What a gem! I`m sorry I didn`t read this back in October and only just discovered it after your piece about cremation. Great stuff!

Interesting story. Besides the sequel, which will be of interest, I am quite intrigued by the descriptions of the characters. The taxi ... well, no, lets take Akbar: is it true that one gives away so much about their social pecking order by their mannerisms?

I see a very interesting sequel here: Mr. Minwalla having to go to Akbar`s home to give the Jam and so letting us take a peek at the old man`s life, past and present.
