Veeresh:

Apparently some pharmacies have been opened in Isloo now:

""There's no hope at the moment," said Amna Khan, a designer purse wrapped around her shoulder as she was leaving an Islamabad drug store."

Veeresh, good to see you, why were you suspended? That's no reason to stay away from Chowk.
I saw 'Jab We Met' some time ago, doesn't that start on the Frontier Mail too?
About people coming back from Pakistan, there was an article in the TOI this week about the fact that a lot of Pakistani women near the Rajasthan border come over to deliver their babies in Jodhpur hospitals, apparently the facilities are better and the hospitals are cleaner,unbelievable though this is to me.

Nice article...Journey in Indian Railway is definitely good experience if you are able bodied person. So, many type of people and culture. Couple of long journeys in sleeper class, you can feel India...
I am really feeling nostalgic specialy my journeys from Mumbai to Calcutta by Mumbai-Calcutta mail ( home coming). The second night, it used to pass through the dence jungle of Chhotnagpur. During fullmoon nights, just used to stand near the door and enjoy the beauty....
To say in Tagore's language...
" purano sei diner katha bhulbi key re hai...."

{"Suddenly there are two policemen behind me - obviously I have been spotted standing outside in the heat and dust of the open balcony when I could have been inside air-conditioned comfort. The policemen are very polite, but thorough, with this technique of one asking the questions while both stare at your eyes intently while you answer. "Mera naam Malik hai", the surname "Malik" and the beard never fails to turn them on, the long hair confuses them."}

Veeresh,
Welcome back. We missed you old friend. Lovely travelogue that mixes suspense with political satire and even includes Dilip and Raj Kapoor. Interesting to read and fun to imagine. Good to have the bear back in business. :)

Mr. Malik - There is no greater plan - both countries are plagued with fanatics and it's time to educate people and bring about a sensible socio-economic plan to bring peace and prosperity. Let's, for once call a spade a spade.
