is this another crude attempt to divide the opposition?

.......ms bhuttu was NOT born yesterday to fall for another Musharruffian trick of divide and rule -- PPP and PML(N) (minus PML Sharia business) -- must sink or swim together -- Benazir and Nawaz must band together to form the new government...

.........and literally tell Musharraf to go fly his Kashmir Kite....

This is perhaps the best written article by the author. His conclusions are precise and rational, provided rationality prevails and things go ahead in orderly fashion under the tight supervision of handlers here in the USA. I have previously heard the buzz of it on the web, perhaps written by the same author.

There are, however, several obstacles on the road to Musharraf-BB duo sharing power in Pakistan: the Chaudhy`s factor is not one of them. The Chaudhrys of Gujrat alwasy though Punjab more than Pakistan as their legitimate playing filed. They can be accomodated within Punjab. They have no choice but to hang on to Musharraf for their own survival for not having any popularity outside their home constituencies in addition to ease with which the corrption cases against them in NAB can be brought alive again.

The real problem with BB-Musharraf duo is that BB can not support exile of Sharifs. As soon as she returns, so will Sharifs. Despite the common feeling of Sharif losing all political clout to QML, the are still in the best position to be the strongest opposition to BB-Musharraf duo. The two cards they hold are unmatched by either of BB or Musharraf; one is excellent administration of Punjab by Shahbaz Sharif and Punjabi card. The Musharraf-BB duo certainly looks anti-Punjabi ganging up. Not that it is a fact but it can be exploited easily and that is what counts. with BB trusting lot more his Sindhi associates and Musharraf filling the highest military ranks with his loyalists, majority from Mohajirs, the ground is fertile for exploitatinf this meaningful or meaningless reality in the major cities of Punjab.

The BB-Musharraf duo is also not acceptable to MQM. They will have to accept reduction to minor player under this duo and probably would prefer to stay out. Unhappy MQM is almost as bad as fundamentalists using agitating means for making their point.

Just some quick thoughts!
