no, that was not a whine about indian christians and i will tell you why it was not a whine. because if you had not read the post of the person i was responding to, he was talking about why farzana didn`t write about what was happening to hindu refugees and what the pakistani and bangladeshi mullahs had done to them. . . the purpose for my including indian christians was to say heck, why doesn`t farzana focus on other groups besides muslims. majority or minority. . . indians! are you still not getting it? because if you aren`t, then you are more thick-headed than i thought. the issue was balance. the question had already been put forth. the point i was trying to make was that most of farzana`s political writings do not stray far from muslims, and most everyone`s political writing here doesn`t stray from what they consider to be their community. where is the whine in that? there is none. when you ask rhetorical questions to try and make a point, as more than a few do, tell me, are you ``whining``? i apologize if i didn`t spell out my intent in writing my post, but you are way off base on this one, sir.
and yes, most of us know how brilliant you are at sarcasm, among other things.

Actually, there`s no way you can train for suicide bombing. That`s because, whatever your religion, you die only once. All you can do is to wear bombs and then rely on the dangerous streak of self-destruction that`s so unique of your faith.
We heard that Paki slogan of bleeding India with thousand cuts. If anyone still has any doubts just read #111. And this same guy was lecturing us on secularism in his initial posts. Fcuking lunatic!

Dear Farzana:
Your fear and nervousness is understandable but sometimes it helps to be away from the eye of the storm to make a more objective assessment. Based on that premise, I think that the chances of a communal backlash are quite low. Here are my reasons:
- No Hindus were targetted in this attack. Attacks on Hindu places of worship have not resulted in the past in a communal backlash.
-There was no spontaneous mob friction, such as what happened at Godhra.
- Mualyam is no Modi
- Manmohan is no Vajapee and Sonia is not beholden to the RSS.
Finally, I think that you could have been more balanced if you had directed some of your outrage at those who sponsor such attacks and their support infrastructure.

Re: # 117 Very happy to see your pants burning.
Today morning, I saw most of these Indians talking of waging war against Pakistan, invading it and imposing sanctions. Now look, how sensitive are they when they are realized that war will cause destruction to them as well.
Fcuking bastards.

What makes you think the jihadis outrage FV? She`s the one who thinks the Kashmiri pandits had it coming...

[And I know, Not a single Indian has the courage to give his life that way.]
What do you mean by that? Paki soldiers eating grass and dying on the Kargil heights? Or is it surrendering with their pants down when they were caught merrily raping B`deshi women?
[There is a bigger donkey named India. It often tries to kick a bomb named Pakistan. Well, we invite you to kick the bomb and see what happens.]
But the only donkey that has kicked anyone here is a donkey named Pakistan. It tried to kick India in 1948, 65, 71, and 99. Each time it has carried a sore ass back home.

``Our first plan is to train 100 young boys from every district at the moment for suicide bombing. It will be 100x100 = 10000 potential martyrs. ``
I guess very soon heaven is going to face a paucity of houris>.
On a serious note, it would be better for pakistan if instead of 10000 potential martyrs, it concentrated on grooming 10000 potential entrepreneurs.

//...Our first plan is to train 100 young boys from every district at the moment for suicide bombing...//
Are you sure? Shouldn`t the ``young boys`` be trained to be ghilmans first? ..... Or is it that they become ghilmans after they go to heaven?........And what about houris? What`s your ``plan`` for collecting all the houris needed for the martyrs?

harimau,
Dr. Livingstone was a proponent of colonialism and so anything he wrote should be taken with a grain of salt.
What there are, however, are account from slaves themselves that paint a not-so rosy picture. And it was Zanzibar, not Mecca, that was the major Arab slave trading post. It existed. The scale is perhaps overstated as a means of creating the illusion that somehow it was as bad as the European slavery, but it existed nontheless.
Your distinction of ARAB muslims doesn`t help. I am not a proponent of putting down anyone`s race for the sake of our own. My own ancestors were probably rapist landowners who had their own low-caste slaves that they treated like complete crap....and they were most likley Hindu. So who are we to condemn anyone else through the lense of history?
As for Jews, they took and freed slaves as well. In India, though, the biggest slavers were Hindus. Whereas in the middle east, a nasty slave trade developed where people were commodities, in India a social setup existed which established defacto slavery. People were sub-human here as well. Let us call a spade a spade.
Whereas in Islam slaves had established their own empires and some (in particular court slaves) even had more power than a free person, had a low caste Hindu ever done the same?

An oddity - no group has claimed responsibility. Is it because the mission was a failure?
