I feel sorry for the author`s type who tries to seek acceptance in a country like Pakistan. For that matter, for those Bangladeshis and Nepalese who crawl over in the night and try to pass themselves off as Indians. Jaan hee hai toh go to the US and at least get a good life for yourselves. Loosars!

To Madaam Aarya, Hindvi and others

First of all my statements were directed towards the author. The author feels somewhat guilt consciousness, because one of her dad’s friend had named her Aarya. I do understand the author’s profound concerns and fears because the name “Aarya” is attributed or linked with Hindu religion. I had a report in a reputed Indian Newspaper that in a Islamic country Like Pakistan, Hindu Names are not only disliked but the remaining few Hindu names had been renamed or re-Islamicized. For eg Ram Nagar in Karachi has been renamed as Iqbal Nagar. The same thing is about Kishen Nagar. All this above report which has appeared in Indian Newspaper sounds somewhat true. As Irfan Hussian, Pakistan’s noted journalist put’s it, “Pakistanis are always concerned about the plight of Urdu in Neighbouring India, but if you ask them about the state of Hindi in their country, there will be silence on their part. I still remember there was a time when Hindi was considered as a Language of Dushman (Enemey). Any one teaching, learning or writing Hindi (Devnagiri Script) was considered a Traitor and declared a Anti National. However for the past few years this attitude has slightly changed in your country. A few Universities in your country do teach Hindi Lanugage in Islamabad. Earlier only the older Generation of people use to attend but now people from all walks of life do attend.

I had watched most of Shah Rukh Khan’s films and read quite a lot about him about his family background, his fame, his sucess. He started his carrier with a TV serial “Fauji’. Although Shah Rukh was born in Delhi, his family comes from Peshawar. His father Taj and his uncle Ghulam M. Gama used to stay in Old Peshawar before the Partition of India. His father was a lawyer and imprisoned for several years in Pakistan. His ancestral Home is Peshawar is like a tourist spot and shown to Tourists visiting Peshawar He is a resident of Bandra, Bombay. He owns a huge Bunglow called “Mannat”, a heritage item. He also has plans to construct a Shopping Mall near his Bunglow.

I do not know if the topchi of the Marathas during the last battle of Panipat was a pathan or not but he was a Muslim. When he was captured by the forces of Durrani (?), he was offered to be released by his captors if he deserted the kafirs and switched to their side. He refused, saying that he was not going to desert his own people for foreigners.

U have written that Aryans were cruel warriors. Well I don’t know from where u got that about. But I can u give a list of Afghan kings well known for invasion, loot, murder, plunder eg (the Ghaznis). Your statements are nothing but a reflection of Pakistan’s highly disorted History textbooks. Some days ago I read a article about Pakistan History Text books in the “TIMES OF INDIA”. Some of the historical facts are as, Jews and Christians were money lenders, Hindus were blood Thirsty. Before Islam people were living in despair. Words like ?dark?, ?ugly? and ?short? are used to describe Hindus while Muslims are presented in glowing terms. Atrocities committed by Muslim invaders are glossed over while those by Hindu and Sikh invaders magnified. Invasions led by Muslims are justified as having been necessary for the expansion of Islam whereas Hindu-led invasions are depicted bleakly. Hindus are also reported as having colluded with the English to suppress the Muslims, according to these books. Valuable and rare books of Muslims were transported to Britain and thus, as per plan, the Muslim educational system was ruined.? Replacement of Persian with English as the official language is also cited as an example of the Hindu-English campaign against Muslims. ?The English also replaced the Islamic law with Common Law. This made the Muslims on the judiciary redundant. And they were replaced by Hindus,? read the books. ?

The account i have stated came from Victoria schofield`s book on Kashmir, it is standard reading material on south asia modules at most North American universities. while it could be inaccurate most facts presented in the book are foot noted and indexed and so can be cross checked. I dont know about Mahajan`s account. since he was an interested party i would take it with a pinch of salt.

it is true that our leaders had flaws and made mistakes but this endears them all the more to me, for it is human to be imperfect.
