At last, Karzai's concerns have been heeded to. Pak army has launched a brutal offensive against the 'terrorists'.

Jang editorial of today. Read the educated of pakistan, is it a country worth defending, even on chowk
//////////////////////////////////////////
As for the grisly drama seen in Bajaur on Friday, reports suggest that as many as 5,000 people may have gathered about 10 kilometres to the west of Khar to watch the public murder of two Afghan nationals who had been found guilty of spying for the Americans. They were found guilty by a local jirga working as a Sharia court and we must assume that it is unlikely that either man had the benefit of representation by a defence lawyer. It is said they confessed their 'crime' but we do not know by what means their confession was extracted, though we may assume that violence played a part in their admission of guilt. Once the men had been murdered to the obvious satisfaction of the onlookers their severed heads were paraded for all to see, prompting an enthusiastic outbreak of aerial firing which left a couple more dead and several seriously wounded.

Mr.Ather Naqvi and others who are criticising Karzai statement are living in denial and not reading the writing on the wall.Look at this report published in Paki news paper ''NEWS'' today,open ur eyes and think positively,if you think it will not happen in Punjab then u r living in fools paradise,once ignorant talibans take control of ur major cities then just remember the days when TALIBAN were in control of KABUL.Its amazing that powerful paki army and ISI who control these millitants is totally ignoring this situation,there is no way that military can't get and kill these fanatics,thugs and criminals.These fanatics wants people live in stone age,these ignorant criminals think girls should not be educated,its time for liberals in Paki society to speak out.Please read this news item::
''State of siege ''
6/26/2008
The report that the historic town of Peshawar could fall to militants is obviously terrifying. Worse still, it seems that despite meetings between the chief minister, top military officers stationed in the city and the adviser on interior, no one is ready to defend the city against a possible onslaught by the militant militias that stand ranged all around it. The foray by forces who took away 16 Christians recently from a locality in the heart of the city shows just how vulnerable it is. It is believed that militants, who have scored a series of victories in operations across the northern areas, may just make an attempt to seize Peshawar. The fall of the city, analysts believe, will bring other districts across the NWFP toppling down before militants as well. The resurgence of these forces is evident everywhere. After several weeks of calm, conflict between security troops and the local Taliban has been reported from Swat, where ten people have been killed. Indeed, each day stories come in of new aggression and new acts of brutality by these crazed men who wield automatic weapons and believe that Islam means burning down schools, attacking video shops or beheading people they suspect of collusion with the government.
The extent to which Peshawar, the once peaceful entry point to the northern areas, has changed over the last decade or so is also terrifying. Music, once integral to the culture of the city, has been banned. Folk artistes have been forced into penury, shops selling instruments destroyed. Women on some campuses have been forced into veils; many fear leaving their houses unescorted; schools for girls have been threatened and the relaxed traditions of bazaars where people sipped their tea in the many 'chai houses' dotted across them has given way to one of suspicion and anger.
The threat to Peshawar of course exposes the ineptness of government policy. Under Musharraf's 'enlightened moderation', even as the US declared him a key ally against terror, militancy grew everywhere. The new government has failed, despite some efforts, to do very much about it. Things in the FATA areas appear to be tumbling out of control – and the possibility of Taliban forces driving through Peshawar in trucks now stares us in the face. There is, quite obviously, no time to lose. If militancy is to be defeated, the strategies to do so must be put in place now. There is no space left to fumble or to ponder, and as a first step, a plan to defend Peshawar must be devised immediately before it is too late to prevent the frenzied armies of extremists marching in on the city.

Militants kill 22 rival tribesmen
By Alamgir Bhittani
TANK, June 25: Pro-Baitullah Mehsud militants killed 22 rival tribesmen in Jandola the day after kidnapping them, an official said on Wednesday.
They belonged to the Niamatkhel clan of the Bhittani tribe and were captured in clashes with militants on Monday.
Officials estimated that militants had kidnapped 30 people and eight were still missing.
Barkatullah Marwat, District Coordination Officer of Tank, told Dawn that bodies of the victims had been retrieved from Kari Wam and Sor Ghar areas. All of them were buried later.
A spokesman for Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Maulvi Umar, claimed responsibility for the killings, saying the fate of the eight people still in their custody would be decided by members of the Shura.
/////////////////////////////
The paki military has withdrawn from teh tribal areas, and there will be one surviving jihadi group. Once that happens, it will be B52 time. remeber the good old paki predictiosn about tora bora, teh days of alexander etc etc.. not many can survive when B52s unload. The good old days were man to man combat where the local terrain knowledge matters. Luckily, the daisy cutters mak no distinction.

Where are the pakistanis,
At last pakistanis seem to have quit chowk, disgusted and ashamed of their own country, they have chosen to vanish into thin air.
Waht has been said on chowk is slowly sinking into them, all pakistanis are openly talking about disintegration of pakistan, fall of peshawar, largescale suicide bombings, and the final invasion of FATA by teh US forces.
Any paki with some self respect and has interacted on chowk abusing the indians should be curling up and praying to allah to releive him of thsi missery called life.
I recommend that allah give them jihadic heaven.

Khyber,
"If you don't do it then someone else will take care of it,when that someone else will take care they will be marching on your streets.Its the fault of ISI AND CIA who hired and trained these millitants and make em fight against soviets."
Why ISI or the establishment of Pakistan caved in to American and British pressure? Was it due to a mistaken understanding that they will hlep in sustaining Pakistan, snatching Kashmir and conquering India? Why Pakistan would like to hurt and destroy India? Why slogan of Haske Lenge Pakistan and Ladke Lenge Hindusthan? Is it the Islamic mindset? Which suras in Koran builds this mindset? Genuine questions! Please answer calmly. Address the root cause of present state. Window dressing makes the problem more difficult to tackle at later date.

USA is fighting a war on terror and Pakistan is its ally getting dollars and defence equipments for showing Pashtun as terrorists and extremists while Pashtun think that only and onlyPakistani establishment is responsible for the mess and promoting of terrorism in region for nefarious designs.Pashtun do not hold no one responsible except Pakistani rulers.Pakistan is responsible to provide security to cotizens in which she has badly failed is doing nothing and is not more than a spectator to see genocide of Pashtun Nation.Blaming others could not be justified.The dignity of Pashtun has been challanged.Those who sing songs of the patriotsm of Pakistan should ponder over as to what wrong Pashtun have committed and what remedy Pakistani rulers have in their pocket for them,if nothing as indicates then better to tell Pashtun to seek ways for them as future line of action and Pashtun should not be taught psedo-patriotism which is of no work.Pashtun have been kept deprived since its creation and are being treated as the traitors.When Punjabis are active to make Balkanisation of it then why Pashtun are being defamed before the world?Today Pakistan has bombs but having no bread to feed her People and citizens are starved to death and humaliation in 21st century which is a shame for those who are not tired to call themselves as proud Pakistanis but empty abdomens.The Taliban ARE not the creation of Pashtun society, but the creation of the Pakistan army.Pashtuns stand united for peace, but the fire of war is burning our land and we have to find the means to extinguish it. We are caught in the middle of warmongers, extremists and militants.The Pashtun nation is a victim of a conspiracy, and we are not terrorists. … The blood flowing on this border is Pashtun blood, and we will not allow terrorist to use our land.Islamabad has perpetrated a bad policy of wanting to bring Afghanistan under Pakistan’s influence. we should let the Afghans decide their own future.Let’s support peace in Afghanistan, not the insurgency.
The MMA’s defeat was largely a result of their failure to provide good government and deal with corruption; but it was also a clear sign that the majority of Pashtuns do not sympathise even with the mainstream Islamist parties, let alone with the pro-Taleban militants and terrorists, and that they are deeply opposed to the violence and unrest that the militants have unleashed in the Pashtun areas in recent months.
Pakistan is using these poor pukhtoons and innocent people as scapegoats to any regional and international reaction for any kind of terrorism whether it is within the country, regional or on international scale, sponsored by ISI and its sister organizations(ALQUIDA).Before 9/11 Pakistani Government used this land as a launching pad in creation of Taliban movement to capture Afghanistan. All international terrorist organizations were invited to be a part of this movement then world has seen what these mercenaries did to Afghanistan.After 9/11, when United state’s and allies helped Afghan people to get rid of Pakistani militia and push them toward south with international pressure on Pakistan, Pakistani’s ordered tactical retreat by inviting all these criminal’s back into tribal land with the help of ISI paid Mullahs/Clerics and ISI agents.

who are the puppets and who are the puppeteers ?
"Pakistan's supreme court has ordered the postponement of a parliamentary by-election that former PM Nawaz Sharif was banned from contesting.
It said that Thursday's vote should not be held until it had decided on a government appeal against Mr Sharif's disqualification from the Lahore poll. "
.......... so, after nawaz sharif indemnified musharraf's by voting to expand the bench to 30, they might let him run if ..... if, what? ..... and what do you do with a supreme court with the largest bench in the workd !!! ........
....... tahmed mian, who are you going to call now ? ..... sheikh rashid ??

If you surrot these millitans then is it in islam to bomb girls schools,ban women decent and normal activities,To me these talibans are not muslim at all,ISLAM is a complete code of life and Islam does not allow what talibans wants to enforce.

Re: # 70
For a long time I had been telling this largely due to teh k for kafir education by the govt schools, let alone by the jihadis. There is a pervasive teaching of hatred in the pak society and that is why even those born and brought up in the UK end up as bombers. They are the children of TNT.
The imposition of teh sharia law, cut off any kind of freedom or decency that the society could have. Can you imagine a country where murder is not a crime against teh state, teh victims family has to fight it through teh court system to get killer punished.
Only blasphemy is a crime against teh state. In that kind of institutional system, only violence can thrive, and jihadis are the best at that. Killing , robbery, torture in teh name of god..well only they will thrive and pakistan will become the first jihadic state.

Militants shave heads of ‘car snatchers’
Wednesday, June 25, 2008
Our correspondent
DARRA ADAMKHEL: Local Taliban Tuesday shaved heads of three alleged car-lifters, paraded them through Darra Adamkhel town and sent them for ‘tableegh’ (preaching) after they confessed to their crime.
Sources told The News the three accused namely Quwat Khan son of Saeed Khan, resident of Koki Khel Mastan Khel Khyber Agency, Wazirbat Khan, resident of Darsamand Tall and Wali Khan, an Afghan refugee, hired a taxi (MB-925) from Abbottabad for Peshawar.
On reaching there, they asked the driver to take them further. When they reached Jani Garhi in the jurisdiction of Matani Police Station, they tortured the driver and snatched the car from him. The sources said the driver went to Matani Police Station, where the officials on duty refused to lodge an FIR. He then approached the local Taliban for help, who after hectic efforts captured the three car-snatchers. When the Taliban grilled them, they confessed to their crime.
/////////////////////////////////////////
In the above incident, as usual, the police refused to do anything, but the jihadis did.
Paki military from the beginning have been subcontracting their work to the jihadis, from 1947 till the kargill and the continuing action in kashmir.
The same can be done by the police. The jihadis can be co-located just like the military, and the crime investigation can be given to teh jihadis. Just like the kargill, it can be denied as well.
This can put teh jihadis into good use, and they can do the killings when they come across any infidels. All will be happy, including the god.

Helping pakistan.
For a country like pakistan with poor infrstructure, corruption and the like, fresh fruit export should be the last option. Forget about exporting ripe mangos, pakis should concentrate on export of pickled mangos. They are picked when green, as such teh yield will be higher than the ripe ones, and pickling presrves it with no refrigeration requirements, apt for a country with hardly any electricity supply.
Any how the entire country is in a pickle, and mango pickling will be more appropriate for teh country. Donot forget, when jinnah coined the name, Pakistan, p stood for pickle.

Mango, potato exporters suffer Rs130m losses
KARACHI, June 24: All Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Exporters, Importers and Merchants Association Chairman Abdul Wahid said on Tuesday that mango and potato exporters have suffered a loss of Rs100-130 million due to insufficient shipping services.
He said in a statement a ship operated by Karachi Agents Sea Consortium loaded about 37 containers of mango and potato for Dubai on June 7. The ship was reportedly having problems but the fault was not reported to the exporters.
The ship sailed off on June 13 but it developed fault on its voyage, ultimately toed to the Dubai Port where it called on June 23.
