...........and the sad part is that the real gandoos have no say in this matter..
Haaaa Haaa Haaa!
Truer words were seldom spoken here.
Oh you will get your wish, the way your maee-baap are bent upon removing the stigma.

Great observation Hamidm Sahib, Bravo!
Looking back, when I was 15 and attending First year at Govt FC College, Lahore; I remember something, many guys especially Masters or 4th year students would invite me to their Hostel rooms to hang out. I was so naive at that time, I had absolutely no idea, but I used to have a good friend who strictly forbade me to go to the Hostels. I am glad he did!

urstruly,
``Homosexuality is not a genetic disorder, it is a choice`` ............ it is very easy to say that, and a lot of people do ........... but do you know - really know - a homosexual ?
........we grew up with a cousin who everyone thought was ``different`` even when he was five years old ....... he had seven broters and sisters, younger and older, and all of then were straight, jazak allah khair, but he was different ......... same parents, same schools, same food, same maulvi sahib , but yet ...........
.......... just because you think something doesn`t exist doesn`t make it go away .............and maybe i am right and one of of ten paki men has had a homosexual encounter and that is why we are so paranoid about it ..........

Re: # 41
I agree. Homosexuality is not a genetic or any other kind of disorder.
Hamidm, Considering the Homosocial Pakistani society, I would say atleast 4-6 in Pakistani men has had some homosexual behavior. Human sexuality is complex, and it expresses its self in a multitude of ways. I dont know about women, but men are obsessed with sex. It only makes sense, it is the biological imperative hardwired into our genes.
Even our closest primate relatives, the Bonobos, use homosexual behavior in their society for a variety of reasons ranging from social cohesion, pacification of the dominant Alpha male, and for that age old reason, They do it because it feels good!

lowest of the low .........
.... i don`t know about shore sahib`s observation that 4 out of 6 pakis have had a homosexual experience - it seems a little high - but the way people talk about it on the the streets of pakistan you whould think that most of them are obseessed with homosexuality ........ for example gandoo is the second most commonly used word in punjabi and urdu after the ubiquitouos bc .............and like bc it has many connotations - it can be used as a term of endearment as in `` yaar, tu wada gandoo ein !``..... or as a term of derision, ``sala, gandoo hai !``.........or a simple salutation, `` abay gandoo, kiya haal hai !``......... what really perplexes me is the expletive bc-gandoo - there seems to be a dicotomy there ....... you often hear the restaurant owner yelling at the tea-boy, `` bc-gandoo, kahan mar gaya tha ?``........... i guess a bc-gandoo signifies the lowest of the low in our society .........

But eventually you turned out to be just fine - with family and all. Is there still a problem?

Re: # 46 hamidm
Thanks for the love letter but no thanks. The problem with me is that I do not seek the company of like minded men. I guess, I have this problem because I am the dominant Alpha male. I need to be pacified.

urstruly,
...... jokes aside - i do think if we did meet we would get along just fine even though we would disagree on just about everything (as long as the food and wine is good and plentiful - otherwise i get cranky) ........... and truthfully speaking, my own views on homosexuality have changed drastically over the last two years - sometimes you can learn a lot of things from your kids ...........
