I wrote that post with some hesitation because I did not want to get into the type of discussion we are now entering. But I could not stand by and see the character assasination of someone I know to be a very decent and kind human being. And in so doing, I analysed what I think are the reasons for what`s happening here. If I were a moderator of this forum, I would have closed this thread with a statement, ``This thread is now closed as it has turned into personal abuses``.

3. repeated post of their workplace

Dost Mittar, do you think these are not serious violations of privacy? Who among the rest of the interactors to which you refer compulsively and ceaselessly complete actions 1-3.?

I belong to the old school where civil and courteous discourse and respect for women was more important than privacy and in that old fashioned world, women did not use four-letter words either. But I do know that the world has changed and, so, I agree that the rules regarding privacy must be followed. Some of us do know other chowkies in real life and make it a point not to advertantly divulge their personal information. I do not know whether posting personal information from a public source at chowk is specifically forbidden by chowk guidelines or law, but if it is then isn`t it chowk that should not have published this information in the first place? By the way, I do know of at least one other case where an esteemed chowkie posted a picture of ZahraJ on chowk, though not in a negative way. Regardless, as a simple matter of courtesy, if someone has posted information about someone else without knowing their true feelings about it, the least they should do is apologise for their act.

The staff of Chowk has continually worked towards deleting the eggregiously abusive messages constantly posted by salim and co. This is becoming a 24-7 task. Do you agree that chowk.com, a free website that is run out of the pockets of its owners and workers should have to do that? Do you know why they are contributing their free labor so that ``Salim`` and co. can continue to abuse the resources of this website? So that ``salim`` and ``co`` can cyber harrass ceaselessly anyone they do not like.

Can you defend this? Can you tell us what is ``kind and decent`` about exploiting the labor and vision of the people who provide a website so that you can mock ideas of free speech, equality and indo pak dialogue?

Your pic will never get posted or ridiculed because 1. desi women could care less 2. the chamchas here adore you...and women are meant to be shamed, boys are just naughty...

Why there is so long list of good interactors that have problem with Samin Asha? Ana, Mr. Godot, Mr. Salim, Ms. Syke, Ms. Aimie and many more. She should be removed from CHowk to eliminate many fights.

One cannot condone or accept boorish behaviour on a forum which is meant to be a civislised one. Anyone can post a picture and suggest that this is of xyz. It is upto xyz and his/her firends/cronies to validate/verify this data. If privacy is paramount that this validation/verification should not have been done. The search would have become eternal. As tihngs stand there appears to be a set of pictures somewhere which will be used repeatedly just to get a cyber-high every time a thrill is required. It is upto the person at the recieving end whether they want to provide such thrills or not. That this was done, in no uncertain manner, indicates that there was mutual appreciation of the act itself.

It would be interesting to see the reaction if you did manage to post their pictures as well. Can you do it? You do seem to be havng some information in this regard. So do it and be done with it. Get rid of the monkey on back.

By all credible accounts, the pics posted of female interactors was not done so with the permission of these REAL people. Jawahara just pointed out that her picture was posted not for reasons of praise.

If you find the ideas of violation of privacy inconvenient to your argument, how about dealing with the actual reasons for posting pics of female interactors-for ridicule, abuse and harrassment? Are you going to actually claim that salim and co did not accompany their posting of our pics with comments of ``ugly``, ``fat``, etc.? Please discuss the kind and decent behavior of such actions.

Ms. Jawahara is not rude foul mouth with big ego and small brain. That is difference between Samin Asha and her.

.......... why would anyone want to do it ? ....... it sounds sort of juvenile .......... maybe chowk should set an age limit ......... i propose a minimum age of forty because that is the age when most men grow up (even god didn`t trust the prophet until he turned forty ) ..........
