Castism is foreign to Islam so is superior inferior .If you call egoism of Jinnah as psychilogical complex how would you explain equal desire to be the P.M. of free india by Sardar & Nehru ????????
I can throw in a theory like Naqvi from my side that they were far too long dying to come out o there slave persecution COMPLEX of 1000 yrs of Muslim rule & 300-4000 yrs of Firangi slavery !!!!!!

Do you actually read the articles you post? Dr. Sen`s article is far from an apologia for muslim rule in SA. He merely remarks that whereas Aurangzeb was a islamist tyrant, Akbar was a broad minded ruler free of religous bigotry. and that both were muslim kings.
Akbar legacy is widely celebrated throughout India and by all indians. BTW, recently the Delhi Municipal Corporation announced a revitalization of the red fort area. The spruced up area will be renamed Dara Shikoh Park, another broad-minded and liberal indian.

If you talk to Sanghi Parivar who mind you are the most vocal ruling majority with 33% of opion poll of 850 million of majority community thee views are even oposite to that of you .

Problem is if it was Mauritius or Secheyles islamd with 1 million minority &4 million hindu majority it would not be of importence either ways BUT 15 % of minority is no less than 150 million (1/2 the population of total USA)
What Dr,Sen consistently has been speaking about since his prominence after Nobel in 2000 like true secularist.He doesnt bother about subjects that he sees inhis vision of modern India is of no consequence being a visionary .He dioes think Babri is even worth talking about althoug he is culturally Hindu & perhaps better one than MOdi Advani & Vajpayee.
He is realist b/c despitebeing inwst fror such long time he spends now great amountof time in Bengal rural areas which we all know lacks western amenities.Only few people i have seen even among much lesser person than Dr.Amartya Sen would have downto earth attitude not practiced by the average Joe NRI doctor /Engineer ?/ITSoft ware show off !Thank You FAISALANO for posting Dr.Amartyasd article & bring more of his published work & you will never be dissapointed like other jumping Jack inconsistent Indians.

IITs have a lot to be proud of. They raise a lot of hardworking kids from middle and lower middle class to be a technical elite. They have created a global brand. They have instilled an identity in the students.If your main criteria is Academic score & govt controlled admission process in which there is no choice of preference except to drop out we see such instituions in Russia & china & other erstwhile Communist east european like Romania & East Germany produce Champions of the world in Olympics. If govt moulds you for somthing EVENRUSSIA WERE ATY TIMES AHEAD OF USA inSPACE & other nuclear armament !!!

Let us not belittle the achievement of the Indian woman astraunaut. She is self-made and came thr` a stiff competetion. GOI did not play any role in her achievements (GOI did send an Indian Astranaut to space with Soviet help many years ago). She says she was inspired by JRD Tata`s first flight from Bombay to Karachi in the 30s.
On the same note, another Indian woman is in news. President of Pepsico Indra Nooyi:

I was not down playing anybodies individual achievement but i didnt like the collective bragging right of the people who have not even remotely associated with them
Also its not totally insignificant THAT BOTH THESE GALS ARE MARRIED TO CAUCASIANS IN THE MILITARY .
Spouse of Caucasians are considered more American than just vanilla naturalised Americans& privy to taken in confidence by the establishment having proven there rites of passage.

Dissatisfied with the slow pace of reforms, red-tapism, lack of stable policies and regulatory framework, US multinationals are preferring other markets like China and Malaysia for their investments over India, according to a survey, reports PTI.
Seeking further liberalisation and quick pace of reforms to invite higher level of FDI in the country, US companies operating in India have expressed extreme dissatisfaction on infrastructure, political and economic governance and are maintaining a cautious approach regarding investments.
