Waah bhaee Waah! Koi Islam ka naam roshan karna to aap se seekhay... waah. so according to your logic if you downgrade Qadianis as NOT being muslims, you become superior in some way?! Good going jawaan! Tumhari wajja se Islam bohat tarraqi karega! Zia ke rishtedaar lagtay ho...?!

Religion disgusts me precisely because it breeds such attitudes-

//Please stop rubbing Dr. A`s alleged religion in our face. I don`t understand why Quadianis are so ashamed of calling themselves quadianis or for that matter Dr. A.

maan na maan meiN tera mehmaan. //

And what about you hurting the sentiments of people who want to call themselves muslims but only because you have a majority in something that you BELIEVE is right, you have the right to tell everyone else that they are not muslims ONLY because you are in a majority?! what about you trying to rub your authority on their faces?! I would love to see you being strangled in a similar way in a country with the majority of some religion which stops you from professing the religion that you want to profess.

Ikkeesween sadee aa gayee hai. Utth jao.

Abdus Salam himself admitted to the fact that the basic idea has been drawn from the conception of wahdatul wujood. Neither a muslim nor an atheist can deny this. He said this clearly in his speeches.

lekin aap ke liye to yeh sab FREE-MASON aur qaadiyani ki saazish hai? hai na?!

allah maaf karay.

Its great to learn that someone from Pakistan got a Noble prize. I truly didn`t know about this guy. It was interesting to learn about him.

I think we should appreciate what he did as an individual and not look at what sect he belonged to (even though I am of belief that Ahmadis aren`t muslims).

P.S Nice comparison!

``It is pretty much the same as Nazis refusing to accept Einstein, the greatest of minds that ever lived, as their own - just because he was jewish. ``

Well said. The comparison is appropriate. But that was nothing to do with Islam or spirituality but about fascism and theocracy that impersonates in the garb of religiousity!!!

Urstruly #3: `` object to the word ``Muslim`` that authoress has used repeatedly refrring to Dr. A. He was not a Muslim.``

I object to the word ``Muslim`` that authoress has used repeatedly refrring to Dr. A. He was not a Muslim. Just as being a Quadiani did not help him in any shape or form to win the Nobel prize, exactly in the same way his discovery of weak electromagnetic forces did not help the cause of our religion Islam. These are two absolutely un-related aspects of Dr. A`s life and works. I would request my Quadiani friends to observe some restraint and practice tolerance. Your arrogance is hurting the religious sentiment of other people. Please stop rubbing Dr. A`s alleged religion in our face. I don`t understand why Quadianis are so ashamed of calling themselves quadianis or for that matter Dr. A.

I will not comment on the rest of the article, but two errors are especially egregious and should be corrected:

1. It`s ``Dirac`` (pronounced ``Dye-rack``) not Derek.

2. The Nobel prize was awarded to Salam, not for the ``Grand Unification Theory``, but for the electroweak theory: a unified description of the electromagnetic and weak interactions.

//....At Cambridge, Salam realized that his overview of the world was fairly limited ..... For the next six months he spent .... reading about Islamic mysticism and philosophy, political and religious history, social sciences and the achievements of Muslim scholars, Sufis and scientists....//

How does one gain a ``overview of the world`` by reading on ``Islamic mysticism`` and ``achievements of Muslim scholars`` ????

This is a desperate attempt by the author to legitimize Mr Salam, an ahmedi, to the dogmatic muslim masses in general and pakis in particular.

Salam has never been accepted in pakistan because he is an Ahemdi and hence he is not considered a ``true muslim`` by pakis at large. In fact , by virtue of being an ahmedi - he is considered worse than kufrs.

In fact - the way pakis have treated Abdus Salam is the most profound example bigotry and stupidity in the history of pakistan. Even though such behaviour from pakis was not entirely out of character - even then it is really astounding the way they have treated Abdus Salam - the only pakistani to ever win a Nobel Prize and undeniably the best of minds pakistan has ever produced.

Such is the level of bigotry towards his community that a person of his calibre was refused acceptance and recognition. Such is the level of ignorance that pakis couldn`t see the plain fact that his faith really don`t matter. His achievements and capabilities are beyond such narrow considerations.

It is pretty much the same as Nazis refusing to accept Einstein, the greatest of minds that ever lived, as their own - just because he was jewish.
