There was a group of 9-10 US Embassy personnel who had arrived in bullet-proof vehicles with local number plates but with wind-shield stickers showing the diplomatic numbers. One was killed (a Turkish woman working in the Embassy), 7 injured - two critically. Four who were conscious insisted on being taken to US embassy instead of the hospital, while US security took over the Shifa Hospital where they were taken. The bomb was either tossed over the rear wall into the open air seating area in the lawn from the back alley, or had been planted beforehand. Former seems more likely.

Well ... looks like Islamabad is no longer half an hour from Pakistan.
