Wonderful story telling; touching story.
(Didn`t I tell ya you needn`t worry about losing your talent, even if it takes on a new form?)

Gee your family is a many-splendoured thing!
Would love to see the documentary when its ready.

I second all the positive feedback you have recieved for your moving piece. I am very interested in the documentary your planning, please do keep us once it is complete.

Contemplation of our selves is what this artical provokes, which is pertinent and necessary on the eve of the New Year.

Happy New Year to you and everyone :)

Peace...

A beautiful and moving piece....Maybe you can incorporate his life/death into the film you are planning...How he saw life and how it affected the people around him...
May God bless him and your family....

Shandana:
A beautiful piece of writing. It reminded me of ``Dozkhi`` which Ismet Chughtai had written in loving memory of her deceased brother.

Shandana,

May God bless your uncles soul, and give you guys peace and strength to move forward. Ameen. Death often is a catalyst for renewal not only for the departed persons soul, that moves on to new pastures, but for the ones left behind, as we try to fill an unfillable gap, we become closer and learn new strategies and ways to cope and to move forward.

I know our religion doesn`t permit women to go to the funeral (tho i think in some places it does) my aunt found a sense of closure by visiting my uncles grave a few days after the funeral.

Please keep on writing, your articles are lovely to read and i look forward to your documentary.

Lots of love and prayers
A
