I guess the entry test in medical colleges is good gesture towards right avenue provided the implementation has been done honestly. Honesty remains a big issue in Pakistan unless crap and corrupt people not eliminated from each department. Who would eliminate those malicious? (Aik Hammam maiN sub NaNgay)

REF: Cynic/Synic

My reference to ``sincerity of Purpose`` was towards the law-makers, examiners and the Board of Education. If they can remove the element of corruption, and insincerity from within their ranks positive results can be expected. One might argue what came first: Corruption on part of the Students OR Corruption on Part of The Board of Education?

There is no two ways about it...Corruption and chances to corrupt have only come from the ones with unlimited powers. Power Corrupts..and Unlimited Power_________?

MCAT`S EQUIVALENT
I read withgreat interest the fears and frustrations of students in Pakistan, about the entry-tests. Well, for one they should know that if this happens in Amrika or Inglistan it ought to happen in Pakistan.
Amrika has its equivalent in the form of MCAT and so does Inglistan.

I guess the biggest fear for those kids is that first Abbaji and Chachji or Mamaji or Tayaji had to look for ``sifarish`` at the Matric level trying to get them good marks for entry into Pre-Med and then the same people had to pay or sifarish their way thru for good marks/ exchange of some poor kids excellent Biology Paper with theirs and then eventually find sifarish for their ``spoiled kids`` into Medical Colleges and if they did`nt get in ....look for Presidents Quota, PrimeMinisters Quota, Governers Quota, Chief Ministers Quota etc. etc.

Now these people will have to look for sifarish in the professional ranks of medical personalle, who may not be able to help because their own daughters or sons will need that ``sifarish``.

I know of Prof. Rashed Latif Khan a prominent OB/GYN with special interests in Fertility wanting his 3rd Divisioner son to be a doctor and eventually wanting him to succeed him in doing his ``fertlity business``. The kid was a jerk, did nothing but drive in a fashionable car and hanging around the cafeterias and Liberty Market, Lahore while some hard working peasents son would be struggling with cadavers in Anatomy, but eventually when the results would be announced he would fail and Prof`s. son pass with flying colors.

But this is nothing new in Pakistan. They have opened an avenue for more corruption and favoritism. Like for fighting corruption they opened up an Anti Corruption Dept. and soon it was on a rampage and they were forced to launch the Special Branch for corruption in the Anti Corruption Dept. followed by the Ihtisaab commitee to check the Special Branch and ironic yet the Chief Ministers Inspection Team to monitor all of them.

Gimme ` Em Break! and get your heads out of your asses, and let the poor hardworking people come forward. You dont need any Tests or Counter Tests to evaluate genuine intelligence.....only purity and sincerity of purpose.
