Naqshbandi bhai:
take it easy. Yea, we murtids are gonna get burned in hell, i`ll be asking welding supervisors for a spark or two to light up my joints in between pyro sessions so yea it will be all good.
I think you should upgrade us to Munafiqs cos the pyro intensity a Munafiq gonna get in hell is supposedly way too higher than murtids, kaafirs combined. has got more bite to it, you know.
cheers man.
NFP: i have not read your play so i got no comments. :-)
wama alaina illal balagh.

Superb. Khool imagery, very much NFPsque. So your personal war with distorted faith goes on. But let`s say someone in Pakistan would like to stage this play, will they be able to?

In traditional Christian theology, Lucifer was once second in command to God. However, he lusted after God`s position and wished to be first. He led a revolt against God and led as many as ``one third`` of the other angels. He lost and was banished to the Earth to roam until Judgment Day. His followers were the fallen angels and became demons and evil spirits. The Book of Revelation states that Lucifer and his followers will be banished to Hell forever. This is usually called ``The First War In Heaven.``
The play takes place in a second such war.

Nicely written. The fuzzy-boundries of good and evil were portrayed quite well. However, the whole story climaxes to a flawed conclusion. The two lines ``A godless Earth. A peaceful Earth.`` Up until that point it was a good story; and then it became humanist/athiest propoganda. We all know that humans are flawed and complex. Our capability of performing extremes and the ability to affect others on larger scales than any other animal is the reason why the concept of a peaceful earth is elusive. To an equal degree, our Earth IS a godless earth as much as it is one with God. And no distinction can be made of insanity, stupidity and desire on either side.
Oh..and..it is not necessary for God to actually talk to Adam or Eve or any other human for us to conceive/know of him. So even in a godless Earth, where humans where never contacted by a God (whether existing or not), some of them would naturally turn to reach out to a higher unifying entity that could conceptually tie in the vastness and complexity of this universe.
Some would say this is because God is not a distinct separate being that he can just isolate himself from us, but is inherently the foundation of reality.
Anywho, the Angel/Demons war concept is something that really interests me (e.g. the movie Constantine) and maybe if you could write about the 2 wars in detail..that would be neat.

Yes Pazuzu was the demon used in all four Exorcist films. For brief profiles on all the angels and demons’ names I have mentioned just goggle ‘em.
· Naqshbandi
You suggested: ~~chowk allows such blasphemy and yet will censure us if we call a murtad a murtad!.~~
Well, now they have allowed you to say “Murtad a Murtad.” And now hear me say it as well: A murtad is a murtad is a murtad. So get over it, already.
You also suggested: ~~the author obviously has pretensions...borrowing from here and there...Iqbal`s impact is obvious that here the idea is perverted to blasphemous ends..I couldn`t even read all of it for fear of insulting some of Allah`s Beloveds...~~
I think you have a good enough a brain to critique a fictitious piece a lot more eloquently than with an abrupt (if not downright bigoted) “la hawla wa la quwwata ila billah...” By saying this if you expected me to vanish, well I didn’t. Next time, the wise, spiritual, naqshband Muslim that you are, try blowing me up through a suicide bomber (I recommend hamzad).
And also, if you do allow your righteous self to coment on my post, then this time around kindly do read the play in its entirety. Otherwise don’t bother.

Alright here now come the self claimed keepers of the faith and god`s soldiers with their typical narrow minded crys of blasphemy, naqsh saab I have very high respect for you so please do not destroy my respecting image of you by making noises the kind we in Pakistan are sick of hearing from so many myopic mulaas. If you read carefully it is clear that the story is suggesting the end of god Satan and religion as we know it and doing so for what god originally stood for.
#10 Posted by nausheenmirza on June 11, 2005 7:18:03 am
Cleverly done. Liked the way the author puts both forces of ``good`` and ``evil`` on the same boat.

Acha tho Paracha ji, at least in Pakistan it is said that when one crosses the age of 35
people start getting more religious. However with you Paracha, you have on from becoming a tolerant agnostic to an intolerant and scathing atheist. I this your way of staying young?

PS: Isn`t Pazuzu also the biblical demon//fallen angel also used in those Exorcist movies? And kindly anyone please tell me a bit about all these other demons and angels whose names NFP has used here. Thanka.
#6 Posted by supersize on June 11, 2005 1:55:25 am
Fantastically and origenally done, NFP, but you have been pushing a bit too hard your
pleas for a totally secular world. I second Godot by agreeing more with your Jesus character than either Lucifer or your scheming God figure.

Brilliant absolutely. This just has to be the very best way and in a way darkest way you have yet again pleaded for a ``godless/religionless world`` and I loved it when you suggest to do so more for the sake of God than humans. Great piece of writing, sir like a twisted sci-fiction opera....

Nadeem -
A profound satire. A masterful piece.
However, I don’t agree with “A godless Earth. A peaceful Earth.” I agree with Jesus: “Humans will never be able to survive without God. Without religion ...Without Satan.”

Imagine there`s no countries,
It isnt hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people
living life in peace...
....John Lennon
Peace is so utopian a term. A godless Earth won`t be a peaceful Earth either. There`s much more to die for .... Why only blame religion!
