let`s face it -- Godhra is a blot on the forehead of Hindu community that is hard to wipe out -- as much as -- Jihadi Murderism is on the peshani of Muslim community....
the redeeming facotr for the Hindus is that the Hindus -- BY THEMSELVES -- can redeem themselves -- by the Justice Banerjee report -- the Muslims can`t.....

what the Justice Banerjee report calls for is -- that the one and the only baastard -- responsible for deliberate and planned torching of living men women and children -- in one of the worlds goriest carnages that topped even the Nazi ovens -- in Cruelty with a capital C -- that Mass Murderer Modi -- should be hanged by the nearest lamp post -- with all due processes of Indian Criminal Law.....and with all the pomp and the ceremony befitting a Chief Minister of a Guj Rat state....

For the last three years, we have been hearing one theory after another as to what happened at Godhra and then who actually led the charge at other parts of Gujarat. RSS/BJP have been on the forefront of splashing several theories about godhra incidence and some are so wild that they can be easily classified as “conspiracy theories”. These conspiracy theories have been used to justify resultant RSS/BJP onslaught on innocent people in Gujarat. Some RSS/BJP propaganda also suggested that the ISI was the mastermind of Godhra incidence. In the galore of conspiracy theories espoused and aggressively sponsored by the RSS/BJP, FV is rhetorically asking if there is room for another conspiracy theory.
It is clear from the context that FV is being rhetorical. “These sevaks were shouting religious slogans and were obviously motivated. Has the possibility of them being a suicide squad not occurred to anyone? Could they not have been terrorists out to create trouble?”
The preamble clearly sets up the rhetorical question that FV raises. Read the first line of the article. “It could still be a terrorist act. The conspiracy angle may still apply.”
Why people here are refusing to acknowledge the context is obvious. They don’t wish to question the Bannerjee report on its finding. The RSS from the RSS/BJP dismissed the report as partisan, Laloo being the Railway minister in their opinion is enough to discard the whole report without even arguing the findings on merit.. Yes, Laloo is from the opposing group but what about Justice BannerJee’s credentials. Is he also a partisan heck?
In matters like the Gujarat carnage, even the Nanavati committee will have to find some grounds where they can pacify both groups. If the Nanavati committee accuses the Muslims, it will right away lose credentials in Muslims groups and if the committee fixes the responsibility for Gujarat on the RSS/BJP and CM Modi and his government, the report would not find favor with Hindus. The best course in situations like this is to release reports from the concerned department in this case Railway, and put off the other report indefinitely.
Nanavati report may never see the light of the day. Now people have to look at the Bannerjee report and argue their points whether the Justice made correct assumptions and whether his facts were right.
Dismissing a report citing Bihar Hindu-Muslims situation and politic rivalry is not enough. This is only government-sponsored report that has come out and all RSS/BJP followers’ need to show it to the world that they acted impulsively to an accident and reduced thousands of people including Women and Children to charred replica of their former human bodies.

As usual, FV is spot on. The karsevaks were on a suicide mission and they did commit suicide in Godhara when they burnt the train they were travelling in. VHP had been pushing for mass suicides since long you see.
That the railway minister consituted and got a report just before elections in bihar is a testimony of his secular credentials. Victory to Lalu is going to be ultimate reinforcement of secularism in our country, law and order be damned. After all, the people of bihar need a heave dose of secualrism for their well being; they can migrate to Veersh`s delhi or FV`s mumbai for getting jobs.

What a relief!
You have really done an invaluable service to those who do not have, nor any desire for a 4.0 grade point average.
This , as I learned from the site, was in a science magazine. It falls in the domain of a Hoodbhoy or our own free-thinker Mr. Gill. Science , you see, is the panacea of all ills.
What I infer is that the monkeys are kind of averse to social engineering and they do not have careers. They are , though still in captivity, are footloose and fancy free. They do not, it seems, have any westicoxicated feminists either.
This Fareed, known as pheeda in grammar school, but then became Fareed and when he went to US , developed `accent` (gora accent) and answered to Dr. Freud only, was eventually Dr. Fraud.
Once he too was assigned to monkey-watch reasearch. He put a monkey in a closed room for several days in a room adjacent to his lab. After a week he peered through the peep-hole to check what the monkey was upto.
Dr. Fraud was aghast!
On the other side of the peep hole the monkey was observing Dr. Fraud!

For the record, that article is dated after Akshardham, & thus after Godhra....but I see your point : he`s a funny fringe, that Bal Thackrey, unable to wrest power in Maharashtra for around a decade...he does not even command undivided loyalty for his designated heir & successor within the Shiv Sena, let alone possess powers to generate a suicide squad - expect him to say such things...this is why I had said in #13 below,
``....& thankfully, despite the most ardent wishes of the chaddi-walas in RSS/VHP; Indian Hindus dont committ Suicide attacks...Alas, 72 virgins await none of us in heaven!`` ... I should have added Shiv Sena to the above list too along with RSS/VHP!
But one thing must be noted....it would seem that Muslims can just do no wrong, really....`WTC was blown up by Mossad`; `Godhra train was torched by Hindu suicide squads`....what a mass Self-Delusion!

please consider the following as the inspiration for your next piece.. should be definitely better than this one
Would you pay to see a monkey`s backside? I hope not. Monkeys will, and I guess that`s okay, though it sounds awfully close to the sort of thing that lands guys in jail here in the human realm. A new study found that male monkeys will give up their juice rewards in order to ogle pictures of female monkey`s bottoms. The way the experiment was set up, the act is akin to paying for the images, the researchers say.
The rhesus macaque monkeys also splurged on photos of top-dog counterparts, the high-ranking primates. Maybe that`s like you or me buying People magazine. The research, which will be detailed in the March issue of Current Biology, gets more interesting.
The scientists actually had to pay these guys, in the form of extra juice, to get them to look at images of lower-ranking monkeys.
Curiously, the monkeys in the test hadn`t had any direct physical contact with the monkeys in the photos, so they didn`t have personal experience with who was hot and who was not.

HINDU SUICIDE SQUADS IN THE MAKING
http://www.indianexpress.com/full_story.php?content_id=11420
Indian Express
MUMBAI, OCTOBER 15: Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray today used the platform of his annual Dussehra rally speech to sharpen his Hindutva rhetoric and criticise the Centre’s policies on de-escalation and disinvestment.
In a shrill speech, spelt out earlier in the party mouthpiece Samna, Thackeray urged Sainiks to be ready to die for the ‘Hindu rashtra’. ‘‘Terrorists should be born amongst you too, but they must be suicide squads, ready to die for the cause of making this a Hindu rashtra. Otherwise it will be a lost cause. Tomorrow, if you have to take the Muslims head on, I know my Sainiks will not lag behind,’’ said Thackeray, addressing the party’s annual Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park.
Lashing out at Vajpayee, the Sena leader stated that he thought the Prime Minister would wake up after the Akshardham incident but to the utter surprise of the nation, he continued to be in deep slumber. ‘‘This is not the time for statements. Do we have a Prime Minister who can issue an ultimatum?’’ he said.
Thackeray also reiterated his criticism of the disinvestment process, saying, ‘‘We will not allow you to sell this nation through the disinvestment policy.’’ Those acquiring public sector entities via disinvestment should be banned from selling it for at least 10 years, he said.
A selective section of US evangelist Jerry Falwell’s anti-Muslim remarks was also read out to the gathering. Later, Thackeray questioned the validity of the Solapur bandh call given by some Muslim organisations.
‘‘They called a bandh because a Pakistani flag was burnt in Solapur. If they feel so much about Pakistan, they should leave this country and go to Pakistan. Look at a woman kicking out Hindus from Bangladesh back to this country. Yet the Centre cannot do anything. The Bangladeshi Muslims should be kicked out of this country. If a woman can do it in Bangladesh, why cannot the men do it here?’’ he said.
Criticising Falwell’s apology, the Sena chief joked that he should become a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party ‘‘which is known for issuing corrigendums the very next day.’’
Farooq Abdullah and Congress president Sonia Gandhi too came in for attack. Hailing the defeat of the Abdullahs, Thackeray said the people of Kashmir had done a great service to the nation. He said that Abdullah had come to regard Kashmir as his own personal property. Thackeray had words of praise for one BJP leader though: ‘‘Narendra Modi should not go. He is the true custodian of the rights of the Hindus.’’
He ordered the Sainiks to pick up a pinch of Shivaji Park soil (likening it to an ember), take it home and watch it become a raging fire. ‘‘This is a Hindu rashtra and the onus of safeguarding the rights of the Hindus falls on Maharashtrians, who should rise to the occasion. Take that ember with you and be ready to die for a cause,’’ he said.
Reacting to the silence and the scattered applause from the audience, Thackeray commented that they were spellbound by his speech. ‘‘We are lucky to have such a rapt audience, even Sonia Gandhi cannot command such an audience.’’

Dear Hamidm2,
In India, the President (Kalam) is a Muslim, the PM (Manmohan) is Sikh, & the Power-Behid-the-Throne (Sonia) is a Catholic! This, in a country where 82% of the citizens are Hindu....that can ONLY happen in a Secular Democracy! What more proof do you want?
...& this can only happen, UNIQUELY; where the majority 82% of the population is HINDU: That Hindu majority, a very vast constituent within which is Moderate & Secular (they must be, they voted this govt. to power, remember!)... is the Best Protection for the rights of the minorities....I mean can you expect a Black, or non-Christian President in the US (or any European country, for that matter)...can you imagine even a non-Muslim President in Turkey, that model of `Muslim Secularism` (if there be such a thing!)?
Much to the chagrim of her detractors, India IS a Secular Democracy BECAUSE OF, rather than despite; her Hindu majority....& a Secular Democracy does not imply a lack of discord...just as a fundamentalist, ethnically-cleansed state does not guarantee peace....Why, else where too there are bearded bugtis setting fire to vital gas pipelines in response to gang-rape of lady dostors by their own security forces...all of them co-religionists!
PS to all: I dont hear any mention of Zahira Sheikh any longer...remember that Heroine for the Pseudo-Secularists, she of the Best Bakery Defame?

.......... and i thought india was a secular democracy where everyone lived in peace and harmony, went out and voted every five years and so and spent the rest of the time sipping wine and eating cheese in a geneva like setting ........... what`s with all this talk of burning trains and half naked faqirs with big forks running around setting people on fire ? ......... this is not the india that vereesh keeps on telling us about - a land of milk and honey with a chemist shop on every corner .............
p.s. where the heck is godhra and when did all this happen ?

This is nicely written. Angry women make much more sense. The whole idea of hindu suicide squads is somewhat more scary than muslim ones. Maybe it`s all about preceptions.

Once again, the mind-benders on behalf of their religion try to triumph over reality.
Kill women, hey, that`s OK by our archaic laws, besides, what sort of rights do women have anyway?
Kill your own co-religionists, hey, that`s none of anybody else`s business. Bangladesh, India, Sudan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia . . .
Kill people from other religions, hey, that`s justifiable according to our book, our teachings justify this.
Perception beats fact. Mobs overtake definable sequence.
Farzana has a point in this article, but it gets lost in Hindu-versus-Muslim simplistic rhetoric. The point is simple - religion kills, regardless.
