I agree rhussain that eventually it is the author's own choice. But when you submit an article for readers they are bound to comment. Moreover a non fiction article is meant to convey a point of view to the reader and if essence of the message gets lost due to verbosity and usage of redundant vocabulary then he does have a right to complain!!!

This is a general comment, not necessarily an accusation of Mr. Khilery's article.
Verbosity, display of vocabulary, deliberate ambiguity of main idea etc. are literary traits in many traditions. Not too long ago, language used to be the privilege of the highly educated. It is possible that oral traditions of stories were much simpler and animated than their written form.
Things have changed since then and many authors have given up the old traits. However many English and Indian/Pak authors still rely on their linguistical strength in addition to their knowledge to get their point across. I, therefore, end up always preferring American authors :)

Pramod, I hope you do not mind but I would like to agree with Ahmed Madni here. Yours is a good article and on a good subject. However, it is not readable as it is too verbose and suffers from usage of uncommon vocabulary. In order to show your command of vocabulary you have compromised on clarity and effectiveness. I hope you do not mind this suggestion.

Pramadsahib..... I have suggestion for changing presentation of yours. Now I am aware, you wrote and made efforts to accept and get published here which is not easy. You will like more people to react to presentation but you need to some changes in presentation. I agree main content is important but presentation should be inviting and pleasant.
You need to understand average reader like me and stuff should be intelligable.
Your last article 'Torrential Fecundity and Pangs of a Voracious Reader" there was no interaction or zero response.(This article got response 2 times from Masadi and Myself is not good, we both are considered weird by many.) Now if you look at Torrential, Fecundity and Voracious words make as minefield for readers as we can not understand such complex words. Please note most have vocabulary of 150 words with in heartland of india pakistan it must be falling to 100 words. Mine about 80 and most of can not spell. You need to make article attractive by dropping "heavy" obscure and strange looking words.
I always tell young men and women hefty punks (Code word for fat) who complain about opposite sex not noticing to drop weight , same people can start getting attention.
Same you take out difficult words.

Also think how you can make subject matter easy so most can fathom and comment. I read three times as generally I take three time efforts than average due my diminished mental comprehenship in general.

Generally why Indian social, political scientist and activist and thinker make so difficult to understand it almost excludes possibility of awam understanding. Recently Indian Political scientist wrote article , she admitted her brother asked to not write and keep reader out of misery.

most here have tendencies to quote exotic terms orientalism or accidentalism etc which just bumper, we do not know egypt sme said who is this guy wonder he is studying mummies egption . You need to explain explain what you want to say in short synopsis when difficult. And logic should be like chase move or mathemtical , nothing should ne taken as self evident and like river at end articl likes yours should little wide spread. Problem with article is too deep and not wide spread and should be tranquail at end. Your attitude should be like teacher.

As topic is different so at end you need to write post script and reiterate the salient features to make it accessible.

You can look at older issues of Acta Mathematica Journal, those are difficult subjects, how they explain in half page first importat parts of main body. Some times they add postscripts with even some time calculations or derivations.
Please make it accessible.
I AMY NOT BE ABLE explain what I want to say. So let me give analogy.

If you listen many hindustani vocalists you can see that. Please some time listen to famous Bandish by mr. Joshi in Gara Rag " albele ki nar". It is 70 minutes , he goes in alapi for 10 minutes and really explains( goes through all notes) for new listeners all notes are opened and like chase game he puts plan of notes while tabala is not playing. That makes listner ready for next journey when things start get moving.
Same way you need to make it easy for you definitely like to get what others feel.

I have done this suggestion in humility and no malice of nay sort is intented, I wish you good luck and peace. Good day.

Dear Mr. Masadi,
Thanks for taking time off to cast a perusal and then taking it further by raising doubt over the idea that article is trying to grapple with in the true spirit of a reader. As I have written the idea of justice as I see or comprehend it traverses every speck of the ground the tree of justice uses to have its roots splayed so deep as to make any thought of deracination inconceivable let alone exercisable. I believe that is what makes the idea of justice unachievable but only constantly pursued. My objection to democracy doesn’t stem from its being sometimes a drowsy mule helping everybody which is always better than even emergency much less dictatorship but its being susceptible to pressures and not having enough vim to shake off the ugly tails off its back as is happening in my country in certain regions. Orientalism and Occidentalism are increasingly coming together and to much relief are comfortable too in doing so. The notion of capitalistic system holding the society hostage may have been true at one time but with the passage of time this is bound to fade away. Thanks Mr. Masadi. I hold all what you said in high esteem.

The author needs to clarify the central idea of the article. When he talks of justice is he talking of perceived justice or something abstract like objective justice? If he cannot clarify the confusion between the two his article become meaningless. The perception of justice or injustice might a socially conditioned condition whereas the objective enumeration of justice might be perceived as injustice. Instead of arguing against democracy based on the above confusions, the way to get to actual as against perceived justice, people need to understand their society its structure and their place within it. Dictatorship even under the guise of justice prevents and blocks that. Difference between oriental and occidental in this regard is superfluous, what arose out of oriental societies demand for greater individual justice was co opted by the individualism sloganeering of the capitalists as they maintained the slavery of the many by the few while removing perceptions of injustice through dividing and manipulating humankind.
