Suicide blast kills five at Pakistan army camp PESHAWAR, Pakistan, March 20 (AFP): A suicide car bomber attacked a Pakistan army base in Wana, the main town in South Waziristan district Thursday, killing at least five soldiers and wounding a dozen others, officials said. “It was a suicide attack. Five troops lost their lives and a dozen others were wounded,” a local security official told AFP requesting anonymity. “An army truck, some cars and soldiers were stationed at the gate of the camp and the bomber rammed his vehicle into them and blew himself up,” the official said. Another official confirmed his account of the attack. An army spokesman said they were investigating a blast targeting troops in Wana, but did not give details.
