Hamidm bro, let's be civil for a minute, shall we? I know you're not really anti-Pakistan or anti-Pushtun/Afghan, but want their resistance to GWOT stop beacuse it is fcking up your lifestyle. If you carefully read Pavo's article, he is telling you exactly how it can stop ... but you continue spewing venom about an innocent but fiercely independent people who do not accept foreign occupation under any circumstances.

Re your subject statement "we in pakistan don't really have much to give ....", it shows your total ignorance of modern finance, which is probably not your fault because you're some sort of a widget peddler. Nowadays, you don't need to come up with cash from your own pocket, but raise the same from international markets through securitized and tradeable instruments.

One easy way is Pakistan to issue Credit Default Swaps (an insurance policy) underwriting Afghan bonds - secured by Pakistan's FX reserves, or even future FX receivables - float these too on the market and let the bond investors hold them, charge Afghanistan an annual fee for the arrangement, take collateral from Afghanistan in the form of floating charges over say custom duty earnings or transit-trade commodities through Pakistan, and station its experts to monitor the projects.

If there's sufficient political will in Pakistan to clear Afghanistan of NATO and to help it stand on its feet, it can be done.
