Strange, in legal ethics class we were taught that we can`t refuse a client and our job is to do our best for them. We are not here to judge their innocence or guilt but give them the best fight possible. I remember someone saying that they would refuse to defend a child molestor and being rebuked for the same.

If Gandhi squealed to the judge about his client, he wasn`t a very good lawyer, was he?

Arre baba, watch THE PRACTICE (early seasons only). All this has been dealt with there.

Going to court in India is a big joke anyway. Don`t even wish it on your worst enemy...

Both Abhishek Singhvi and the man he aspires to leave a lot to be desired by way of integrity...

I don`t wish to revisit the Gandhi discussion... but needless to say Singhvi is ditto copy of his hero.

re: there are those lawyers in a minority, whose doors are the first ones knocked at when you have run over and killed seven people, who can turn witnesses hostile and then morph a BMW into a truck. The actions of such lawyers attack and destroy the basis of Indian law.

..true but there are those types of lawyers everywhere, not just in India.
