thank you Zeemax it has helped.
...and Yes I cherish , and want to go back to that place again.
....about religion, Its My theory, Religion is Toy, God has given to a `` Naughty Child`` called Man,he has placed that child in a playroom so as not to disturb him, he keeps an eye on Him everynow and then.. and during the course of History has given him some Manual so as the child could make a sense or head or tail out of that Toy...... he might have sent some one else who could teach that child How to play with that toy..
But that is Not reality, He will have a second level when he learns and masters that toy.
then he will be taken out of that room , In the mean while every Now and then, for some strange reason, He is shown a glimse of what Lay beyond. .....thats where these NDE....on a higher level, then OBE at a lower level [in OBE its not neccessary to die, with some practise it can be done ], and the most elementary level Dreams are used .......
Thansk again for sharing your experience...

Quoting Aquaris:
``yes it has changed, everything, ....about everything, about humans, about the World, about the Life, ........Yet I have not become religious.......Infact religion is like an envelope, a transparent envelope, which will keep you away from the reality, although you could see the reality, like from behind a glass, everything transparent,
But you won`t be able to Experience that Reality, Once you put yourself , into that religious envelope.
....... But I know that there is some Superior Being, .....and He is very REAL, I talked to Him, though I could not see him, He was behind Me, I was not facing Him.``
YOU ARE SO RIGHT. Did u know all religions basically say the same thing namely: ``There is a GOD.`` Then who cares what religion u belong to?
``Yes I think , they take you the very threshold of reality, Beyond which Maybe ,there is another STAGE ...or another REALITY.``
WE ALL HAVE OUR OWN REALITIES DUDE> and may all our sould rest in peace! ;)
quoting CheGuevara
``Its you`re subconscious playing with you one last time I think.... basically people will see what they want to see...... still doesn`t sound all that remarkable compared to some acid trips.``
SUBCONSCIOUS... is all there is dude... dyu think our flesh and bones matter????
quoting harimau
``Does this mean that all Muslims, regardless of their actions on earth, will be Allah-cated (should this perhaps be ``alley-catted``) the ration of 24 ghilmans and 72 houris? Has anyone returned from Jannat to report on the suggestion that the bottle of wine given to the deceased has a hole in the bottom whereas the houris don`t?``
THIS IS NOT ABOUT MUSLIMS. Getting rite down to the basics, the fight is all about the TWO forces: The GOOD and The BAD/EVIL.
Bible sez: ``And we created humans in our image``
HUmans r pictures of GOD dude... and as long as ure doing the rite thing... there aint no hell for u to worry about...
GOOD and BAD people. GOOD and BAD. Who r u with?

Oh well. There we go again !
(1) You got it. You can judge by the responses as to how much people know and understand or even want to know or understand. So, take my advice. Save your breath. You have a profound experience which very few have. Cherish it and keep it.
2) My experience was that the pain stopped when the heart stopped and I could bloody see my body from near the ceiling jumping six inches from the bed when they applied the defibrillators and I thought why the bloody hell are they doing that because the pain had stopped??? Do they want to start it again??? I could clearly see and hear the attendants shouting emergency standard procedures, and trolleys being rolled in, while I was observing the dust on top of an almirah in the enclosure. Then my son pulled apart the curtains and asked his Mom what`s happening to Abbu, and she pulled him back. An attendant brought a release form for her to sign and she didn`t know what it was for so they just asked her to sign so they could proceed as they were losing me. So she signed. Then they got out that large syringe. That`s the last I saw from near the ceiling. All this happened behind the curtains from where my body was.
All this was confirmed by my wife and the doctors later on.
The time before revival was 50 seconds. During the time the feeling is quite indescribable. I can only vaguely attempt to describe it which is perhaps not even a near description. I was swept through very rapidly through colours which I had never seen before. Warm, welcoming, enveloping. I remember those but cannot describe them. These were perhaps the limit of beuty. I carry those colours around with me all the time but can neither relive them nor describe them.
Then the light. Yes. The colours were perhaps the tunnel which most people describe, perhaps I perceived the colours more than I perceived the tunnel, but indeed it could have been transiting through a tunnel. And then the light.
When the light came, there was nothing but that half illimunated, half diffused, kind of soft vastness. It was half darkness and half light. Again indescribable. It was all around. And there was noone or nothing else. (you mentioned those dots of relatives/loved ones. Perhaps I didn`t stay long enough to see that). And the horizons of line of sight were limitless because there was nothing else. That`s why I described it like hanging alone in the universe. I say hanging because the place was fixed, not floating. I was stationary in my position.
What else. Lemme see. Yes i did have a feeling of God being around. You say that you felt God was behind you not in front. That is absolutely correct. I too didn`t see any God in front. But yes, there was something there. That I can say with some confidence. There definitely was something there. However the feeling I got at that point was that EVERYTHING was within me, including God. I felt that the entire universe, God, everything, was not seperate from my being, it was all within me while hanging alone in the universe. It was like a small particle encompassing all that I had seen and perceived till that moment.
This is it.
My first impule was to discard your post and not respond. Then I thought OK you are curious. Fine. It may be a chemical reaction of the brain coping with the stress of dying, or the spirit leaving the body and rejoining, or anything else the scientists and the phillistines will throw at you. I don`t know what it really is. But, my friend, this experience sure as hell knocks out all foundations of common belief from under your feet and you have to rebuild those foundations if you want to continue to cope with the silliness of it all.
Satisfied?
Bye.

… on such esoteric, subliminal hogwash issues like NDEs here are my 2 cents … the only time I have such mind boggling experiences is during sex … towards the very end …yes, I too see weird lights and fire works then ... and I too always manage to come back to life ...
... does this count?

Re: # 13
quoting from the article:
While most of the NDEs are reportedly “pleasant”, the flipside holds the “hellish” experiences where meetings with demons and sensations of being in a lake of fire are reported.
Yes, there are all sorts of meetings with ``Satan`` or ``The Devil Himself``, and hellish smoke and stuff that is utterly ``painful``, so to say. Hellish experiences occur, however the reported cases are less in number than the so-called ``pleasant`` ones. Here is a hint: Try and search through all material you can find on NDEs and you will know!!
The experiences described in this article are the ones that are MOST COMMONLY reported. It is all based on fact, not opinion. There are many more experiences that people have claimed going through while experiencing and NDE. The ONLY reason they have been removed, is their lack of consistency and frequency with which they occur.
However, any assumptions and/or opinions derived from this article are a matter of personal liking and choice.
Peace!!

How come not one of those persons with a near-death experience has reported darkness, the smell of sulphurous smoke, increasingly warmer temperatures and the sound of screams?
Is there no Hell?
Are we all going to be issued white togas and a lute upon death? Does this mean that all Muslims, regardless of their actions on earth, will be Allah-cated (should this perhaps be ``alley-catted``) the ration of 24 ghilmans and 72 houris? Has anyone returned from Jannat to report on the suggestion that the bottle of wine given to the deceased has a hole in the bottom whereas the houris don`t?
What exactly does one do with a ghilman? I think Chowk does not have a kid-sister rule (``Don`t write anything that you don`t want your kid sister to read``) so I would like a hint if not a description.

Re: # 10
Zeemax its somewhat comforting to know, you are not alone, who has gone through this experience,....It was a very strange , unexplainable thing, a darkness through which you can see everything, converging on a singularity......
People you knew , emerge as nothing but dot, colourfull dots, and you recognize them not by their features but by the color of their dots...All moving around in a pattern.
...... After I came out of Hospital after three months, I wanted to talk about it , But peeple around you were not willing to listen, even the doctors, ....and it was sort of embarrassing,
....then after three years , ....you find you are not alone in that experience,......those three years ......i have built a cocoon around me, insulated myself and NOW do not answer or try to explain to any one, untill now on the Chowk.
I have physicall remenants of that experience, I have lost an eye, and my right side has patches , in the beggining they were very hugh, almost covering half of my Back, now they have shrunk , and the only visible sign now left is the changed color of my eye, every Other remenant is hidden under my Cloths.
.... often I wake up, and recall every second of that experience, I wanted to have that experience again and again, it was very `` Peacefull ``. that is the only Word I can think of to describe it.
Zeemax if its not too personal can youTell me , about your expericence.......

``.....I found myself in front a very Hugh vastness.....

Interesting. Mine was almost identical. What you describe above, I recall pretty much as hanging alone in the universe.

Nice article to elucidate phenomena which is so much universal in our confined dreams.
May be it is if you have a sound sleep which comes very smoothly and the person is dead beat then the state of unconsciousness is so much dominant that it appears real. Sometimes it’s that much overwhelming that it needs strong will power to escape from that domain.
And many times a common example is that which I have talked with my peers and they also agree that they have also experienced it. During a deep sleep the body becomes so light as it is floating somewhere and there is no Gravity. But suddenly with the particular height it falls on where sleeping with a thump. The body experiencing all the sheer pressure , the strike as one falls from a height lying and the bed also responds in it has plunged on by something. It is a very realistic experience and god know where all the energies come and they act and react virtually making it happen pure physically.
Life after death could be a mere reception of of NDEs or not but it is scientifically proven that dead body’s eyes are awake for some time and they see with some time lash correspondence with brain. I think at that time the religious convictions of soul flight to god and viewing the heavenly objects in the way comes to play.

One of my friends had experiences with astral projection.
It was ofcourse, scary! He didn`t wanna sleep due to the fear of it.
I have no idea about either the biological or religious explainations to this, but I do agree that they have something in common with dreams.
One last thing, OBEs are also the experiences the saadho/durvesh etc people have when they are meditating veryyyy strongly. So they should not be unexplainable spiritually.

The only explanation I can think of is short supply of oxygen to brain. Many jet fighter pilots have recorded such experience while accelerating up and facing 5-6G force. Every thing else is plain bullshit.
