[After weeks of abuse, lame comebacks, and unfunny ``masterstrokes`` ... finally a solitary witty comment. I congratulate you sir.]
And I can only console you sir. Even after weeks and hundreds of posts, you still haven`t been able to come up with a clincher that would absolve your hero. Just keep the faith bud! Who knows, you still may be able to convince some naive Indians.

[More comprehension issues. My point was that while I have on occasion resorted to bad language regretfully when people like you have left me no choice..]
Ooooh! Playing the victim again? Now that all your arguments have been busted, you resort to whining? Call mommy!!
[... you resort to it habitually and as a matter of principle, which is indicative of your inability to put up plausible arguments.]
Nope. It is you who when left with no arguments, started crying hoarse and resorting to foul language. I`m just giving you a taste of your own medicine, just so you realize that people can give as good as they get, if not better. And just so that the next time you don`t resort to it when cornered.
Again, please don`t flatter yourself by thinking you have come up with a convincing argument. Your case has been punctured by your inability to answer a simple and straightforward question. All you could incoherently blabber in response was about some conjectures and hypothetical situations. Some plausible argument that was!!

[It is clear to me that you are experiencing comprehension difficulties at at the moment.]
Nope. It`s not me, it`s you. Where did I ever say that you had abused me on THIS board? Or were you just trying to be a tad smart by trying to hush up your conduct on the other boards? The past has a way of catching up with people, doesn`t it?

[If indeed there is any veracity to your claim that you`ve only responded to my abuse, p
please do show me where I have abused you on this board, yet you continue to abuse me.]
Please look up the Mahadev Gobind Ranade board. If you are unable to find it, do let me know.

[Even on this board you have chosen to take a swing at my name (you write Yasser as if that is suppose to be such a masterstroke), and you were apparently trying to be ``civil``.]
Please bear in mind that every swipe of mine has been in reaction to your abuses. You thought you would get away with all those swear words, but when I gave it back, you whine like such a crybaby?
[I have frankly not resorted to any such vocabulary with you but it is clear to me that people like you know nothing else.]
I already answered this. You started with words like liar and blind and men`s orifices, and then you proclaim that you have never used such vocabulary. I haven`t seen a more dishonest interactor on Chowk. For all his Islamic zealotry, echoboom seems so much saner and more honest than you.
[Nobody is perfect... sure you can find a lot in my interacts that might be insulting, but since I usually have a point, I don`t resort to it on a regular basis, and try not to resort to it at all. You on the other hand can`t carry out a simple discussion without resorting to it.]
Please don`t flatter yourself and worse, paint yourself as the victim. You probably have used the words liar, bigot, and blind more than anyone else on Chowk. You sir, have absolutely no right to complain.
[I am wondering if what Urstruly says has some truth to it, though I would hate to believe it.]
Thanks for coming out of the closet. I always knew you were a Hindu-hater and that you were merely putting on an act. I don`t know if you felt the need to act that way because of your Ahmadi faith and you wanted to convince people that you were more Paki than a Sunni Muslim Paki, or if simply because that is the fashion among yuppie Pakis these days, but anyways, thanks for blowing the cover off.

[.......... be very careful otherwise you will find yourself sleeping on floor of a masjid with ten gassy men who snore ............ in the morning you will get up to the sound of phlegmy old men clearing their throats before squatting on the floor to eat cold roti and day old dal ......]

[Come on, do you REALLY expect that Amrita, Aniruddha Shankar aka Snark, Amit, Dost-Mittar or even our janitorial shrink who has popped up like a bad coin again on Chowk would write about such things? They would be more likely to shed crocodile tears and suggest that money earned by the hardworking public should be given out for the Hajj pilgrimage so that the minorities would feel secure in India!]
Hmmm... why don`t the minorities feel secure in India - the largest democracy on earth???
I suppose Urstruly does have a point.
Anyway...how beautiful and pertinent are the following lyrics for everyone to think about:
If blood will flow when flesh and steel are one
Drying in the colour of the evening sun
Tomorrow`s rain will wash the stains away
But something in our minds will always stay
Perhaps this final act was meant
To clinch a lifetime`s argument
That nothing comes from violence and nothing ever could
For all those born beneath an angry star
Lest we forget how fragile we are
On and on the rain will fall
Like tears from a star like tears from a star
On and on the rain will say
How fragile we are how fragile we are
-Sting
Cheers

Actually, it should have been. You never know when to leave well enough alone!
[The problem with people like you is that you expect people like me to sound like people like you.]
I belong to the school of thought that says, ``When I want your opinion, I will give it to you!``
[..Each of us has certain ideas and opinions and we express them. You really do not need to be a sleuth to find out where my sympathies lie. So, why do you want me to lie?]
The question is: are these sympathies for Indian citizens, for the downtrodden poor of India, for the downrodden poor of the world, or for some mythical Ummah?
Right now, the workers on road projects in Tamil Nadu are all from Orissa or Bihar. They are paid Rs. 15 a day plus meals as opposed to the Rs. 150 a day or more that the locals demand. Is this not exploitation? Why is it that no Investigative Reporter wants to write about that?
[You have asked me to write about the plight of Kashmiri pundits in the “slums of Delhi”. Why? Because I wrote about BD refugees. Why is no one else asked to write on the subject? We have writers based in Delhi…ask them. More importantly, as I had written in an article earlier, the government is seeing these displaced people all the time, what is it doing?]

[{Controversial topics generate lots of readers and interacts.}
This applies to the print medium and TV as well…I have not seen you on my poetry board or whenever I have written anything sweet and nice.]
I don`t handle poetry well.
[I don’t see you on these boards – not even on some of your own!]
On my boards, I usually have said EVERYTHING I have wanted to say!
[{Even FV-ji had to wonder why nobody commented on her series of photographs.}
I made the mistake of equating the art gallery with any other board. Few people interact there anyway, but I did manage a decent number after all the emotional appeal I made. And what was it for? A series of pix about tortured Muslims? Or FVji gloating about Kashmiri pundits being homeless? No. It was a pictorial tribute to my country. I called it ‘Ibaadat India’. I guess it does not make much sense to you.]
I really am not qualified to comment on photography: composition, the interplay of light and shadow, etc. So, while I went through the photos, I didn`t make any comments.
[It would have been nice had you said something there. But whenever I write what people like you might find palatable, you stay away. Or I get to hear the standard: “I cannot believe this is happening, but I actually find myself agreeing with FV”! For god’s sake, this is not even funny…]
There is NO danger of me EVER saying, “I cannot believe this is happening, but I actually find myself agreeing with FV”!
Peace!
