Whenever there is any hope of betterment of relations between India and Pakistan, and whenever people of both countries see some hope, these type of violent activities escalate.Clearly, there are forces who don`t want normalization...but who are they?
who want this area to remain under turmoil? That is the main question, which need to be addressed by goverments on both sides.

Drolakraj,
Delhi blasts have nothing to do with improvement of relations. It is all about the sentencing of the pak nationals. It is the same forces that organised the hijack have done this. This man also is high up in the pak jihadi-isi group, and thsi is a warning to india. The man released by the hijackers is now a respected leader in pakistan, another one went on to kill daniel pearl, but was released by pakistan.
Stop tyhis crap about peace process, this is organised by pak -isi and jihadis, just like the hijack

Return of Tanweer,
Tanweer was the london bombing mastermind, born and brought up in UK. I(mmediately after the blats chowk was agog, claiming that it was local terrorism, not linked to pakistan. Tanweer father also is a UK national.
In death, the truth has come out, the values that Tanweer stood for found a resonance with pak govt, though a UK citizen, father a UK citizen, Tanweer was brought back with pak govt support. A country that can ban its own citizens from the country, Bhutto for example, has organised the state buriel of a foreign national. Reason, well is so simple, it is what is all about TNT, and no educayed pakistani can deny that. It is the educated of pakistan, in the pak govt that organised the return of Tanweer, no live pakistani can enter pakistan with out govt support, let alone a dead one.

Humsab,
Thanks fro teh welcome. This is a short stint, no point in continuing, the same old tahmeds and romairs, the same views. No new interpretations of reality, as I usually contribute, like the importance of Tanweer in the psyche.
Tanweer is very important for pakistan, and represents the mayuring of the TNT to a global scene, a truth that the educated pakistanis will deny. In any case, Iraquisation of pakistan is the only option for the world, and the new indo-US cooperation is aimed at that. It will be upto india to stop the scurge of p.

Learning from the earth quake,
Educated pakistanis have a lot to learn from the earth quakes, what the world thinks of them.
Hardly any money has been committed to pakistan, it is all low quality blankets and tents and tarpaulins. What is real is the more than 1000 US troops and equal number of NATO troops in kashmir. That is what the world is interested in, occupation of pakistan, to clean it out, and earth quake is any day better than invasion.
World is interested in remodeling pakistan, killing of the jihadis, and nato on afghanistan knows that the taliban are coming from POK, that is where the jihadic training camps are, adn that is why the US and NATO troops are there.

Jay seems to have enraged the literate (but uneducated) mullahs like godot and ylh
for stating basic facts.
Here is more evidence of the nature of the land of the pure....
Look at the evidence the ``authorities`` are asking:
‘Get four pious witnesses to prove ....`

godot ...
I missed a few words out in that sentence...
Satyamwada...
If combatting Hindu fanatics makes one a Mullah then so be it.

Ozer,
Some one requested that I look over this article too. I did and I am disappointed in the storyline. For a nanosecond, after looking at the title of this piece, I thought they pulled a Nagasaki on Delhi. I like that decadent city; been there and was able to pick up girls like crazy.
The city is so ugly and dirty inside that you can’t walk around there without covering your nose. There are all kinds smells that follow you every where you go. In a sense, I was pleased to learn from the title that the city is no more and that they would probably rebuild it without all those bhiyyas and Punjabis in there. These two groups, as you very well know, have very limited understanding of a civilized life and despise all kind of rules. The only exceptions are people from Pindi and Islamabad. There are no exception for bhiayas from UP. They have just plain flat-out horrible manners and think that this world is made for spitting that horrible red color from their mouths. I still can’t understand why they even eat red color for food. It may be just some Indian thing.
Anyway, moving right along, your exaggeration of what happened is Delhi reminded me of typical Bhiyyas who would go on and on spinning stories out of no where. In Pakistan, we refer these people as Chorroo or braggart. They have no sense of truth and just think that they can spin anything and people would believe them. They had us fooled in 1947, when they first came over from India in trainloads and told us that they owned poodina kay bagh in India and Hindus have taken over them. We did not know what poodina was so we believed them. Once we gave them houses to live, we found out they were all jollahay or kabari. Some were found stealing Railway Engine parts to pay for their expensive habit of eating that red color and now whole Sindh is red.
You wrote quiet extravagantly:
“Bloodstained streets and mangled bodies of innocent mothers and children are all menacingly spread on the ground with their arms apart.”
I almost had a heart attack. I thought everybody in Delhi died a horrible death and their body parts are splattered all over the place. Then I started thinking; is there anyone I know in Delhi? I thought I may have to send some condolence messages or probably will have to offer fateha for them. Finally, I remembered my friend Rajiv’s parents lived in Delhi. So I called and told him how sorry I was about his parents’ death in Delhi in an atom bomb attack. He was totally taken back and was perplexed to learn about his parents` death from me. I told him that I read the story at Chowk and one Ozer who visited Delhi right after the nuke blasts wrote about your parents’ death. Well! Now he is looking for you with some heavy metal in hands. He may also be looking for the Chowk editors for publishing lies about his parents.
Can you tell me what does this para means?
“The blasts have sparked off foreseeable qualms throughout Delhi, shattering a festive atmosphere. Media vultures and nationalistic ethnic bigots on the wrong end of political spectra will be rhetorically ricocheting religio-nationalistic venom across various foray to notch up cross-border apprehension.”
Rest of your piece sucks as they are celebrating diwali there and would be celebrating methi eid too. Luckily, it is not Barri Eid or the Muslims would be killing some cows to celebrate some Hindu deaths. It is common in India. Hindus celebrate Muslims death and Muslims reciprocate when Hindus die.
Please don’t try writing a piece about an incident w/o knowing the area well!

Ozer, {``Delhi-ite Diwali festivities with their flickering candles took a sobering thump as the glittering saris and citizenry are interposed with a panic-stricken dyslexia. Fireworks and firecrackers are igniting every few seconds with a hitherto unseen poignant prudence. Many would-be revelers sagaciously heeded the government`s caveat to stay within their safer sanctuaries.``}

Ozer, you are a powerful writer. Please accept my admiration for your brilliant style of writing. Too bad your passion for effective writing concerned this horrible and unjustified act of murder. I agree with you that terrorism has a nasty way of spoiling everything we like in our mortal world. One sick bomber and another person sick of living a good life can end it all for many of us. To top it off, these ghouls have the audacity to make phone calls and acknowledge their crime for the glory of Islam.
We keep saying that a few rotten apples do not represent all Muslims. The problem is that the rot is more wide-spread than we realize and too many people are turning into apple sauce thanks to the rotten apples. The best way to end this farce is to recognize the problem as a Muslim problem, apprehend the culprits from among our ranks, and bring them to Islamic justice - swiftly and assuredly.

the spine of Delhi
ghastly wake
aberrantly unambiguous metropolis
Gaudy neon lights
Rattled citizens
a flashlight fever
flickering candles
sobering thump
glittering saris and citizenry are interposed with a panic-stricken dyslexia hitherto unseen poignant prudence
revelers sagaciously heeded the government`s caveat to stay within their safer sanctuaries
........... AND THE WINNER IS ??????????
glittering saris and citizenry are interposed with a panic-stricken dyslexia hitherto unseen
