Not true.
I have seen many stunningly looking non-brahmin girls in South. Dark complexioned, yes but then we are not talking about color but features. All Indians (to a white man in Europe/US) are either brown or black.

My best friend (like yours) was also a Pakistani. He was no great looker.
So, in the looks dept, God is a great leveller. We are not talking about color (unless u think fair automatically means good looks). I have not seen many good looking Pakis in USA and i have been here for a long time now.
Also, by and large, in India, UP, Bihar, M.P (the so called BIMARU states) do not excel in anything, including the looks dept.
