this board?

Dear Farzana:
The breadth of issues you have covered in these few words is a compliment to your capabilities. Only questions that comes to my mind is why these shortcomings, if that is how some view, be not accepted as living in a pluralistic society and however defective democracy.
Why not? Why not see this as a strength in the pluralism that India is. Separate but equal was also a sugarcoated phrase for apartheid. I do not think Indians would want that. Why Indian is as adjective? Why is it Indian Hindu, Indian Muslim, etc. and not other way round, so that the common identity is indeed Indian? Why people feel threatened of being swallowed by Hinduism, and not allow to be merged into being Indian which is more important. If the situation was so bad then I would think the demograpghy of India would have been different and more like Pakistan, where the minorities are down to about 3%. Why this fear or fanning of fear, why not instead competing and capitalizing on the opportunities that India presents. It is oxymoron to think military will bring democracy, whether it is Bush trying to do it in Iraq, or a General Musharaf attempting in Pakistan. The differences in India are its strength.
Anil

I presume that on the other hand you believe that litmus tests based on caste and tribal origins foster a sense of cohesion in the country.

Pure BS. The army was in Gujarat by the third day, I remember from contemporaneous reports.
