Hamidm2, I`m not sure about the source of your plagiarism if it`s not from Daniel Pipe`s ilk which often uses the same template to push their zionistic agenda.

For example:

the American Born/Bred Confused Desi (ABCD) ghetto ......

............... i have always maintained that as long as United States of Absolute (USA) confusion continues to exist in its present form with its unbridled human exploitation via corrupt capitalistic ideals and everything goes ... to hell ``way of life``, humanity all over the world is going to stay mired in misery, confusion, fanaticism, obscurantism and superstition ......... the aforementioned USA with its ample natural resources and guardianship of the UNO and World Bank amongst a plethora of globally (sans Germany, France, Russia, China, and N. Korea to some extent) influential socio-economic and geopolitical outfits continues to wreack havoc on the psyche of people like hamidm2 and the author of this silly article as well as some tight-jeans clad ladies with Jello (or is it J Lo?) bottoms and Madonna silly-coned Bosoms I`ve come to know in the last few days...........every single one of the people i know who have done some time in aforementioned USA with their families return to pakistan with this strange world view that they then try to impose on everyone else in their skin-tight clothing stuffed with either socks or tissues in the thongs or miracle bras, respective of stuffer`s gender........... this does not apply to the [adherents of Quran and Sunnah] who go there [for sceintific education and/or employment] and survive without paying any interest to, let alone collecting from, the legitimized local and international loan sharks, commonly known as banks and financial institutions whilst making remittances to their families throughout Pakistan............ it is the ``ABCD`` class which adopts the neoconservative delusion of secularism and ``freedom`` (sans freedom of expression for adherents of Quran & Sunnah) mentality of the USA after living in luxury condoms ... sorry, condos (Freudian slip of the fingers, you see) and impounds known as suburban secured neighborhood with ``neighborhood watch`` which comes back even after have been bitten in the bum by the mascot dog in gestapo trench-coat, basically to prevent employment seeking people from lower socio-economic and racial castes .... oops again, that`s for India... ahem ... class) for a couple of years .......... this nonsense must end, and it will as soon as Allah wills!

....... the solution: allow aforementioned USA to implode in its own rapidly corroding social, judicial, political and economic systems which: wantonly exploit young women by allowing them to dance nude for paying and preying `men` under the pretext of feminine empowerment whilst apprehending Mormon polygamists with chickensh*t charges of tax evasion by the IRS (Indecently Regurgitating Sods); screw the young and old of both genders without any discrimination towards race, religion, and heritage, just as long as they hold a job, to become life-long voluntary slaves in exchange of disposable cars, homes, appliances, furniture, and so forth that predominantly belong to the fat Jewish lads and ladies of the economically empowered top 5% of American population; grants the right to bear children out of wedlock in any age or marital status and kill them before they pop out, lest God forbid, the actual culprits of its conception may have a cramped lifestyle if made to care for it until it learned to walk, `cause then drowning it in the lake with seatbelts on or locking up in the closet to kill it to please the boy friend or purchase battery operated prosthetic male sexual organs; allows the right to bear arm for effective robberies and ultimate fun for the homicidal pre teen boys and teenage girls under the pretext of self-defence against unarmed defenseless law-abiding citizens and often against self; promotes annihilation of wildlife, which in turn erodes its eco system through deforesting (not synonymous to defrosting) and pollution of air and water, particularly south of the border; eventually allowing the establishment of a fancy nut house for the indigenous and outhouse for the robbed, exploited, and disenfranchised of the world......... too radical?....... okay, how about installing Dick[ed] Chaney as president with Wolfo-dim-witz as his sinful and/or a gripping tool vice president, Pearle as Sec. of State, with Sharon in charge of Pentagon, and D. Feith as the First Pig. These buggers will surround themselves with their mother`s, sister`s, and wive`s sins; who will, in turn, do the same until the ``vote empowered`` fascistly secularized populace either commits suicide by drowning in their own excretions, as the oceans and rivers would be too polluted for that, or... hmmm... there would be no alternative for them, would there? I mean let them swallow their own prescription as they have been shoving it down the third world throat (particularly Muslim) world since the dawn of industrialization and discovery of vast reserves of oil in the Middle East and Central Asia through the likes of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan who authored a blasphemous exegesis of the Quran in which he trivilizes everything that the contemporary scientists were unable to explain.

That oughta loosen your constipation!

I hope it was just as good for you as it was for you! (take it the way you please, for enjoyment is the objective, and don`t post stupid questions if it whizzes past your already strained brain)

ntsyed,

......... you should get in touch with echoboom - you guys can have one heck of a party !............ but, you must admit, i did hit the spot with my observation of the conundrum of the middle-aged pakistani professional who has been exposed to the saudi disease ....... it gets worse the longer you stay in the kingdom - some end up blowing themselves up .... so be careful

best wishes ..........

sister ZahraJ,

please don`t be this much rude. for this world to go on, it must have the forces of good and evil alive. don`t make the other force be disappointed. who knows our prophet might have got disappointed if he wouldn`t have got his due social status and all that plunder at the right time. i heard that he sometimes talked about dropping himself from a high cliff to commit suitside (nausubillah, astaghfirullah).

brother ntsyed, please do not mind this sister`s rumbling, she doesn`t know what is good for her. let her turn something like 60+ and she will better know the worth of burqa. she might ask you then to get her one.

ksa is indeed an unlimitted supply of fundamentalism to the other corners of the world. another good option would be to prepare more rushdies, ibne-warraqs, arshad manjis etc. so that at least the the growing or the indifferent muslim lot has some food for thought to excersize their freewill (which they think doesn`t exist in the matters of deen). i know it is not possible right now as nobody wants a sword to hang on their head but when significant number of people will stop to be blind, the attitudes will surely change. after all, communism was very much viable to be apostasy but it didn`t get that treatement. internal reform must begin.

Re: # 114

First of all, at least learn to express yourself in English. It seems that you are writing in Man-glish. The cheapster deserved my wrath. He is using the same card that many muslim men love to play - commonly known as the syed card. I cannot stand such despicable fellows. I hope you will consult hamidm for the basics of English and not Man-glish. At least, it will keep your ego intact.

Thanks

PERSONAL POLITICAL

Warped logic

By Beena Sarwar

``The beating wasn`t as painful as the humiliation of being unclothed in front of the neighbours,`` says Mariam*, 23. A few days ago, her husband Yaqub*, a rickshaw driver, stripped her and beat her with a rubber pipe in the courtyard of their home in a congested neighbourhood. Her screams attracted the neighbours who managed to get Yaqub to stop his merciless thrashing.

During that slow, painful night Mariam, a trained nurse, resolved to leave this man, her cousin to whom she had been married to for almost ten years, who routinely took all her earnings, and just as routinely thrashed her up. In the morning, she went to work as usual -- but taking along their children, two boys and two girls, aged between two and eight -- to the home where she has been a day-nurse for the past year, caring for Salma Zaman, the well-known retired college principal.

Seeing her condition and the children in tow, Mrs Zaman`s daughter Seema asked her what happened. Mariam burst into tears and told them, vowing she would not go back.

Meanwhile, Yaqub turned up at the house and demanded to see her. When he was told she couldn`t come out as she was on duty, he stormed in. The principal`s son-in-law tried to make him leave but he resisted. ``So I thrashed him,`` says Seema`s husband, JJ. ``How dare he barge into my house?``

Yaqub then went to the nearest police station and tried to file a report against JJ for assault and detaining his wife, but the police knew Mrs Zaman`s family and phoned them. ``I`ll have him arrested for forced entry and attempted theft,`` threatened JJ.

However, by evening, Mariam was in a dilemma, trapped by Yaqub lurking outside. She was also worried about her younger brother, whom the police at another station had detained.

Instead of providing the battered woman and her children an escort to a place of safety, the police were pressurising Mariam to come and meet Yaqub as a condition for her brother`s release.

It took a phone call to the police station from a senior crime reporter to get Mariam`s brother released, and arrange for the police to escort her to her mother`s house.

The next morning, the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee arranged for Mariam`s statement to be recorded at a police station (where Yaqub fell at her feet begging for forgiveness), and escorted her and her brother to pick up some belongings from her house -- where Yaqub threatened to kill himself with a knife if she didn`t return. The presence of her brother and the CPLC staff gave Mariam the courage to walk away, without her 6-year old son who wouldn`t leave his father. She is now living at her mother`s house with the other three children.

Yaqub has been calling her up and pleading for her to return. ``I`ve been forgiving him for ten years, and I`ve had enough,`` says Mariam, a matriculate; Yaqub is completely unlettered.

Why did she marry him? ``My father arranged it,`` she says, a common enough story of family pressure and fear of family honour being sullied.

``He began beating me the day after we were married. He`s very shakki -- suspicious-minded, even about my own brothers. When I went home the day after our wedding night, my little brother, then 14, wanted to stay with me at night because he was missing me. My husband flew into a rage and beat me up. I told my family that I wouldn`t go back to him, but my father folded his hands before me and begged me, saying what will people think, and that we had to consider the family izzat, honour.``

And so Mariam, like so many others, went back. But that last beating was also the last straw. She wants a divorce and her mother and brothers support her (her father passed away some years ago). She says she has tried everything to salvage the marriage, even taking the case to mohallah committees and panchayats, but he didn`t stop his abusiveness. ``He even accused his own brother of being up to something with me. We were sitting on a charpai, talking, and my brother-in-law went to have a bath. My husband thrashed up, saying that we must have been doing something and that`s why his brother had gone for a bath. I stopped talking to people, even male relatives. His own brother hasn`t spoken to him in ten years.``

Mariam suffered all this time because of the warped logic that prevails in our part of the world, according to which family honour is sullied when a wife leaves her abusive husband, but not when she is being beaten to a pulp by that husband. This is the sick reasoning that led to young Saima Sarwar`s own parents getting her shot dead in the office of her attorney, Hina Jillani, some years back. It is this mindset that condemned Zainab Noor to carry a colostomy bag for the rest of her life because of internal injuries caused by her husband who had been abusing her for years -- her family knew about the beatings, but until that last torture session which almost took her life, urged her to stay on.

This is also the conditioning of our police, who would rather force a woman back to her abusive family rather than provide her with safety and justice. And it is also this mindset that prevents the government from passing a strong law on `honour killings` and domestic violence in Pakistan and enforcing it, for all its lip service about women`s rights.

temporal mian,

.......... i know where you are coming from - compared to the real problems women face in pakistan and elsewhere, our fashion issues are quite trivial ......... unfortunately, this sort of thing happens all the time and only once in a while does it make the press ........ and lately the problem has been aggravated by rampant heroin addiction combined with soaring unemployment - the women continue to suffer ......... i don`t know the answer but it is heart breaking .....

.......... as for my dear abby question, this is the first time i have seen this and i am hoping it doesn`t set a trend - i kind of enjoy going to weddings ...........

dear ntsyed sahib,

.......... this is a serious question ...... i had mentioned earlier about this invitation that we received to a wedding which instructs/requests the guests to wear proper islamic dress including hijab ........... now, we have known this family for a long time, long before they discovered islam in saudi arabia where they lived for four years before returning to the usa ........... actually, we have some family pictures that show the lady of the house in tight jeans and other revealing western dresses which she used to wear when she was fifteen years younger and fifty pounds lighter ........ mrs hamidm says that the woman is a hypocrite and a fat cow (her words, not mine) and refuses to go out and shop for a hijab or mess up her hair in order to accomodate her friend ........... personally i don`t have any problem even though i think it is kind of cheap and mean of muslims to have a wedding without an open bar - but i am all for going to the wedding because i know the food will be good and since the wedding is in a hotel i can always sneak off to the bar (you would be surprised how many good practicing muslims you can find there !) ............

.......... but really, what should we do ?.......... is mrs hamidm wrong in refusing to look like a ``frumpy islamic nun`` in public (her words) ? ....... we are on the hump of a dilemma because we have known these people for a long time and don`t want to hurt their feelings ......... what should we do?

ntsyed sahib,

.......... please don`t give up in your effort to show us the right path ............ you are following in the footsteps of our beloved prophet (pbuh) who was abused and cursed by this old woman until, one day, she realized the folly of her ways and submitted to the will of allah ......subhanallah !......... inshallah, sister zahraj too will see that this path she is on leads to nowhere ......... jazak allah khair

Apropos, your soft profanity oficially declares the anticipated bankruptcy of your deluded secular arguments due to arrogantly condescending attitude burnt into the psyche of your ilk.

Thank you for your implied submission against the Quran & Sunnah.

Allah o Akber - a direct challenge for anyone who denies or distorts His Word for petty personal gains and conveniences to assimilate into the perpetually degenerating disbelieving culture.

Succinct enough? I hope so for your sake... to avert your embarrassing inability to counter 1400 year old arguments in spite of presumably elightening western rearing (please don`t mistake it for rear end due to uncontrollable rage).

Let me know if it takes you longer to understand the preceding responses than going through the detailed ones previously.

On the other hand, shedding the tight clothing for relaxed ones may help restore the inexplicable severed blood flow to the brain processing cells, its RAM and ROM.

I know you`ll be back... as T4!

Ma`asalaam (in spite of your deluded ideals)

Hamidm:

Your examples are quite naive since it is already been decided that there is nothing of caliber in the men of today. They are full of jargon. I am fortunate to reach that conclusion way back. So, no surprises for me. I am sure it may have been a surprise for you if you have not seen a mirror in a while. By the way, only naive fools believe in the concept of soul mates. That may be an offensive revelation. My apologies to those who found themselves in the ``naive/fools`` category. The practical ones do not fall into these ditches :)
