Ahmed, NFP has already done ali azmats album review here on chowk and The News ...
babray, no idea what you are talking about I think you are very much confused about where to stand on the NFP issue.

It is an interesting list, although I have heard worse songs from the Pakistani pop music scene. :) Nadeem, why haven`t you reviewed any new Pakistani albums? Ali Azmat`s solo album is out. I checked out a couple of tracks, and wasn`t impressed. I am atill waiting for Aamir Zaki`s album (10 years and counting). I heard Adnan Afaq`s solo is almost complete, but no one is willing to release it. What happened to the Eccentric Circle? On a side note, did anyone get hold of Dream Theater`s latest album Octavarium which was released yesterday? I am listening to it right now.

This is in ref to Mr. burpinder`s bullshXXt. I have seen more intelligent anti-NFP folks and I hope to belong with them. So please do not put me in burpinder`s league of brainless anti-NFP people. I may be anti-NFP but I am not anti-intelligence and thus should be seperated from dumbness like burpinder.

I don`t agree with your inclusion of Sohniyae in the Top 20 worst Pakipop songs of all time.
Nadeem is a boring writer.
``Yungie`` Malmsteen kaun hai? Tera baap?
Don`t write on topics you have no idea about.
OK, tata bye bye.

it`s ana. not anna.
personally this guru shuru business, and attributing the pakistani music scene solely to NFP is a bit over the top, innit?! :)
and baabray, perhaps it went over your head, but what i was getting at is that it is bad etiquette to bring up how much a person makes, and especially on a public forum. perhaps it`s not entirely private knowledge how much either of you make, but it really isn`t our business either.
then again pakistan maiN etiquette kya cheez hoti hai, kaun jaanay? probably not most people.

Oh, I will Anna Ji and much more. But I remain a fan of his even, well nevermind. He`s NFP, guru ji to so many who sit around him learning from his wisdom. And he loves that. But only if they were getting even half of what he gets. I`ll take it.

baabray ji:
you shouldn`t be afraid to write anything in your ilogs since you so unabashedly (and inappropriately) disclosed yours and NFP`s earnings here. :))
do write on. . .

Big, big fan of Nadeem F. Paracha, but it’s funny how we’ve known that throughout his career, every time he has been attacked for his bluntness and arrogant humour, Mr. NFP has had the last laugh.
Meaning? Meaning for quite a while he has been the country’s highest paid music critic, and this leaves him laughing all the way to the bank. While poor sods like me get a mere cheque of rs.1000 from both Dawn or The News for a review, Mr. Paracha is posted a hefty cheque of Rs.7000 for a as little as a 500 word piece. I may seem like whining, but, okay, actually I am. Anyway, Paracha, ab Najam ka peecha chordey bhai. It seems many of your readers have accepted him as a saviour.

321827 ... dude I wasnt at all talking about you, I was only talking about people who have a personal axe to grind against NFP and they do so by talking crap. As a matter of fact I actually agree with much of your post. That on the fringe show which carried NFP`s interview, fasi zaka said how in the 90s NFP was constantly threatened and attacked by religious parties and even some musicians but that never stopped him from being a big name in pakistani journalism and all i am saying is these personal attacks here are nothing compared to that.

okay. . .
it`s really pointless to begin insulting each other over this, because, first of all there is nowhere that NFP says this is a ``definitive`` list. secondly this is his list, whether you agree or disagree, it is his list, and we all have lists of our own. this isn`t some stalinesque ``accept this list as truth or face the consequences`` type deal.
as entertaining as this list, and your disagreements have been, y`all are taking this waaaay too seriously. chill pills, anyone?

Attacked by idiots? I think the only idiot here is the person who adds a Hamd in a pop music list! I never judged the guy over his career, please first read my post before posting such shite! Im only against this list, get that in your head please and stop acting like such a moron!
#54 Posted by patwari on June 6, 2005 2:03:38 am
It is quite simple really, specially people who have been following Paki pop scene ever since 90s know that had there been no NFP in Pakistani journalism there had been no Paki music scene, just ask men like Rohail Hayat of Vital Signs and Salman AShmed of Junoon. But I think NFP has always been attacked by idiots who should know more before they let loose their shite. Of course there will be differences of opinions, I dont agree with many of his choices but myself many many more in Pakistan know the importance NFP has in paki music scene.

I dont hate NFP or anything, but there are some wrong picks in the list with totally unjustifiable reasons!

patwari. . . i understood what ss said. . . i just wanted to pitch in that some reactions needn`t be so extreme. . . and aren`t. and also now that i think about it, some have been awfully personal too. .
par koi na. . . NFP loves us all.
