jayp: You have been attributing views to me that, when challenged, you have failed to back with anything I wrote. I normally would not have anything to do with a proven liar, caste-conscious, half-brained bigot like you.
This once let me tell you something, you hindutva freak: Go back and read posts I wrote not in response to your crap, but at my own initiative. And not just now, but for years on chowk. This is what you will find I have written not once but several times on chowk in earlier posts: All of kashmir is not worth one single life, Indian or Pakistan, civilian or military
Now you can go to hell.

yahmed,
If you honestly believe that the kashmiri terrorists actions cannot be supported as the book approved jihad, why cant you make a post right now and state your views publically.
That would be sign of honesty and conviction in your beliefs. Other wise you are simply a closet jihadi, never daring to make an opinion different from the jihadis.

Re: # 8,
I tend to agree with your comments about the definition of 'innocence' in Islam but I believe it's not Islam which is the hurdle but it is the orthodox thinking which is to be blamed. Islam is discriminating at times – why don’t we Muslims accept it! We need to progress but how? Who makes the rules? Who reforms? When there are many sects claiming to be the righteous?
Regarding Salman Rushdie, I think most of the people criticize Rushdie without actually reading – what he wrote . Okay, even if what he wrote was bad – then why counter it with burning his books?
At a same time – there is a valid argument of certain laws in the West regarding the Holocaust – I condemn that too. Two wrongs can not make one right.

#11 jayp: in other words, you fail to meet my challenge to back what you claim are my views with anything I wrote, and are thus proven (once again) as a shameless liar.

tahmed 9
For the pak media, for the laskers and for the ISI, kashmir is a fair jihad and the pakistanis have been silent on this. Am I to presume that tahmed is the only pakistani against this view. definitely not and you are part of the silent majority that share the pak govt views.
It is up to you to state that you disagree with the dominant pak discourse, and as far as I have know you have not done that.
I rest my case.

oklha: thanks for your words of support in #7. this is not the first time this man has lied about my views. Lying and stupidity seem to come together as a package it seems.
#9 Posted by tahmed32 on September 16, 2007 2:11:37 pm
jayp: you freely present as my views things that you cannot back by anything I have written. And indeed things that that are often the opposite of what I have written.
This makes you a liar. But you have been lying for 10 years on chowk. So this is news only to the newer posters.
If you wish to prove that you are not lying in #8 wrt to "views" you attribute to me, I challenge you to cut and paste anything I have written the past several years on chowk to back your claims. And this is not the first time you have lied about my views. Only a fool like you thinks that he can achieve anything with such lies.

okhala,
A statement like innocents should not be killed in islam can be easily accepted. But the problem is what is innocent in islam.
Most pakistanis and even the ilks of tahmed will agree that killing the indian troops in kashmir is fair jihad.
The notion of innocence in islam is defined by what mullah says, there is no "judicial' process.
Take the case of salman rushdie, all the muslims including tahmed beleives that salma is not innocent.
So the likes of you telling that innocnets should not be killed in islam is whitewashing of the real nature of islamic values.
It is people like you that sustain any kind progressive ideas in islam by denying the truth about islam.

Jayp, Arjun, BJK & others,
Tahmed, like most other rational folk, would not support killing of innocent civilians in the name of Jehad.
It is time you got out of this blind hatred towards Pakistan and all things that your prejudiced mind can associate with Pakistan.

jayp #3 so "sacrificing goats" might help make plane fly, and doesnt do any harm?? ha! ha!
and dont try to twist things by implying that hindus dont indulge in criminal behavior as well as superstitious behavior in the name of religion, including killings. And hinduism is unique among religions in adding insult to injury of social inequities by saying that the poor are "achoot" because they were bad in their previous incarnation while those in power are "high caste" brahmins, kshatryias etc. because they were good and pious in their previous incarnation!!
Last post to you. Go to hell, you lying, Pakistan-obsessed freak.

India had the misfortune of having the media gagged during the infamous emrgency imposed by Indira Gandhi. We remember, to protest censorship, once Indian Express was printed with entire columns white (the paper chose not to publish the item rather than print the govt doctored version.

Not from a pak news paper. Contrast this with teh contribution of pakistan to afghanistan
Away from the security and normalcy of their homes, over 100 doctors from India are busy nursing the sick and the wounded in Afghanistan.
Cardiologists, general physicians, orthopaedics, paediatricians and radiologists from all over India have made strife-torn Afghanistan their new, even if temporary, homes.
Paediatrician RK Singh has been stationed at the Institute of Child Health in Kabul for 11 months now. “The hospital was built by the Indian government in 1971 and run by a team of doctors from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) till the Taliban took over.”
“After 2001, Indian doctors returned. Now we have six doctors in Kabul and nine more in the cities of Heart, Kandahar, Jalalabad and Mazhar e Sharief,’’ Singh told HT.
Post-Taliban, what began as an Indian government initiative spread to the private sector. “Max, Escorts and Apollo have opened branches in Kabul in collaboration with local players. The Hyderabad-based Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) set up the first MRI laboratory in the private sector here last month,’’ said an Indian Embassy official.

tahmed,
aircraft and goats.
A nepales aircraft had a lot of system problems which teh traditional methods did not fix. They sacrificed a goat and teh problems went away. What has happend is simple, the goat being killed by a butcher was killed by a priest and the meat was shared, nothing unusual, and a good thing, and as a byproduct teh aircraft became good. It si iimmaterial whether the aircraft effect can be explained by traditional methods or not, no harm has been done to any one.
To me there is nothing wrong with it.
Now take the case of a jihadi, flys the aircraft into a building hoping that islam will rule the world. This has done harm to people and did not deliver the goods. This type of beliefs are to be condemned and are you ready to do that

Taimur,
I do agree the media reports are good, and some truth is coming out about the barbaric nature of teh tribals.
The 300 hundred soldiers were captured at night, when they were resting. So terrible for the pak army, after running teh WAPDa and the cement companies, the pak soldiers are used to their sleeping times and how bad for teh tribals not to have recognized this.
Form jang of today
The sources said the soldiers had been held in Mir Ali subdivision of the volatile North Waziristan Agency. The soldiers were asleep inside the check-post after performing duty when a large number of armed militants besieged their post and kidnapped them.

Timur sahib it was not kargil but the Agra trip which got the general interested in TV. The indian media loved him as a story and he loved the camera and showmanship.
