....personally i see no big deal in this shall we say...storm in a tea cup...okay some nuts got killed trying to do something stupid and gone off to the happy hunting grounds... demolishing, building, renovating, demolishing is a natural cycle...has been happening for thousand of years, will continue to happen for the next thousand years...these structures...mosques, temples, churches and synogogues ae built for the purpose of worshipping god/gods...what the worshippers do to each other has nothing to do with god/gods... mitti paao...

So FV has a problem with the paki flag being burnt? Wonder why....

I don’t want the flag of another country to be used as a red rag to get saffron bulls charging at us.

Yup...It`s not the paki flag...it`s a flag of just another country...yet when muslims burn the American flag to protest something, that`s not waving a green flag to the Islamist bull....

Re: # 29 (singularity)

You have raised some moot points. You seem irate and charged up (too many ALL CAPS, which imply you are YELLING!). If this makes it any easier, i am a muslim, and i am utterly disgusted by the way (muslims) are conducting themselves around the world today. If seems history hasn`t really taught us anything. I recently dabbled into some historical perspective on the wars india fought with pakistan, especially the one in 1971. This one gets the focus because it was a civil war where (pakistani) muslims killed (bengali) muslims. Strangely, they were both muslims. While it was happening, not only did all the muslims countries stay quiet, some even (Jordan and Saudi Arabia) helped West Pakistan. But the cause of the civil war is the reason that irks me the most. It was one group of muslims(punabis) exploiting the other group (bengalis)muslims, because of racial and cultural differences.

Singularity,

The strange thing is ISLAM is a complete way of life where there is NO PLACE FOR NATIONALISM. Qur`an is not antiquated; rather, it`s messages are eternal and universal. And of 1.5 billion muslims who follow this beuatiful religion, only may be 0.000000000001% follow it right. The rest follow the tainted version of islam -so called political islam. It`s the version where you selfishly look out for yourself in the most unislamic way possible, and when the going gets tough, you hide behind the facade of ISLAM. And when that happens, you get genocide, suicide bombers, rape, abolition of rights, abuse of women, violence etc.

I consider myself as a muslim before i am anything else (pakistani, indian, arab) and i am not apologetic for the behaviors of these so-called muslims around the world. In my eyes it was a bunch of Saudis who destroyed the twin tower, Sudanese arabs who are killing muslims in Darfur, Punjabis who are killing blauchis, Palestinian suicide bombers killing civilians, NOT MUSLIMS. And why do i think that way? because that is how they see themselves, ethnicity and race first, islam second.

it does not behoove us to turn this into a hindu vs muslim thing on this board because of the words of a togadia or a jaswant singh.

Did you RTFA? FV turned it into a hindu-muslim thing, with a poor victimized farzana as a side dish...

mohar:

i didn`t think that remark would be paid much attention to. you have to have seen or heard of the movie ``sunset boulevard`` and the famous line at the end ``i`m ready for my close-up now mr. de mille.`` to get where that remark came from. cecil b. de mille was a famous (or infamous for some) hollywood movie director who was responsible for bringing such epics as ``the ten commandments.`` all i really wanted to say was i was already ready to resume my hiatus from chowk, so your wish for me to take a break from the non-existent ``FDC`` was not entirely in vain.

bye. . .

Re: # 48
Wow! you indulge in name calling with so little provocation. With one post of mine you have jumped on the band wagon calling me ``Ttibal arab brainwahsed muslim`` or whatever that means?
The ``paki mullah`` who is fighting in Iraq for the cause of Islam is the real brainwashed one, not me. Again, i am a fairly educated person, but i cant speak intelligently about what delusional version of islam, a ``paki mullah`` in Iraq is fighting for Your line of accusation is tantamount to laying the blame on every white person for the crimes committed during slavery.

You said,`` There has never ever been any semblance of the UTOPIAN, DELUSIONAL ISLAM you are talking about. NEVER.``

Well there was. It was during the times of Prophet (PBUH). I am sure you are going to come back with some puerile refuttion calling him a polygamist pedophile and warring tyrant. And I see very clearly the futility of engaging in a belated forum based conversation with you about a time when neither of us were born.

You said, ``The world knows ISLAM now.``

That you are right about. Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world.
http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/9704/14/egypt.islam/

Its also glaringly obvious you know very little about Islam, Qur`an and the Sunnah, and being as parochial as you are expected to be, you have just hurled insult at our beloved Prophet (pBUH) by calling him a ``delusional tribal arab.`` Who is the bigoted fanatic here?dont worry, i will keep my reserve and not resort to the similar type of belittlement of your religion (whatever that may be).

I use caps for EMPHASIS. Dont read whats not there. You are the typical Tribal ARAB brainwashed muslim. You always lay your blame on something else RATHER than dig deeper for reasons and answers. TRY to answer all the questions I raised from a neutral perspective without mixing the ARAB Myth called Islam.

There has never ever been any semblance of the UTOPIAN, DELUSIONAL ISLAM you are talking about. NEVER. The paki mullah muslims who fight in IRAQ do so coz of ISLAM not coz the IRAQIS are relatives of PAK. The Saudi mullah muslims who indulge in suicide bombings in Iraq or US do so coz of Islam. Otherwise there is no reason why a bunch of educated people want to kill themselves for no OTHER reason.

You simply want to think you can pull the veil over the world, talking of some NON-EXISTENT, NEVER-EXISTED Islamic peace, to convince us infidel/evil non-muslim. But the world knows ISLAM now.

Wake up and look at the reality. What makes you think a book written by a delusional arab tribal in 600 AD is solutions to all problems all over the world FOREVER. Where is the rational explanation? Making claims is easy. Prove it.

Kashmakash : ``And once again, I say Indians are not secular. They only pretend. ``

Huh ? Everybody in a civilised society pretends to be secular . Why single out Indians ? Americans are officially secular , but a growing majority believes in hell and brimstone christian fundamentalism.

Atleast Indians have pretensions of being secular and strive to be so . Unlike some who follow certain religion with a certain holy book that unambigiously asks them to kill , torture and humiliate those who do not share their faith.

#49 and Mike, neither you are secular nor you pretend. If you think Muslims are swines, you publically claim so. Ask some doctor to check your DNA, it matches that of Arab DNAs. ;)

As I told you Kashmakash ...post 9-11, muslims dont count. Secularism means tolerance of all faith , all religions. But Islam is a murderous cult founded by a sick depraved pedophile. No reason for anybody to respect Islam. Hatred for a cult like Islam is only normal for a civilised society.

Kannaraja : ``Mike: Your comments about Muslims and Mohammed are unfounded, and pathetic``

I hope you are aware that Mr.Muhammad married a 6 year old girl called Ayesha when he was in is mid-50s and first had sex with her when she reached the mature age of 9.

It doesn`t bother me. I am least worried. And I am NOT a PEDO.

What do you think of child marriages in India which are still rampant in some states? Don`t you think those marriages are being consumated early? You are not worried or concerned about them, are you?

Mr. Kannaraja...58 year old having sexual intercourse with a 9 year old. And a whole bunch of people hold that 58 year old as a role model and will kill and die for stuff he spat out. Does than not bother you ? Are you are pedo yourself ?
