Is that true?...that it is only OPTIONAL in Islam? And also, that the process does not cut off any skin? As I have read, it says that Abrahm had to offer a piece of flesh from own body as a proof of covenent. If nothing is removed, it does not count. But, the question still remains ... why this part of the body? Should we assume Abrahm was very smart in suggesting an unwanted part of the body and kind of fooled god?

If you ask me ...our ancestors were wise. They followed science even in those days. Look the facts are simple, hoodood is law in pakistan because people like you remain silent, you come up with excuses that Zia did it, and no one can do anything about it.

So many like the Bina shahs of chowks have written about , all the writings are always about blaming some one, Zia, Mushy you name it. No one takes responsibility and states taht it should be publicised, it should made clear to the world that honour killing is legal in pakistan.

I have never seen any one say that on chowk or for that matter in any puiblication. The story always is that honour killing is a tribal practice. The fact is that it is legal any where in pakistan.

No one has ever written about the murder of Samia Sarawr and ststed that the father who killed his daughter was never charged because no crime is comitted. Look tahmed, what I have pointed out is very different from corruption and implementation of the law.

Say, tahmed, tell the world that Samia Sarwars killers were not charged with any crime, not because of corruption, not because of any lack of evidence, but cecause honour killing is legal in pakistan

Jay, Now I think you make a good point where you mention that educated Pakistanis are not any different from educated Indians who should be proud of Delhi blasts, as it exposes the inability of NDFD (New Delhi Fire Department) as to how quickly they were on the scene with their state of the art water pipes. Do you know that their pipes looked (I watched CNN) thinner than an average wiener, and their firetrucks appeared to be made by Suzuki motors with 2 strokes engines that do 200 miles to a gallon. And this is a country that considers itself an Asian giant.

Educated Pakistani are indeed embarrassed about the misery and humiliation inflicted upon us at this time, but if an educated Indian’s pastime is to ridicule educated Pakistanis, then I guess you have a point.

There is call for help going out, in sadam`s iraq it was ignored explicity, for pakistan the world has turned a deff ear
