Asif: I guess our taste is quite different. And, that`s fine. I am not into following such shariah which is developed to support men and is created by men. You are more than welcome to take refuge behind the man-made shariah. I am thinking of hanging out with the ``wise woman`` who talks about at least 4 plus men. Between you and me, I think she is coming back at men who chant the myth on 4 wives :)
I am glad that we have a majnun on Chowk. Can the ranjha, maheenvaal, and farhad raise their hands to complete the Club of Romantics?
Thank You All!

dear nt sahib, self confessed chowkie comic and brilliant matrimonial catch:
which country do you live in?
pls dont write me 1500 words as you usually do to all those who address you, pls dont bother to examine this message minutely [i still only want to know the name of the country]. In fact dont even write me 15 words unless the name of the country runs into 15 words.
just head your post ``Amrita`` or give the number of the interact and tell me the name of the country. i promise this is not an attempt to hunt you down and make you marry me at gun point or even kidnap you and force you into sex with a powerful prostitute thus giving you a STD. i simply want to put a question to you and I would like to know the name of your country of residence first.
thanks.

Why are you in UAE rather than Iran? I mean, its doing really well and its more Islamic than UAE, right?
[that comes across as 2 questions, but the 2nd one is rhetorical]

NT sahib, whenever Allah has tried to make you a better Muslim before, I`m sure He didnt come Himself and take you by the hand personally [if I`m mistaken, I am sure we would love to hear all about it]. Instead He must have shown you the way.
Now here you are, wanting to be a better Muslim and there is Iran, the nearest thing to the perfect (Islamic) living - pls understand I am going by your posts here, none of the Iranians i know, alas, share your conviction as they have been woefully brainwashed by whoever it is that is in charge of brainwashing in the west - and all the time you have to think about it and defend it and research it when it comes under attack by people like Samina, Hamidm, Temporal, etc.
How much more can Allah do for you? You are constantly thinking about Iran and Iran is constantly thinking about people like you too, I`m sure. I think you should leave UAE where they allow booze, women in scanty clothes, prostitution and interest banking.

Re: # 238
Amrita,
First of all, on this earth my desired destination is to be as close to Makkah and/or Madinah as possible. But like I told hamidm, if I could I would go straight to heavens. Meanwhile, I`ll be wherever Allah takes me and obey Him there to the best of my abilities.
As for countries and territories, one needn`t even step out of his/her bed to commit a sin. I can commit the biggest of sins - denying Allah`s Divine Existence - without moving a single muscle in my body. On the other hand, most Prophets of Allah (pbut) were raised in most corrupt and sinful of environments to lead the mankind out of decadence.
Adversity will always surround each of us wherever we are. We can either succumb to them or rise above them for the higher objective(s). In my case, as that of many believers`, it is to follow Allah`s instructions to the best of our abilities in this temporary life so my eternal life is comfortable, i.e. in the paradise, and leave the results up to Him.
Sorry to correct you here, but metaphorically speaking He does take us by our hands and leads us to wherever He deems fit for us. He creates circumstances around us that lead us to make a choice, regardless of whether we believe in Him or not. Then onwards He leaves it up to the individuals to choose the right way or the wrong one. It`s only a matter of looking around ourselves to see how much control we have over our surrounding.
Just because He has given us the freedom to choose, it doesn`t mean He has relinquished His control. This is perhaps the most bitter pill for the disbelievers and unbelievers throughout the history, as per my studies of the books written by the ideologically neutral and logically neutered.
I read a very good quote once: ``People don`t plan to fail; they simple fail to plan``
Planning for this unpredictable life is short-term planning, and short-term plans are best devised in light of a long-term goal; in this case, the eternal life in the hereafter. Otherwise, we`re just a good as other animals that eat, excrete, sleep, breed, and die on a daily, hourly, or minute basis, because no one, except Allah, knows when anyone`s life will end.

Hell is a city much like London—
A populous and a smoky city;
There are all sorts of people undone,
And there is little or no fun done;
Small justice shown, and still less pity.

Re: # 208
Samina: It`s in the nature of an insecure and regressive man/woman to badmouth the western world. Beyond that, I would not lose any sleep on the mental diarhea. To give an example: Can anyone please ask around that how many women in Pakistan or for that matter in the muslim world own their own property? Majority must have inherited/will inherit that from their parents or ancestors or husbands. The situation of successful muslim women in the west is quite different. Those who are responsible and have done well in their respective careers (and not jobs) have established them on their own. The insecure(men/women) get threatened by such developments. They want to live and die in the black cell of imagination that women cannot support themselves and do well to contribute to their respective communities.
Then you have the nonsense on the pay structure: for each dollar a woman gets 83 cents whereas a man receives 95. This happens at a certain level but this does not make women paupers. There are quite a few enlightened men on Chowk who like to beat that drum more often than necessary. I am positive that only 2% may have women in their lives who are even capable of earning those 83 cents. Then you hear the argument that those women have men to take care of them. This whole concept of taking care is misunderstood and has taken a demeaning path.
I will shed some light on the above after getting my Sunday morning paraffin manicure, aroma therapy pedicure and a deep tissue massage.
See you later,
Have a nice day.

Nyet Sahib,
1. Provide one example of an Islamic theocracy in which women (regardless of their religious interpretations, ideologies, race and class) are a systematic and well represented part of ALL of country`s institution.
2. Provide the statistics that PROVE that sexual and non sexual assaults against women are HIGHER in the US than in Pakistan.
I also know you are particularly an disgusting and worthless example of a human being...but even a jackass such as yourself would be embarrassed at calling a pregnant woman ``fat``....but from what I`ve learned from desi fundos, the depths of stupidity are unfathomable....

Re: # 207
Still no commitment from you to actually DO something to help the oppressed Pakistani women beyond YappING, and counter mullah Edhi and others of his ilk??? That`s so sad :(~~
1. I R A N
2. AGAIN...Google it out, or Cluster it, or Visit your Department of inJustice-USA for the statistics so you have no doubt that I doctored them to silence you.
I also know you are particularly an disgusting and worthless example of a human being...
Firstly, if you KNEW me, you`d be on your hands and knees begging me and my zoja-mohterma to let you fill the second slot of my Islamically entitled four marriages.
Anyway, let`s assess your following comment:
particularly an disgusting and worthless example of a human being...but even a jackass such as yourself .... hmmm
Give it up Sumo Sahiba! Your resorting to personal insults strongly suggests you`re:
- out of intelligent arguments,
AND
- tired of dancing around your own elusive lines in the sand and being caught every single time doing so,
AND
- exhausted of your pathetic arrogance to not answer a simple question repeatedly put forth before you lest it highlights your inept keyboard activism,
AND
- ``progressively`` constipated to offer an intelligent argument instead of bashing notions that you disagree with,
- etc, etc, etc....lol
The regression in your etiquette definitely qualifies you for the title of Loooo-hooo-hooo-hoooo-hooozzzzeRRRRRRRR!.
...pregnant woman ``fat``
Allah is my wintess, I don`t know if you`re pregnant, nor do I know if you`re FAT; for all I know you may not even be a woman but a woe-man or a drag. (Certainly your hard-drive doesn`t seem to be configured as FAT32, if anything at all, not to mention your faulty processor.) Thus, the ``fatty`` comment couldn`t have, and WAS NOT pointed at you. Though on your part it amply demonstrates you`re taking things personally...specifically your personal failure to discern the obvious meanings and references viz ``fatty``!
Other than that, kindly cite ONE example when, where, or how I might have equated a pregnant woman as fat or vice versa.
....but from what I`ve learned from desi fundos, the depths of stupidity are unfathomable....
In case your frustrated Unambiguous State of Absolute Confusion is unable to distinguish, the inability to FATHOM (as in unfathomable) is the very definition of STUPIDITY. In this case, your own joke is on you.......LOL
Furthermore, you wouldn`t suffer hysteria or frustration if you had LEARNED something from ANY ONE!
Rest assured being a man of command on several cultures and their various dimensions, as well as fluent in several languages I could very easily bestow some very descriptive titles on you that are guaranteed to set you on fire and over-fry your eggs within before they hatch the twinkle of your eyes.
But in my constant endeavors to become a better Muslim with every passing day, I shall not stoop to your level and shall not shatter your misplaced and over-inflated feminine ego and self-esteem any more than you`ve already managed to damage them.
Thus, I forgive you.
Now, please go and lie down on a shrink`s couch, take some intellectual laxatives, breath some fresh air, tuck your ovaries back inside before you crush them yourself, or do whatever you need to do to GET A LIFE in this world and hereafter!
May Allah bless your soul before and after you, ameen!
