Sharfu Oregano……lolllllz. Amazing piece. With all the stuff that`s happening in Islamabad this future of Khi seems soooo possible. However I don`t understand Qazi “Kodak”…Why Kodak???
President Bush thought that Pakistan needed a `regime change` and bombed the country…Loll
Offence, Lipton bridge, Gulshan-e-liberaal…. you have a knack of making the dullest things seem interesting…so whens the next episode of this Sharfu Oregano coming???

I love this story! Did you pen ``The Strip``? If so, I would love to read for ``Julie``. I`m in Chicago from LA. I can be reached at misseros@earthlink.net

Regards.

JK,
I already am `ravishing, respirating and rocking`.
So it has to be.......................(Rekindled) Romance!
;)

jameel:

promises promises…and miles to go…

…having made so many promises...to myself…without guilt or hesitation… would admit that you are three on the list now…have to first read jawahara’s story and comment, next urstruly’s and then yours…so your turn would come…and then it is snowing outside and am reading kabir’s dohas and thinking of those fascinating times in the subcontinent…bhakti movement…trying to place it in correlation with akbar’s deen e ilahi, and the start of sikkhism and tulsidas…yes…mind’s whirling…so…keep the seat belts fastened…subject to the bundle of muscles still pounding will comment later…

#11: samankhan: Thanks for the appreciation...btw R = Ravishing...Respirating....ROCKING?!

#12: temporal: you should`ve slapped the prevert who tried to mingle with the lady with an oh-i`ll-help-you approach....shouted ` Tell that lunatic to Stop screwing the plane !` at the air hostess after pressing the hawai-khaadma-wali light and told the lady to consult a doctor with her nervous problem. Thanks for taking my writings to such a high point- quite literally. Will await (`the rest`) of your review and guess I`m hooked to this chowk of the internet now.

jameel

this looked interesting and promising…so had this printed…took it out at 31000 feet…and before i could go through the second paragraph the person next to me spilled her clamato juice over my papers…and following that in sit-com fumbling she tried to get up and clean the mess…the person on the other seat joined the melee…in the comedy of errors the plane passed through a bad patch…khair…one word description….ruckus…lots of spillage…wet clothes…to cut short…after the calm was restored the print out was rendered suitably unreadable…am trying to say something here….right…this looks promising…and i promise will read this fully later…meanwhile…welcome to chowk:)

Well, JK, you are certainly rolling.........:)
Now that you have explained it to me, I think I know what you mean by `RR`.
Happens most of the time to most of us, so fret not.
And hey! that was a genuine appreciation. So keep rolling!
Regards...
SK (In search of the R)

#4 Snail: Thanks for liking the ending. I too got bored in the mid but i guess it had to go dull somewhere...will work on it next time.

#6 Rozaiba: This appreciation of yours is also working wonders. Merci!

#7 Raw_Dust: Oh that! Didnt know a certain Jack Rabbit had anything to do with it. Any suggestions for next time?

#8 samankhan: to me, reomrseful reconstruction is that time of the month when I sit down and reflect on the many times I have glorified substandard work which is both mine and of the people i`ve written about in my various columns that get published. At times I try to shake off the feeling thinking that maybe I am not that submerged in the masses but the fact of the matter is that I am simply not accepting the fact that I have a poor choice of subjects when it comes to writing. All of this confusion and self-deceit sums up to a fit of remorseful reconstruction where I vent out my -ve energy. This time, i chose to vent it out on chowk, thinking that people like you might read it and feel the senselessness for of too many things at one time.
And why do i glorify substandard work? well, I do it for money! Merci!
P.S.: I`m still confused about whether to thank you for wishing me what you wished me or not :S
#9 HN: Thanks!

Salamz,
JK (Rolling?)

Sharfu, I mean, JK, obviously not Rowling, may you go through many more `fits of remorseful self reconstruction`, whatever that means!

Catchy stuff but seems to lose out in the mid but love the ending. Good effort.

#1: Rahul_ Capri: Thanks for the appreciation . I dont beleive i am that `messed up` yet but I do beleive the `Jameel` (arabic= beautiful) in my name is such an oxy-moron!

#2: twintopaz: duper! thanks

#3: Raw_dust: Thanks for understanding the base-line! You really have put it in the right words although comparing it with a cubist painting is a tad bit `holistic`, if you will.

`i wish you would have left Jack-Rabbit-Slim`s foxy winner without a specific mention .. the scene almost instantly evoked a direct reference to her... `

>who/what is Jack-rabbit-slim`s foxy winner?

And yes, this is the outline, I do plan on unfolding the complete scenario in parts. I gues sit would be like watching a flinstones/jetsons serial: every-new episode tells one new thing about the past/future. However, this would have to wait as I am currently tied up with a few assignments on hand.

Salamz,
JK (not Rowling)

A cubist painting came to my mind.. so many realities all fractured all craving for the same space, incompatible and out of synch...
brilliantly executed! i wish you would have left Jack-Rabbit-Slim`s foxy winner without a specific mention .. the scene almost instantly evoked a direct reference to her...

btw.. i think this is just a bare outline. there is way too much going on here... That bridge for instance (whether you were referring to clifton bridge or drigh. road one)... down where it consumes all the liberal piss amidst late night drunken shenanigans... sorry.. i dunno what i wanted to say...about the bridge... but it is a hideous metaphor at the very least... and can take a life of its own.. like a chapter in a book detailing characters who are shameless and absurd.. merry and beyond any pretense.. all under that bridge - seeped in broken down alcohol...

keep writing and all the best!
