(We need to tell the US State Department in unequivocal terms that we are their strategic partner against terrorism and nuclear non-proliferation because it is also our own fight but we are not their second grade stooges to follow their whims blindly.)

ideally speaking this is how it should be, but I am not very sure Pakistan is in a position to do that. Our own house needs to be first put in order before we can become meaningful role players. Our geographical location gives us importance, but as a nation, we mean very little to USA or anyone else. To be able to bring some semblance of balance in our partnership with the major power (USA) and main regional role players we need to be important as a nation and not merely our geographical location.

We only need to be on the right path, doing things rightly. Whethe other give us any importance or not, whether we suffere in upholding the truth or not, whether in doing so we are able to benefit economically or not, this all becomes immeterial when you are satisfied that truth is upheld. We must do everything possible within our means so that a Fitna is avoided, peace and security, respect and understanding is brought to human civilisation so that the words of God have some chance to reach to human ears. We are a pacifist nation (Ummah) becasue Islam is pacifist. We don`t have any concept of ``war.`` We cannot be aggressor. We are only allowed to defend ourself when an aggressor takes advante of our pacificism and even in this we are not rpt not allowed to be vengeful and unthinking. Let me be specific. All hostile talks and acts in the name of Islam are diabolical and are the work of Satan. I pray we are able to uphold the prestine glory of Islam through love and selfsacrifice. We must uphold the slogan ``Islam is Peace``. We need to be bold and forthcoming on the question of Iran. In my view, through its just policies and peaceful overturs to neighbouring countries and to the world at large, Iran has become symbol of Islamic polity, therefore, any Satanic plan to eliminate this icon should be countered properly. mr. javed has written a good descriptive article bit is based more on an idealistic hopeful imagination rather than one which isrealistic, and based on on-the -ground-situation. You have expressed some good thoughts sir, but the muslim ummah is too divided in itself to form any sort of resistence to any foreign occupation. Iran remains the only muslim country which openly resists and US dictation and i am hopeful they continue thier struggle and obtain the nuclear weapons if they want to.

Yes we need to unite and bring forth the real prestine teachings of Islam and translate them into our lives. And we cannot do that unless we have got rid of bigotted mullah among us.
In human history no foreign occupation force has ever succeeded for long. There are trying times for every nations, so now it is for Ummah. It will not last long. In the Quran God has promissed that in His plan it is we who will finally bring peace, security and stabilityto the world by being its leaders. We are destined to rule. We, however, can only rule with love, self sacrifice, accommodation and sincerity of purpose to serve humanity because according to Imam Ali (AS) a country can be ruled by a non-Muslim but tyranny cannot endure.

However, in the case of Iran, it will be suicidal for any government in Pakistan to fight for Israel on behalf of the US.


Let`s see...how will it be any different from the PAF bombing paki citizens in the tribal areas on instructions(and co-ordinates) from America...

mmkay...if you were in a position to say anything in ``unequivocal terms``, you`d have had Kashmir, F-16`s, FTA`s and other things in the Paki wish list...

Here`s the deal....If Uncle Sam tells mushy to do something, he`ll do it to keep his crown...it`s not like he`s going to ask the people of Pakistan what they care...

1-Hezbullah is not a terrorist organisation. It does not violate human sanctity. It has open fight against Israel. It is defending its country against Israel`s hegemonic designs. It is not involved in any calandestine killing in other countries as CIA has always been involved. It defies openely America`s designes and insulting policies towards Muslim Ummah and this makes it a terrorist organisation. State Department and Pentagon do not have any clear idea what should constitute terrorism because at times they themselves compromise with their own definition of human values.
2- Yes `SD is full of peaceniks and lefties` under the influence of Israeli lobby.
3- Islamic societies may be poor and underdeveloped, however, they are rich in spirituality, understanding and are alive to their responsibilities to humanity. Pl ignore an acute violent, bigotted and semiliterate minority among Muslims who will be taken care of with the passage of time because `truth` cannot be obliterated by falsehood. Islamic vivilisation is a peaceful, futuristic, kind and growing phenomina. No body should be afraid of it. We also are concerned about the practices of semiliterate mullah among us, however, they are not the product of Islam they are the offshoots of diabolical plan being imposed upon the whole world.
4- America should not take it as a challenge to show off to the world that it can attack countries like Iran with immunity rather it should acceede to common sense and respect human life.

6- It has been already explained in the article that fallouts of US attack will have terrible repurcussions in the region along with Pakistan. I have to be brief.
7- Yes we must speak out in unequvocal terms. Truth does not only lie in State Departmen and Pentagon or for that matter in Israel. There are implications for doing this. We can remain poor, underdeveloped and malnourished but we will not die a shameful death. Living high ideals and principles costs dearly yet the experience is worth having. Must must bring peace, stability and wisdom to human society winning people over to the words of God with love and kindness.
8- The US might be working on aerial strike option because it cannot land in Iran. Any initiation of war will involve Israel in the broil. With Hezbullah and Syria at its border
Israel will certainly involve them in the fight to level old scores. Eventually the loss to human life in that unwinable war will multiply. And you don`t believe that only Muslims will remain at the receiving end of all the brunt.
