I have good experience of working with Indians and Pakistani people in America. The thing which i observed is that Indians always help others it dosn`t matter for them if they they are Indian or Pakistani. As i am Pakistani i have noticed that lot of times they not helping there own Pakistani brother or sister i DON`T know WHY??????

Although Indians can be fractious at times (it’s a well-known fact) that is true not just for India but the whole subcontinent. However, at times of external aggression, Indians bond together so strongly that it’s not even funny!
I hope that the computer models you supposedly write are not as simplistic as this little gem of “profound wisdom”, or you will end up with a LOT of free time on your hands!
Conflict is a characteristic of all humans. Your experience with other ethnicities appears very superficial! However, you have every right to your asinine opinions!

very well researched and well written. Good job. Jazzakallah. Bravo. shubh karaya. very good.

Partha, what you wrote is correct, but so is its opposite observation.
That`s just how India is - a crazy sort of place. On its land, all observations are simultaneously true.

Wow, this is really, like, profound. You must have spent years comparing how indians respond to other indians vs. other nationalities. I can only imagine the effort and ingenuity that went into reaching your conclusions - What toil, what sweat, what hard work!
Congratulations, I am in awe of your intellect. Please accept my humble good wishes. I am among those indians who is always impressed by the achievements of his country folk.

Partha:
Please read from Safarnama of Khamkhwa where even two nation theory is disassembled .
Hope that will optimistically space some reason of unity among Indians too on a national scale:
April 27, 2005
…she found all men on that particular PIA flight smelly, crude and loud who had no business traveling in a plane while desi children were obnoxious and noisy who were running, fighting , crying and creating overall chaos in her serene and peaceful life…men did not know how to use the lavatory and had splashed water all over the facility including squatting on top of commode to relieve themselves thereby shitting improperly…a similar scene was observed on this flight as well, therefore, the claim that we are two different nations, does not hold a lot of water. it also disproves the two nation theory as long as two people relieve themselves in the afore mentioned manner on a western commode…;) .....

Chowk Staff is made of dimwits
In the following what I am suggesting is based on my personal observation and remains an individual’s assessment. Many of you may disagree.
However, what I believe is that: “Chowk Staff is made of dimwits”
Let me extrapolate the point just mentioned. If Rediff, Sulekha or any other site were to get such balderdash, they would accord it the respect due to such garbage, and move it to trash can. However in the case of Chowk Staff there will be debate on whether there is any merit in the article, and if there is any redeeming value, it`ll make it to Front Page.
One of the possible reasons for such behavior could be the fact that Chowk Staff is an amalgamation of 8 different editor clubs that have been tied together to make an editorial team. These 8 separate clubs have their own language, eating habits and culture. Hence, an editor of Leafyglade Inn has almost nothing in common with an editor from Chaat House; they think differently, have differing notions of what is publishable and espouse different ideologies. Generally, editors of any particular Chowk section would get along fairly well rather than editors of two different Chowk sections. So one might argue that the affinity is at the level of Chowk sections like Leafyglade Inn and not Chowk.
On Chowk, like on some other sites, people do not appreciate others success. You tell a fellow Chowkie as to how great things are and he would be disappointed. However, if you recount your troubles then he would be almost happy, will provide advice, and offer help. I also think that among Sulekhans this feeling is much greater, if Chowkies try to pull each other down then Sulekhans try to tear each other down.
As mentioned earlier, these are personal opinion based on subjective observations. However, I do believe that ``Chowk Staff is made of dimwits``.

allow me to begin with your wise words ``In the following what I am suggesting is based on my personal observation and remains an individual`s assessment. Many of you may disagree.``;)
imho you could have done poetic justice to this: These 29 separate states have their own language, eating habits, eating habits and culture. by reinforcing your message thus:
``These 29 separate states have their own language eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, eating habits, and eating habits and culture. ``

Whoa!
Didn`t know personal opinions could also make it to chowk FP. So, lets say, a thousand people log in to chowk, each one has got, of course, a personal opnion about a thousand issues, so that makes 1000000 opinions in total, to say the least. Will they all find a voice?
On a different note, am no Indian, but to me Udit`s song `hum logoN ko samajh sako tau...`, perhaps best portrays the diversity in attitudes of the subcontinent`s people.

... i guess this has gone far enough...leave partha alone...one who needs dissing is the editor who thought this garbage fit for front page... i say dismiss him/her from this post and appoint me in his/her place instead...;)

I could not agree more with the opinion expressed by Partha Roy. I do think Sardarjees are different as are Punjabees in general. Could this be true of Assamees- May be but my experience is very limited. Certainly, most other Indians indeed do not like each other. I have always tried to smile at ``Indians`` that I meet on the street and it is seldom that I get a smile in return. Most Pakistanis, women in particular (educated, I suppose) smile back and are more forthcoming in a coversation, be it in the lobby or in a grocery store. I find it difficult to explain though, given the rather similar cultural background.

//I also think that among Pakistanis this feeling is much greater, if Indians try to pull each other down then Pakistanis try to tear each other down. //
seriously, this true. Pakistani`s wont just try to `tear` u down but also would take every possible to lower u down, or maligne ur image infront of everybody. They just cannot tolerate another pakistani working hard, looking good and you`ll be surprised to kno, that they wont like if a pakistani worships more than they do.
Roots of jealousy are not only here but actually everyhwere, or lets say we HAVE this is IN subcontinent. We tend to live on glorious past but a failing future. Instead of supporting each other we try to get ahead-but illegaly.
UK being concentrated with pakistani and indian popluation is a perefct example of this scenario u drew. I wonder where this multiethnic cosmopolitan would end up.
It is a request to all those brash pakistanis reading this: TOLERATE ur the same breed afterall.
