Dear Farzana

Please let me begin by assuring you that no malice was intended when I referred to your editorship as having something to do with temporal`s departure. I personally think your editorship was very good for Chowk and I have stated that both publicly and in private. Also, I consider you a friend and feel quite a fondness for you both as a writer and what little I know of you as a person.

I am taken aback by your reaction that obviously I`ve provoked with an innocent remark. If one was to guess, a plausible assumption might go something like this: both you and temporal were eligible for editorship and there was a competative rivalry which formed the basis of some dosagreement. I don`t know if something like this was going on. It is a mere speculation. But your strong reaction to my statement in #6 tells me that there is a greater degree of acramony than a mere healthy professional rivalry would engender.

I do not know what goes on in ``unplugged`` because I`ve visited that cesspool on only four or five occasions ever. And certainly not even once in the past three years. Maybe there is some interactions in unplugged that I am unaware of which explain your displeasure. Be as it may, I am really sorry that in my ignorance I`ve seemingly touched a raw nerve.

Hopefully someone wiser will be able to set this matter right, that is, if it needs setting right at all.

Just FYI

He is very much alive and (perhaps) well at his own site as well as at this other site now that he`s exiled himself from Chowk. I`m not sure about the intricate details, but his seemingly permanent departure from Chowk had something to do with Farzana`s Editorship.
