'When women move on, they are looking for fragments of the first man they really fell in love with in other men. And the rest is just survival tactics!'

That is so true!

And dont mention Abee, questions allow us to understand things better. Any ways, would definitely watch that movie :)

Re: # 39 Arshia

I think women are all hopeless romantics at heart, atleast most of us are. When we fall in love with this one man who just clicks, we fail to see his failings and start convincing ourselves that he will never betray our love. Unfortunately, men seem to be far more pragmatic and move on much quickly. When women move on, they are looking for fragments of the first man they really fell in love with in other men. And the rest is just survival tactics! When men move on, they just go, no baggage, no feelings.
I just watched the movie " He's not that much into you" Funny and then very true in many relationship cliches. We have been programmed to have faith in men who cannot deliver, and those who love us ardently, we treat them like dirt. Thanks for reading. You gave me something to think about:)
Regards,

A piece that can definitely be related to,especially by women....is it the same with men too? Do they feel the same sort of emptiness and numbness?
I am of the belief that there are two kinds of women (regarding this situation), those who will come back and stay and those who would think it's time to leave - I deliberately didn't say 'move on' because that would mean looking around for a new 'man' ....but then again, how can she move on and be fooled by another man yet again ? She, in any case believes men don't understand women, then who does ? :)

Re: # 36 Speechless
You are right to some extent, but then any keen observer can notice the intricate details without actual experience. I'm sure by the time we've been through two or three decades of our lives we have a good indepth understanding of human relations in almost all forms. The media, books, etc add more layers to that wisdom. With all that vast background knowledge and a fairly good grasp of a language one can come up with powerful literature.

But then, this is not by any means a denial to having any experience at all. That is practically impossible in today's world. the idea is to share a feeling or a thought that may have been experienced in a more subtle manner and has been exaggerated in narration. And pain is truly a very subjective feeling. It depends on how sensitive one is. I would consider it as my strongest drive and yet, i am very blessed in all worldly ways. So there are no hard and fast rules.

P.S i love the fact that when i write people associate the stories with my person. That is a compliment to me. It reminds me of "Sherlock Holmes, the greatest detective who never lived" Maybe someday i will have a small slot in the world of literature besides the big literary giants. Fingers crossed:)

hmmm. i cant believe that the transition of feelings into words so well could take place without experiencing them first...it takes wisdom to understand wisdom....same in the case of pain

I think I liked this 'Its over...' better. Though found the length of the other more appropriate.

You do write well.
