Look at the statistics. Marriage simply doesn`t work.

Even the pitch at Lord`s is a 280. Whats a 20 more for Karachi? The no-balls and the wides inflated the score, not the pitch, anyways not to the extent some would have us believe.
They tried to get an Essex curator in to do some work, but I think thats not been done very well.

The pitch was not that bad. The batsmen are just better. The yorkers and the slow balls worked, the spinners got some turn and were not hit that hard. Even the pitch at Lord`s is a 280. Memory and other Poems
``He walked my sister to her kindergarten
and bought her chocolates.
He named me and because I hardly cried
Through illnesses called me the patient one.
But I only know this because my mother told me.
When he died my mother cried for six months
And held us close..
I only saw his face in black and white photos,
A swarthy looking man who looked
A little like my youngest uncle. ``
Quite moving.

Nicely done. Excellent effort. ``He walked my sister to her kindergarten

And held us close..

On rsridhar, rsridhar, we all pray that you will be kissed by the front of a speeding train.
We will win. Pakistan is a great fighting unit. The Indians have tried to make teams before. They look good on paper; look even better in commercials.
Pakistan has what it takes. Ganguly will be put to the sword at Gaddafi. This is war. Its been planned good. The traps have been set for the Indians.
#60 by Wahrheit ->``not quite true`` on Paki insult.
Paki is an insult, you are wrong to say that it not. Its used on the Indians more than on Pakistanis, I might add. Common use of an insult still leaves it as an insult.
#47 by ironman -> ``As for the pakis...I`m yet to see even a 6-footer paki in the US. I think they have the `frightened cat` syndrome.``

``pakis`` is an impolite swear word. It really is. Pakistani is proper and good, so is the word Indian but `Paki` is bad slang straight from the ghetto. Am I wrong?

Careful there pilgrim you wouldn’t want to get onto a cricket match with me. ;)
There is a time lag in the post thats written and posted here. Anyways, Germany versus England in football, in 1966 the English supporters chanted `two world wars and a world cup`. Argentina versus England in football is always good and fierce. Iran vs America back in the late 90`s was a cracker too. This is good popcorn. Great entertainment. Violence off the pitch for the sake of sport is a bit off. Pub brawls and stone throwing, I concede is bad. Lets hold on to sportsman spirit. But apart from that it`s war. And it should be. Pakistan will win. Long live Pakistan!
#43 by chaltahai -> ``dirtier is right that cricket is and should be tied to politics but his logic is flawed``
Well for this series it may seem that CBMs and exchanges need to take place. But otherwise, on the pitch aggression coupled with strategic planning is war. Oh I just thought of the English audience at Lord`s. The MCC. Well, of course it`s a bit hard to get that type of cricket appreciating fans in the sub continent. Australian fans are quite civil too. I think it boils down to the socio economic background of the spectators. Imran Khan says that ``even those people who don`t follow cricket follow an Indo-Pak series`` he means that it is because of the warrior rivalry between the two countries. Cricket in this series is an extension of war.
It`s beautiful. Wonderful. Pakistan will win. Pakistan is a good fighting unit. It has a lot of grit and strength. It`s hungry for a win. It will win. Long Live Pakistan!
{Hey come on, get in the mood, these types of series are rare. If I say India should lose etc etc then that would be crude and improper. But lets be happy and aggressive. Competitive sport is all about this.}

Valentine’s Day
The Saudis need to chill. Tradition and orthodox culture is good. But the Saudis need to cool down a little bitty bit. Whats gotten into them?

Man you need some help. I would. But see someone about this. Some documentaries on PBS are not bad. Maybe make some ethnic minority friends. `hope this doesn`t offend you. The rest of you seems great. Nicely articulated thought in the posts.

Please maritimer22, come on. Its war. Thats what it is. And its beautiful. This is good stuff. So many sacrifices have been made over the years. Why should they be put behind? Why? There is no reason not to mix this up with chilli. This is good curry. Mix it up. This is war. And Pakistan is going to win. Long live competitive sport.

The Complexities of Playing With India
If India win, then, we will have to work harder for the 2005 series. Competitive sport is all about winning. We want to win. We will.
Be fiercely patriotic, don`t get lost in politeness. This is the continuation of war by other means.
Ask the Kashmiris at the Srinagar Stadium near Dal lake listening to cricket commentary, who cheered Pakistan`s win in 1989. Take Vajpayee`s symbolism in 2003 when he made a speech at the same spot announcing the retreat of military forces from the border.
Competitive sports is a good thing. Winning is important. We are not brown `beggars` `fighting` over cricket with the rest of the world laughing at us, as a misguided, inferiority complex ridden person insinuated in an earlier post.
Cricket is wonderful. There is so much thinking and strategic planning. It`s amazing stuff. Long live competitive sport and may Pakistan win resoundingly. Stop saying that Cricket is not related to politics. It is. It is tied with politics and war. It should be. This is good. Keep it this way. I want Pakistan to win. Pakistan will. Come what may.
{Chowk staff - please let this through. I am a Pakistan supporter. And I love it when we win. Cheers.}

No Indian captain has survived after losing on Pakistani soil. Since `52 all have had to lose their crown on return to India. Ganguly will be put to the sword at Gaddafi. Dhaka and Siachin will be avenged once more. If India win, then, we will have to work harder for the 2005 series. Competitive sport is all about winning. We want to win. We will.

Heard that, Saif El Islam Alqadhafi (the one who doesn`t play football - his brother, Al-Saadi plays football) was influenced by his crowd at LSE. He eventually went quite some way into influencing Gaddafi. Kids. I dont think that Pakistan was `stabbed in the back by Libya`, the knife just happened to be somewhere on the floor and Pakistan fell on the knife and somehow managed to stab itself. Yes. Thats what Pakistanis do you know. It doesn`t take much for them to get into trouble.{Please chowk moderators allow my post through, you dont accept nor reject my posts, please stop doing that. :) }

Good poem. I don`t know why the poem reminds me of Seinfeld? (marine biologist? did someone say marine biologist?) - Lord_Dirtier
